Wolverines in the Upper Midwest

Repost site.

This post was split off from an earlier post that got too large, California Wolverine Rediscovered After 85 Years. This particular post will deal with the question of wolverines in the Upper Midwest. Until recently, wolverines had been extinct in the Upper Midwest for 85-200 years.

However, one was photographed recently in Michigan. Furthermore, there have been some tantalizing sightings in Minnesota, Wisconsin, North and South Dakota and even a few in Nebraska, Iowa and Missouri in recent years. It is distinctly possible the wolverines may be reclaiming some of their historical territory in the Upper Midwest. If so, this is fascinating indeed.

Wolverines in Michigan

In 2004, a wolverine was photographed in Ubly, Michigan, 90 miles north of Detroit. They were extirpated from Michigan almost 200 years ago. DNA testing of this wolverine showed that it was from Alaska. How it got from Alaska to Michigan is anyone’s guess. On March 14, 2010, this wolverine was found dead in Sanilac County, Michigan, south of where it was originally sighted in Ubly.

There have been other sightings in Lower Michigan. In November 1958, a wolverine was seen near Cadillac, Michigan by a boy who was deer hunting.

A wolverine was sighted around 1998-2000 in Tawas, Michigan.

In August 2009, a wolverine was spotted by motorists twice in short period of time just outside of Alpena, Michigan which is on the shore of Lake Huron in the far north of the Thumb near the Upper Peninsula.

In November 2009, four people spotted a wolverine outside of West Brach, Michigan in the north of the Thumb south of Huron National Forest.

These wolverines could have come down from the Upper Peninsula of Michigan because there are wolverine sightings there. Or possibly they could have come from Southern Ontario near Port Huron, though that area is densely populated. There is known to be a population in Ontario, albeit in the northern part.

The sightings on the Upper Peninsula of Michigan have been in Delta County, Tahquamenon Falls State Park and the Keweenaw Peninsula. I assume that the Upper Peninsula population came from Ontario, possibly across the St. Mary’s River, if it freezes over in wintertime.

There was also an unverified wolverine sighting in the UP on November 21, 2001 at 3 PM, crossing Highway M-64 1 mile south of

A forest road in Delta County, Michigan. This road is in Escanaba State Forest. A wolverine was sighted here in an unverified sighting sometime between 1999-2004. During this period, there was about one wolverine sighting a year in Michigan, all from the Upper Peninsula.
The forests here have been changed massively from 100 years ago, when most of the White Pine was logged off. I assume what we have here is Eastern second-growth forest coming back in after the old growth was logged off. This second-growth explosion is fueling an increase in wildlife numbers, especially deer, all over the East Coast.
Tahquamenon Falls in Tahquamenon Falls State Park. This area is located at the far east end of the UP near Ontario. The town of Paradise is nearby, as is Whitefish Bay. If the St. Mary’s River is frozen over, wolverines may well come down from Ontario to the UP. The part of Ontario near Sault Saint Marie is pretty sparsely populated. An unverified sighting of a wolverine was reported here in 2002.

Wolverines in Minnesota

In the late 2000’s, there was rash of wolverine sightings around Babbitt, Minnesota, which is near Ely in the far northeastern part of the state near Canada. A tiny lynx population has recently also been confirmed there. The sightings around Babbitt appear to be genuine. one documented sighting in Northeastern Minnesota in 1965, but details are lacking. In 1974 there was a report of a wolverine in a hay field in North-Central Minnesota, near the North Woods. There was also a sighting on Koochiching County on the Minnesota border with Canada in 1982. That sighting was deemed credible.

In early 2008, there have been reports of dog and horse kills in and around Rollag, Minnesota lately. Certain things about the killings indicate that a wolverine may be doing this. Rollag is far to the north, getting up near the North Woods. It is east of and not far from Fargo, North Dakota.

There is also a report of a wolverine captured on a security camera in 2005-2006 at a Ford dealership in the town of Zumbrota in Southeast Minnesota. This land is very much prairie.

In 1991, a baby wolverine was seen dying by the side of the road on Highway 232 near Lake Nichols close to Cotton, Minnesota. The motorists did not know how rare it was or else they would have kept the carcass. In 1999, a wolverine was spotted by a canoeist in the Boundary Waters Canoe Area in Minnesota on the border of Ontario, Canada.

In November 2004, a wolverine was seen eating a gut pile from a dead deer near Askov, Minnesota.

In 2005, a wolverine was spotted in the Tamarack National Wildlife Refuge northeast of Detroit Lakes, Minnesota.

In Summer 2006, a fisherman fishing in the Narrows between Big and Little Cut Foot Sioux Lakes in Northern Minnesota saw a wolverine. He was able to watch it for 15 minutes until it caught his scent and left.

In Summer 2008, a wolverine was spotted in the forest of Eagles Nest, Minnesota, south of Ely and north of Tower. In Fall 2008, a hunter spotted a wolverine in the Black Brook Swamp east of Camp Ripley, Minnesota.

In 2010, a deer hunter saw a wolverine in Douglas County, Minnesota. Another wolverine was photographed near there five years later. In July 2010, a wolverine was seen by a motorist at night on US 53 ten miles south of International Falls, Minnesota. In Summer 2010, a wolverine was seen outside of Chisholm, Minnesota near Superior State Park.

In July 2011, a wolverine was seen crossing Highway 232 near Lake Nichols close to Cotton, Minnesota.

On January 12, 2012, a wolverine was spotted somewhere in Southern Minnesota. Someone went out to their car late at night, and a wolverine was by the garage. Tracks were found the very next day.

On July 12, 2012, two hunters saw a wolverine while driving on the Dick’s Parkway road 13 miles south of Warroad, Minnesota. The GPS location was given as 48 42.131, -95 20.566.

On October 20, 2012 at midnight, a wolverine was seen on someone’s driveway in Ham Lake, Minnesota.

At 6 PM on On October 13, 2013, a wolverine was seen in the Superior National Forest crossing Pike Lake Road on the east side of Pike Lake between Lutsen and Grand Marais, Minnesota. This is seven miles from Lake Superior.

On June 6, 2014, a wolverine was spotted in Jordan, Minnesota in a corn and alfalfa field. It was running away from a neighbor’s elk ranch. Two men observed it for a full two minutes. The areas consists of open farm country with some random tree lines.

On June 13, 2014 at 2:30 in the afternoon, a wolverine was seen crossing Road 327 in Watowan County, Minnesota. It was seen two miles east and six miles north of Saint James, Minnesota on the Watowan River.

On April 30, 2015, two wolverines were seen running, one behind the other, just east of Rush City, Minnesota in the Saint Croix River Valley.

In May 2015, a wolverine was photographed by a trail cam in Douglas County, Minnesota. I have seen the photo and felt that it was interesting but inconclusive. I showed the photo to a wolverine expert, and he also said it could be a wolverine, but it was unclear enough so it was inconclusive.

Old State Route 52 north of Zumbrota, Minnesota. It’s hard to believe that wolverines inhabit such terrain. Wolverines are recolonizing their old habitat on the US prairie. Why?

Many have questioned whether wolverines were actually common in prairies or if prairies merely served as population sinks. It is looking more and more like prairies are a natural home for wolverines, strange as it may seem. If these reports are accurate, it means that wolverines are re-colonizing Minnesota, Wisconsin, Michigan, and possibly also Iowa, which is fantastic news!

Prairie Island (Sioux) Indian Reservation near Zumbrota, Minnesota. Is it possible that wolverines in the past preyed on the vast buffalo herds of prairie, perhaps especially on dead buffaloes?

Wolverines in Wisconsin

The occurrence of the wolverine in Wisconsin is rare but documented.

On an unknown date, a wolverine was spotted on Peshtigo Brook Fire Road where it joins Kitzinger Road near Gillett, Wisconsin.

In May 1978, a wolverine was spotted by a boy and his father while walking along the Oconto River in Oconto County eight miles west of Crooked Lake, Wisconsin. The boy was able to observe it for one minute.

A man grew up in Land O’ Lakes in far Northern Wisconsin on the border with Michigan in an area known as the North Woods. This is an area of very thick, wild forest and swamps. There are many wolves, bears, and possibly wolverines in this part of Wisconsin.

In 1982, the man saw three wolves in his front yard. In 1990, he and his friends treed 22 different bears in a single day while training bear dogs. They also had a frightening standoff with a wolverine on that day. From about 1983-1995, when he engaged in frequent deer hunting, the man saw one or more wolverines every year.

In September 1990, a wolverine was seen several times over two weeks. The last time the man saw one was in 2006 near Rhinelander, Wisconsin. All sightings took place between 1983-2006 in the North Woods approximately between Rhinelander and Land O’ Lakes, Wisconsin. The bear density in this region is said to be incredible, or at least it was 10 years ago (Bangs 2009).

In the early 1990’s, a wolverine ran in front of a man’s car in Marinette County, Wisconsin.

In 1998, Jeffrey Wiitala saw a wolverine in Taylor County, Wisconsin while trout fishing on the Big Rib River at a distance of about 25 feet. It paid no attention to him and leisurely lumbered off into the brush.

A wolverine was photographed on top of a woodpile in Green Lake County, Wisconsin in recent years. The disposition of the photo is unknown.

There are also recent sightings in the Black River Falls area and to the north in Wisconsin from 2000-2007.

A 2003 sighting in Lafayette County in the far south of the state was regarded as credible by the the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources.

In 2004-2005, a wolverine was spotted in Niagara, Wisconsin in the fall on opening day of deer hunting season.

In Winter 2006, Mary Ann Ludwikowski of Weyerhauser, Wisconsin. In addition, Mary Ann found a dead wolverine roadkilled in her driveway. She gave it away to a man.

In October 2007, Ludwikowski and Sheri Bodecker of Weyerhauser, Wisconsin about 2 miles west of Weyerhauser. It crossed Hwy 8 and proceeded to run northeast through a large field. The wolverine that crossed the road in front of us was on a full run, but it frequently turned to look at us. We watched it run through a 40 acre field for about two minutes.

In 2010, a roadkilled wolverine was found by the side of the road in Green Lake County, Wisconsin.

In November 2010, a father and son saw a wolverine while sitting in a deer stand north of Wisconsin Dells, Wisconsin.

In March 2011, a wolverine was seen crossing Highway 53 between New Auburn and Bloomer, Wisconsin.

On July 29, 2011, a wolverine was seen crossing the highway on US 20 east of Sac City, Wisconsin.

On November 25, 2011, a deer hunter saw a wolverine run by his blind south of Gillette, Wisconsin.

In Fall 2011, a wolverine was seen twice in a one week period by two hunters in northern Manitowoc County, Wisconsin, one mile south of Brown County. Over the next year, a wolverine, suspected to be the same one as before, was seen in area.

On November 6, 2012, a wolverine was spotted by a man and his girlfriend hunting deer on their farm in Buffalo County, Wisconsin. They observed it for half a minute. A wolverine had been seen in the area 20 years before in the early 1990’s.

In July 2013, a wolverine killed a woman’s two cats at a home at in Wisconsin at Highway 53 and I-94 Highway 9 miles form Eau Claire and 6 miles form Osseo. A few days later, a neighbor came within three feet of a wolverine. Three weeks before, a nearby tavern owner said he had seen a wolverine on a county road. Around the time the woman’s cats vanished, neighbors in the vicinity started seeing their pets disappearing. Before the cats were killed, it had been eating the woman’s cat food for some time.

On August 28, 2013, a man saw a wolverine running away from a trash bin at a gas station in Elk Mound, Wisconsin.

On June 13, 2014, a wolverine was seen in a field only two miles north of Independence, Wisconsin.

North Dakota

There have been a few unverified sightings of wolverines in North Dakota recently.

In 1988, two wolverines were seen along the Little Missouri River in the Badlands of far Western North Dakota by a very experienced fur trapper.

In 1992, a man saw a wolverine in Central North Dakota while hunting sharp-tailed grouse. It was about 50 yards away.

In 2004, there was an unverified sighting of a wolverine near Minot. The observer watched it for a good five minutes.

On June 23, 2013, a wolverine was seen in the Turtle Mountains in far Northern North Dakota on the Manitoba border.

In February 2015, mailmen spotted a wolverine on their route near Rugby, North Dakota. That is 50 miles east of Minot and 60 miles south of the Manitoba border with Canada.

South Dakota

There have also been wolverine sightings in South Dakota in the past 60 years. There was a verifiable wolverine sighting in the south-central portion of the state in 1961 (Aubry et al 1967). From 1998-2016, an 18 year period, three wolverines were seen in Lake County, South Dakota. One was an adult and two were juveniles. The adult was severely mauled by people’s dogs.

On July 12, 2012, someone saw a wolverine near Nisland, South Dakota on the Belle Fourche River in Western South Dakota 25 miles from the Wyoming border. Their neighbor had seen a wolverine shortly before the sighting. People 10 miles northwest of Nisland said that they had seen a wolverine earlier.

Wolverines in Iowa

A female wolverine was Wolverines in Nebraska

Incredibly enough, there have been a number of wolverine sightings in Nebraska in recent years.

It makes sense because wolverines are native to Nebraska, at least in the more mountainous parts to the north. In the Hall of Nebraska Wildlife in the University of Nebraska Natural History Museum, there is a mounted specimen of a wolverine that was shot on Scott’s Bluff, Nebraska in the 1880’s. That area is in far Western Nebraska on the North Platte River only 20 miles from the Wyoming border. This part of Nebraska borders on Southeastern Wyoming, which is known to have wolverine populations.

In particular, wolverines have been repeatedly sighted in and around Antelope and Knox Counties in far Northeastern Nebraska near the Missouri River and the South Dakota border. This area is near Louis and Clark Lake and the Santee Sioux Indian Reservation.

In this area, there have been many sightings along the Verdigre and Niobrara Rivers. For instance, in Summer 1998, a number of people spotted a wolverine near Verdigre, Nebraska. One was seen chasing a deer out of a draw in the middle of a hay meadow.

In April 2012, a fire and range ecologist spotted a wolverine running away after a cedar burn operation in a steep area near Scotia on the North Loup River. This is about in the dead center of Nebraska.

On October 29, 2014, a wet wolverine that seemed to have been swimming somewhere was seen in a pasture in Central Nebraska near Doniphan between Hastings and Grand Island. This is quite close to the Platte River where it may have been swimming. The area is between Lincoln and Platte, Nebraska.

There has also been one sighting north of Gordon in Northwestern Nebraska on the headwaters of Wounded Knee Creek near the Pine Ridge Indian Reservation. This area is east of the town of Whiteclay, Nebraska, now the scene of a famous fight over selling booze to Pine Ridge Indians.

Wolverines in Missouri

Incredibly enough, there have even been wolverine sightings very close to Missouri.

On October 28, 2011, a man spotted a wolverine emerging from a cornfield and crossing State Highway E just south of Highway 13. This is hilly farm country. This area is in Eastern Nebraska not far from the Missouri River and is close to the place where the borders of Nebraska, Iowa and Missouri all meet. There are a number of good sightings in both Nebraska and Iowa, so it is possible, though bizarre, that wolverines may exist in Western Missouri.

Grey Wolves in Massachusetts and Michigan!

The first grey wolf in 94 years was seen recently in Michigan’s Lower Peninsula. It was a lone male. The UP, Minnesota and Wisconsin all have healthy populations. The Black Bear and wolf populations in Minnesota have shown dramatic increases in recent years, and there is now a healthy population of over 25 lynx in the Boundary Waters Canoe Area for the first time in 30 years.

In other great news along similar lines, an Eastern grey wolf, the first in 160 years, was detected in Massachusetts. It killed over a dozen lambs before the farmer shot it to death. The killing was probably justified, but it is unfortunate that the first wolf in the state in over 150 years got shot to death. There will probably be more wolves coming to the state after this one, though.

Wolverines Extinct in Sequoia – Kings Canyon?

A new study using baited trap stations, done during winter, failed to find any California wolverines in either Sequoia or Kings Canyon National Parks in the southern Sierra Nevada.

The survey utilized many trap stations set in winter for a couple of months. It was designed to test for wolverines persisting at very low densities.

It failed to find any wolverines, and the researchers concluded that the California wolverine is likely extirpated from the Southern Sierra Nevada. Many other recent studies have also failed to find any wolverines.

The researchers advocate that wolverines be reintroduced to the Sierras, since they seem to be absent from most of the range.

However, in 2009, a wolverine was photographed north of Lake Tahoe by researchers studying pine martens. DNA analysis has subsequently shown that this animal is from the Rocky Mountains and is not a California wolverine. It is not known how this male wolverine got to the northern Sierra Nevada, since the nearest population is in the Snake River Valley in Idaho far to the north.

A map of Sequoia and Kings Canyon National Parks showing the locations of the bait stations used in this survey. It also includes sightings since 1980. In the past 28 years, there have been nine wolverine sightings. That is about one sighting every three years, not a very good record.

I believe that California wolverines may continue to persist at very low levels in the Sierras.

Historical wolverine sightings in Yosemite National Park. Once again, sightings were much more common from 1920-1955 or so. But there were still quite a few sightings in the 1990’s. However, I am aware of some recent sightings in Yosemite in the 2000’s that were not included in this map. I believe that the wolverine may continue to persist at low levels in Yosemite. Click to view.

Wolverine sightings in California in the past tended to be concentrated in Kings Canyon and Sequoia Parks. This area was long held to be the last stronghold of the wolverine in California. Many detailed sightings were made from 1900-1930 in Sequoia National Park. In one, a wolverine chased two adult bears away from a horse carcass.

A map of historical wolverine sightings in Kings Canyon – Sequoia Parks. As you can see, sightings were much more common from 1920-1955 or so and have dropped off quite a bit ever since. Click to view.

Wolverines have been sighted as far south as Monache Meadows in the Dome Land Wilderness on the Sequoia NF, but the last sighting was in the 1950’s.

In 1980, definite wolverine tracks were seen at two locales in Kings Canyon National Park by trained wildlife biologists. However, tracks always count as “unverified”. But not to me. I say that at least 28 years ago, wolverines were present in Kings Canyon National Park.

I am also aware of another sighting out of Bishop, California on the Sierra crest in 1980. This sighting was by a wildlife biologist. The location of this sighting was just off this map to the north of the station labeled EV, north of Kings Canyon National Park. So from 18-28 years ago, wolverines were present in and around Kings Canyon. Whether they have been extirpated since 1990 is yet an open question in my mind.

There have also been sightings on the Sequoia National Forest adjacent to these two national parks and the Sequoia National Monument. According to the study, the last sighting was in 1988.

I am also aware of tracks spotted at Courtright Reservoir in 1990. Courtright is possible wolverine was heard near the Lodgepole area in Sequoia in 1995. It growled a frightening growl at a passerby from a small hole in some rocks that seemed too small to hold a bear.

A backcountry ranger for Sequoia/Kings Canyon National Park said that he was 9

In August 2006, there was an unverified sighting of a California wolverine in the Soda Creek drainage northeast of Rainbow Mountain in the Mineral King area of Sequoia National Park.

The Soda Creek Drainage in Mineral King, where there was an unverified sighting of a wolverine on the northeast slope of Rainbow Mountain in August 2006. This is at the confluence of Soda Creek, Lost Canyon Creek and Big Arroyo Creek in the Kern River Watershed. I have been to Mineral King once backpacking in 1973. It’s a pretty amazing place. If you can handle difficult hiking, it is worth the trip.
This part of the Sierra Nevada is a lot drier than the northern part of the Sierra where the wolverine photo was taken recently. According to a topo map I just found, the part of the Soda Creek drainage on the northeast slope of Mt. Rainbow would be very high, at about 10,826 feet. This shows that wolverines may well range above 10,000 feet in the Southern Sierras.
Fishing is banned here to preserve a population of endangered Little Kern Golden Trout. There are also endangered Sierra Nevada Bighorn Sheep in the area. I have seen these sheep in the mountains just outside Los Angeles. A once in a lifetime experience!

I recently received a report of a wolverine sighting on the South Sierra Wilderness in Cow Canyon at the 8,511 foot level. The sighting occurred in the summer of 2008 on July 19 at 2 PM. The wolverine was sighted on the east side of Cow Canyon about 20 feet from the canyon bottom. This is only 1 1/2 miles east of Monache Meadows at the far southern end of their traditional range. The sighting was by an older man who grew up in national parks and knows wildlife very well. A spreadsheet of the sighting location is here.

A webpage states that wolverines continue to exist in Mineral King.

On April 19, 2010, a woman reported to park authorities that she saw a wolverine crossing a road in Kings Canyon National Park. She picked a wolverine out of a sequence that also included photos of bear, fox, weasel and beaver as the animal that she saw.

The suggestion to reintroduce wolverines to the Sierra is probably the correct one.

The California wolverine as a proven subspecies is still controversial, and it seems to persist at either very low numbers in California or is extinct.

California Wolverine Re-discovered After 86 Years

Note: Repost.

In stunning news, researchers at Oregon State University snapped a photo of a possible California Wolverine (Gulo gulo luteus) north of Lake Tahoe between Truckee and Sierraville in the Tahoe National Forest. This is the first proven detection of a wolverine in California in 86 years – the last one was shot dead in 1922.

According to new data, the wolverine in the photo at the top of the page is from the Rocky Mountains and is not a California wolverine. Reginald Barrett, dean of furbearer studies in the West, told me in an in a recent interview that he felt that this wolverine had come down from Idaho through the Great Basin into California.

Nevertheless, in my opinion, California wolverines never left this state.

The actual location was on Sagehen Road in the Sagehen Creek area at the Sagehen Creek Field Station. This station is in the Sagehen Creek Experimental Forest. The field station itself, where the photo was taken, is at 6,375 feet.

California wolverines seem to exist more at lower elevations as one travels north in California. Towards the south in the Sierra Nevada, they are found more at 8,000-9,000 feet if sightings are any guide. It is 8.4 miles north of Truckee and 20 miles north of Lake Tahoe. Sagehen Basin itself ranges from 5,900 to 8,700 feet.

Despite much theory stating that wolverines hate any human presence, the area where the photo was taken is only 1.5 miles away from a major highway, Highway 89.

An excellent brochure about the Sagehen Creek area, listing hydrology, geology, geography, botany and biology, including insects, reptiles, amphibians and mammals, is here. Katie Moriarty, the graduate student who took the photos, was probably staying at the field station, which has excellent lodging facilities for researchers and has served as the study area for more than 80 theses and dissertations.

A photo of the first California Wolverine documented since 1922. This wild region where they were found in being proposed as a wilderness area by Senator Barbara Boxer. The probable proposed area is the proposed Castle Creek Wilderness Area . The photo shows the wolverine from the rear view.
It is probably next to a Red Fir.
In the background is what appears to be a White Fir and the tree in the foreground looks like some kind of pine. In this part of the Sierras, the Red Fir Zone (where this photo was probably taken) starts around 7,000 feet elevation.A much larger version of this pic, too large to put on this blog, is available here on the researchers’ website.

The area is in the central Sierra Nevada Mountains in Northern California.

What they mean by confirmed sighting is that it has to be backed up by a photo or a specimen. They say fur or scat also counts, but apparently that is not true, as California wolverines were confirmed via fur samples from Del Norte Siskiyou and Shasta Counties by the California Department of Fish and Game in the late 1980’s.

I know that a wildlife biologist saw one above Bishop, California in 1980, and I understand that there have been a number of other sightings by biologists. There have been quite regular sightings of these very elusive animals in California down through the years.

Live wolverines have also been trapped in far Northern Washington state in the Cascades near the Canadian border in the past couple of years.

The natural range of the California wolverine extends in California only and has been separated from wolverines in the Washington Cascades for at least 2,000 years, according to genetic studies. As a subspecies, it is controversial and is not yet accepted across the board by the scientific community.

The first description of a California wolverine was published in the Field Colombian Museum of Zoology Zoological Series in 1903 (rare online copy here). You can see in the description of the type specimen from Mount Whitney that the California wolverine was much paler than the wolverine normally found in the rest of North America.

The California wolverine is a subspecies of wolverine that split off from other branches about 2,000-11,000 years ago. The California wolverine formerly ranged into the Cascades of California and even over towards the Coast in the Northern Coast Range all the way down to San Fransisco.

It then ranged down the Sierra Nevada Mountains all the way down to the southern end of the range at the Southern Sierra Wilderness, where they were last sighted in the 1950’s. Monache Meadows is usually given as the southern end of the range, but the Southern Sierra Wilderness is south of there.

Based on sightings, it was felt that the California wolverine had declined to a very low level near extinction in the early 1930’s and then the population had been increasing slowly ever since. William Zielinski is an expert on wolverines who participated in this study.

Thomas Kucera, a researcher at San Fransisco State University, undertook a wolverine survey in the state in the early 1990’s with bait stations and cameras.

They saw quite a few animals, including many martens, a few fishers, coyotes, bears, bobcats, and mountain lions, but they found no wolverines in the exhaustive survey. The guarded conclusion then was that California wolverines were extinct in the state. I did a web search on the California Wolverine recently and most experts were saying that the the general conclusion was that they were gone from the state.

Wolverines in the Sierra Nevada

I never thought this animal went extinct in the state because I was aware of regular sightings, mostly around the Sierra National Forest, which is near where I lived for 16 years.

There has been an undated sighting of a wolverine four miles west of the Snow Canyon Research Natural Area on the Amador Ranger District of the El Dorado National Forest. This area is near Highway 88 about three miles south of Carson Pass, and part of it is in the Mokelumne Wilderness.

There have also been undated wolverine sightings in the Pacific Valley area north of the Carson-Iceberg Wilderness, an area that connects the Carson-Iceberg with the Mokelumne Wilderness on the El Dorado National Forest. Pacific Valley (map) is being considered as an addition to the Carson-Iceberg. The date of these sightings is not known.

There have been sightings at Green Island Lakes, a National Forest Service Research Station at 6,100 feet in the Lassen National Forest in Plumas County.

Wolverines have also been sighted around Eagle Lake on the Lassen National Forest.

There have been two sightings on the Collins-Almanor Forest, a large commercial forest northwest of Lake Almanor. This area is where the Northern Sierra Nevada meets the Southern Cascades.

There was also an unverified sighting of a California wolverine four miles west of Truckee on Highway 80. It had scavenged road kill from this busy interstate highway and was dragging it down into the rocks to eat it. I traveled over Donner Pass in Summer 1979. It’s quite a beautiful area.

Approaching Donner Pass from the east. Highway 80 does not actually cross Donner Pass itself anymore but actually goes two miles to the north at Euer Saddle. Donner Pass gets 415 inches of snow a year, making it one of the snowiest places in the US. Wind gusts of over 100 miles an hour are common during winter storms.

North and east of Yosemite, in the Hoover Wilderness Area, wolverines are said to persist. One was spotted there near the Virginia Lakes in the 1970’s.

In 1978, there was an unverified sighting of a wolverine near Disaster Peak (10,047 feet) in the Sonora Pass area in the Carson-Iceberg Wilderness. I went through the Sonora Pass area in 1987.

In 1979, a wolverine was spotted at Hilton Creek Lakes near Mt. Stanford (map). This area is east of Lake Edison and west of Tom’s Place in the John Muir Wilderness on the Sierra National Forest.

Hilton Creek Lakes in the John Muir Wilderness, elevation 10,705 feet. This area is near Stanford Peak. Access is out of the Rock Creek Trailhead on the East Side of the Sierras. A wolverine was seen here in 1979.

In 1980, a wildlife biologist saw a wolverine in the Robinson Flat area of the Foresthill Ranger District on the Tahoe National Forest.

In 1984, the district ranger of the Sierraville Ranger District, near where this photo was taken, saw a California wolverine running down a road in the middle of the day.

California wolverine tracks were seen here, at Courtright Reservoir, in 1990. The tracks were verified by a Forest Service biologist, but this counts as an unverified sighting, since tracks don’t count (Go figure!)
On the Downieville Ranger District on the Tahoe National Forest, a wolverine was sighted in 1989 in the Haskell Peak area.
Also on the Downieville District, another wolverine was seen in 1990 in the Upper Sardine Lake area.

Around 1990, tracks were sighted near Courtright Reservoir at 8,200 feet near Kings Canyon National Park in the southern Sierra National Forest. A local Forest Service biologist had seen the tracks.

Around 1990, a wolverine was spotted on the back side of Lembert Dome in Tuolumne Meadows in Yosemite National Park the middle of winter.

North of Yosemite on the Stanislaus National Forest, there was a wolverine sighting in the Emigrant Wilderness in 1990.

There are wolverine sightings near South Lake Tahoe. In 1990, a wolverine was sighted two miles from where Highways 50 and 89 meet in South Lake Tahoe and the southern end of the lake (map). This area is close to Emerald Bay, DL Bliss, and Sugar Pine Point State Parks. I have been to all of these parks on the shore of Lake Tahoe, but that was 45 years ago. It’s a beautiful place.

A wolverine was sighted in 1991 in the Euer Valley on the Truckee Ranger District in Tahoe National Forest.

A wolverine was seen in 1992 in the Harding Point area on the Tahoe National Forest northeast of Sierraville, and this sighting was confirmed by tracks.

In 1992, as wildlife biologist saw a wolverine in the Granite Chief Wilderness Area on the Tahoe National Forest.

In 1992 and 1993, a Biology teacher at the local high school in Oakhurst, Gary Spence, saw them two years in a row at Spotted Lakes (9,100 feet) in the far southeast corner of Yosemite National Park near the National Forest border. Spence is a good biologist and he used to go out on field surveys with the local Forest Service biologist.

Also on the Downieville District of the Tahoe National Forest, a wolverine was seen in 1993 in the Gold Lake Road and Salmon Lakes Road area.

In 1993, a wildlife biologist on the Lassen National Forest sighted a wolverine in a den near the headwaters of Deer Creek at 5,000 feet (note that even sightings by wildlife biologists are said to be unconfirmed). This area is near Child’s Meadow and is next to the southern border of Lassen National Park.

Lassen National Park’s draft management plan proposes to reintroduce wolverines to the park.

Child’s Meadow at the headwaters of Deer Creek near the southern boundary of Lassen National Forest. A wildlife biologist spotted a wolverine in a den here in 1993.

Those who keep saying that California wolverines no longer exist ought to note that all sightings are regarded as unconfirmed, even those by wildlife biologists.

Tracks are also regarded as unconfirmed sightings. This area was in private hands and was recently purchased by the Nature Conservancy. Incredibly, the private landowner wanted to put a golf course in here!

There was also a sighting in 1994 in Kaiser Pass near Huntington Lake at about 9,200 feet in the Sierra National Forest. The local Forest Service biologist said she believed the man who saw it.

Kaiser Pass east of Huntington Lake in the High Sierras. I was here in the summer of 1991 when I drove a relative and a friend to a drop-off at Florence Lake further on down the road. The road across Kaiser Pass was truly horrid and terrifying at the time, and I doubt if it has been improved. It’s beautiful up there though, and if you get the chance, check it out. A unverified sighting of a California wolverine was reported here in 1994.

The area to the west of Lake Tahoe continues to get sightings. A sighting was reported from Island Lake in the Desolation Wilderness Area just southwest of Lake Tahoe in 1994.

Another sighting was from the north shore of Loon Lake Reservoir near Lake Tahoe on the El Dorado National Forest on July 7, 1994. This is a few miles to the west of the Desolation Wilderness.

A Panorama of Loon Lake Reservoir west of the southwest shore of Lake Tahoe. A wolverine was seen here in 1994.

Another was seen in Lyell Canyon at 8,900 feet in eastern Yosemite in 1997.

Lyell Canyon in Yosemite National Park, where there was an unverified California wolverine sighting in 1997. This area is east of the Tuolumne River and southeast of Tuolumne Meadows. The Pacific Crest Trail runs through here, and Sierra Nevada Bighorn Sheep are known to exist in this area. Bighorns have been being devastated lately by mountain lions. This is poorly understood.
It appears that Bighorns are staying up high to avoid the mountain lions instead of migrating downslope as they normally do. Hence, they are being killed by avalanches when they stay in the high elevations for the winter. Bighorns and mountain lions evolved together, and it is not known why this dynamic is occurring. Domestic sheep grazing in this area is totally pointless and is ongoing.

Also in 1997, there was an unverified sighting of a wolverine off Highway 120 just after it passes Tioga Pass to the east, looking down into Lee Vining Canyon. The wolverine was sighted running away about 1,000 feet down below.

Lee Vining Canyon just east of Tioga Pass. I was near Tioga Pass in August 2003, but I did not continue down the road a ways to the pass itself. In 1997, there was an unverified sighting of a wolverine running away over a snowy ridge about 1,000 feet below near where this photo was taken. Tioga Pass is at 9,943 feet, so the wolverine was at about 9,000 feet.

In 1998, a wolverine was seen once again on the Downieville District on the Tahoe National Forest near Bassett’s Station.

The very wild area north of Lake Tahoe, especially the Granite Chief Wilderness, was considered to be one of the most likely places for the California Wolverine to be found due to the very high number of sightings in the area. In 2000, there was an excellent sighting of tracks in this area.

In 2001, a biologist spotted a wolverine somewhere on the Stanislaus National Forest, but the location was not given.

Donner Pass is where the famous Donner Party tried to cross into California in the winter of 1846-47, became trapped, turned cannibal, and ate half of their own party due to starvation. There was an unverified sighting of a California wolverine here in 2004 dragging roadkill off the highway to eat it. There have also been sightings north of Tahoe National Forest.

In 2004, there was a reported sighting north of Polly Dome Lakes at 8,500 feet near Tuolumne Meadows in Yosemite National Park.

The Polly Dome Lakes near Lake Tenaya, where there is an unverified California wolverine sighting from 2004. I was here in the Summer of 2003. I stayed at White Wolf campground and paid money for a cabin. Any lazy, old or out of shape person can do this, even you!
You drive your car into the campground and stay in a cabin! All you need is money. I even, at age 46, hiked up the murderous trail to Lukens Lake. You can do this too! All you need to do is get off your butt. Along the way, I saw a shrew running along the forest floor. Come on, when do you ever see such a thing?
I took a drive one day down the Tioga Road to Tuolumne Meadows and went by Lake Tenaya, where the scenery looks about like this. This part of Yosemite is beautiful! If you are in the area, take a drive up there in the summertime. There’s a nice highway, you don’t have to worry about a thing, and you are in the most beautiful scenery on Earth.

In 2004, apparent wolverine tracks were photographed on the trail up to Possible wolverine tracks photographed in July 2004 at Gabbot Pass on the Sierra Crest west of Bishop by Australians David Noble and Lizzy Went. There have been consistent sightings in the area west of Bishop and east of Courtright Reservoir and just north of Kings Canyon National Park over a 28-year period now.

The view from Gabbot Pass is at 12,240 feet, where an unverified sighting of wolverine tracks was made in July 2004.

In 2005, a wolverine was spotted in Tuolumne Meadows, again in winter. The observer had taken zoology courses at UCLA for seven years.

Forest Service employees have made quite a few wolverine sightings in both the northern Tahoe National Forest and in the southern Plumas National Forest in recent years.

In addition, in the Duncan Canyon Proposed Wilderness Area on the Plumas National Forest, there have been two wolverine sightings in recent years. This area is near French Meadows Reservoir.

Also on the Tahoe, in 2006, a wildlife biologist saw a California wolverine at the San Fransisco State University’s San Fransisco State University’s Sierra Nevada Field Station, 32 miles northwest of the Sagehen Creek photo site. There was an unverified sighting of a California wolverine here by a wildlife biologist in 2006.

In September 2010, a wolverine was seen on the Pacific Crest Trail near Red Cones, which is near Devil’s Postpile and Mammoth Mountain.

Wolverines on the North Coast and in the California Cascades

On the North Coast and in the California Cascades, there have been wolverine sightings in Del Norte and Trinity Counties east through Siskiyou and Shasta Counties.

There have been sightings in the lower Pit River watershed near Carberry Flat and on the Lassen National Forest at Bald Mountain and Kosk Creek Basin.

There were a number of sightings in this area from 1960 to 1974. For instance, there was a The very deep forest on the road between Hyampom and Hayfork in Trinity County. A wolverine was spotted here in 1974.

In 1980, Forest Service personnel on the Shasta-Trinity National Forest observed a wolverine on the Lower McCloud River at Chatterdown Creek several miles downstream from the Nature Conservancy McCloud River Reserve. This sighting was in Shasta County.

The Lower McCloud River at Ah-Di-Nah near the Nature Conservancy Reserve. Note the very deep forest here. A wolverine was sighted near here by Forest Service workers in 1980. Photo by Lily G. Stephen.

Dillon Creek on the Klamath National Forest is a Class V+ rapids stream. This area is extremely rugged, and it is almost impossible to hike out of this canyon. A wolverine was sighted in this area fairly recently.

There were numerous wolverine sightings in the Klamath Mountains of California in the 1980’s and 1990’s.

A wolverine was seen in Corral Bottom, 10 miles north of Hyampom, in the winter of 1989. It ran along the road in the snow for a hundred yards or so, then disappeared into a water cave in the three-foot deep snow.

Wolverine tracks were seen two times in Hyampom in the winter of 2010. Hyampom is located east of Eureka in the Trinity Alps.

The most recent sighting of a wolverine on the Klamath River was at Dillon Creek on the Klamath National Forest, 20 miles below Happy Camp (map) in 2000. This sighting occurred in Siskiyou County. The elevation here appears to be only 500 feet. Wolverines occur in deep forest at much lower elevations on the North Coast.

In Shasta County, recent sightings around 2009 are known from the secure and not endangered in the Idaho Sawtooths at the moment.

They were formerly present in many other states in the US, including Arizona, New Mexico, Utah, Nevada, South Dakota, Nebraska (!), Iowa (!), Minnesota, Wisconsin, Illinois, Indiana, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Maryland (!), New York, New Hampshire, Vermont and Maine. A good historical and present range map is here (Figure 2).

There are 14 different subspecies of the wolverine. The species is more or less circumpolar, ranging from northern Canada to Alaska across Siberia to Finland, Sweden and Norway. There are 500 wolverines in Scandinavia and 1,500 in Russia. They formerly occurred all through Norway and into Southern Sweden, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, and Northeastern Poland.

Wolverines in Europe

The southern populations have been extirpated except for a wolverine recorded in Estonia in 1986, which means they may be reclaiming former habitat there.

In Sweden they are limited to the far northwest where their numbers are growing but their distribution is irregular. There are 265 wolverines in Sweden. The population declined from 1870 to 1970 when they received protection. Since 1970, the population has been growing.

There are 150 wolverines in Norway. 100 years ago, they ranged through the whole country, but since then, they have been aggressively hunted to where they were limited to the north. Since 1970, they have recolonized the south-central area and remain in the north. Protections are in place.

In Finland it is an endangered species with a population of about 115. At the turn of the century, 50 wolverines a year were killed there. They then declined until they were protected in 1982. A good report on wolverines in Scandinavia is Wolverines in Eurasia

They are still common, though declining, in Russia, where they are common in the far east. The are most common in the Komi region (population 880). With the return to capitalism, they have undergone radical declines in the Kola (population 160) and Karelia (population 80) regions. The chaos and insanity of the return to capitalism have probably resulted in unrestricted hunting in Russia.

Wolverines in East Asia

There is estimated to be a population of 200 wolverines in the Wolverines in Canada

They were formerly found through much Canada but are now uncommon in Ontario (though increasing), extremely rare in Quebec, and extirpated from Labrador. An excellent report on wolverines in Ontario can be found on the Internet on theWolverines in Alaska

They are common in Alaska but sporadic on the islands of the southeast.

Some Interesting Facts about Wolverines

Wolverines have a reputation for being solitary and antisocial creatures. It is said that they are barely social enough to reproduce. Nevertheless, there is a good bond between mothers and kits. Kits are known to stay with the mother for up to 14-15 months. That is a very long time for a mammal.

The notion that wolverines are like orangutans in being antisocial loners is being challenged. Findings out of research in Idaho’s Sawtooths have shown a three-year old male traveling with a male juvenile, showing him the ropes and how to avoid predators and find food. They also saw a grown male playing with a juvenile female in a meadow.

Previously it was thought that females alone raised kits, and males had nothing to do with their offspring like mountain lions and so many other mammals. Females reportedly remember their natal dens and recover them when their mother dies. Males may assume the role of patriarch by fathering kits with multiple females and may visit the females periodically. The legend of wolverine unsociability may have to be rewritten.

In the West, dens are made very high in the mountains near treeline. Denning is probably the major risk to wolverines in the US, as mothers readily abandon dens at the slightest disturbance. Hence, we may need to limit snowmobiling and cross-country skiing to help preserve American wolverines.

I do not think logging has much of an effect on wolverines since they live at such high elevations. It may even be beneficial if it increases the numbers of rodents, which they prey heavily on.

Wolverines are said to be scavengers, and there is something to this, but they are also omnivores who eat just about anything. They cover amazing distances in their never-ending search for feed. They are so ferocious that they have very few enemies.

There is a recorded instance of a wolverine stealing a mountain lion’s kill and then chasing the puma away. However, a black bear was recently recorded killing a wolverine in Yellowstone National Park. The intrepid and ferocious wolverine had tried to steal the bear’s elk kill right out from under the bear’s paws.

The wolverine is member of the weasel family, and it is best described as a weasel on steroids blown up to King Kong size. They have a reputation for ferocity and viciousness. This reputation is derived in part from the tales of fur trappers.

Wolverines were notorious for following fur trappers along their lines and destroying and eating any animals caught in traps. To trappers it often seemed that the wolverine was doing this out of pure spite. Wolverines also had a reputation for entering trapper’s cabins when trappers were away and destroying everything inside. To top it off, they would spray their foul scent from their glands all over the cabin.

A wolverine is hardly man’s best friend. Here a sweet, cuddly wolverine purrs and spreads the love around. Old-timers in the Truckee area, near where the photo was shot above, say it takes only two swoops of those claws to kill a dog. The old-timers said that wolverines in that area “lived in holes.” I have seen the claws on a road-killed badger, though, and those were just amazing.

It is often said that wolverines love wilderness and refuse to have anything to do with humans. This is not necessarily true.

In Northern Ontario, many sightings were made by trappers within 1/2 mile of Amerindian settlements.

In the Yukon, wolverines frequently raid garbage dumps on the outskirts of towns.

In Scandinavia, they prey quite heavily on sheep and reindeer such that they are becoming a major predator problem. Further, they are recolonizing former territory that is now inhabited by humans, with homes, towns, roads, etc.

Wolverine fur is very valuable. It is the only fur that has the ability to withstand frost without freezing over. Hence it is often used to line the areas of parkas right around the mouth where the breath comes out. Otherwise, moist breath tends to cause frost buildup around the parka wearer’s mouth.

The low elevation record for a wolverine in California is an unbelievable 1,300 feet in Tulare County.

Conservation organizations have repeatedly petitioned the US Fish and Wildlife Service over the past decade to list the wolverine in the lower 48 as an endangered species. The petitions are constantly returned on a Catch-22 basis – the wolverine has to be studied, especially population dynamics, to determine if it qualifies as an endangered species, and it is so rare that it is almost impossible to study it.

Earlier, a wolverine petition was returned by the Bush Administration as invalid. After that, on March 11, 2008, the Bush Administration denied listing the wolverine in the Lower 48 on the basis that healthy populations in Canada and Alaska should be able to keep the wolverine from going extinct even if the wolverine is extirpated from the Lower 48.

In this, the Bush Administration took a new tack. Under Clinton and probably under all previous Presidents, a number of species were listed even though they had healthy populations in Alaska and Canada. After all, most of us live in the Lower 48, not Alaska, Canada or Mexico. And it seems odd to depend on the kindness of nations to the north and south of us to keep species from going extinct.

One problem of the lack of listing of wolverines is that wolverines can still be trapped. 8-18 are trapped every year in Montana, and biologists feel that none should be trapped anymore in the state. It appears that trapping in Montana is untenable based on new evidence.

A great wolverine article is here. It’s written by Physical Geography Professor Randall J. Schaetzl of Michigan State University. Among many other fascinating observations, he notes that the last Michigan wolverine was killed in 1860, not the early 1800’s. So the Ubly sighting was the first in about 150 years, not 200 years as most references state.

Wolverines in Colorado and Utah

Repost.

This post was split off from an earlier post that got too large, California Wolverine Re-discovered After 85 Years. This particular post will deal with the question of wolverines in the states of Utah and Colorado.

Wolverines in Utah

The Manti-La Sal National Forest in Utah in Sanpete County. This county in central Utah is believed to harbor a wolverine population. This area is northeast of Fillmore, Utah, which is the sighting nearest to Nevada.

Also in March 1979, a man junction with Coyote Gulch (Wolverine Bench” on the map in the Escalante Canyon area, and wolverines used be found into Northern Arizona. If wolverines existed in Northern Arizona, clearly they existed in the Glen Canyon area. Wolverines live in very similar habitat in the Snake River Canyon in Idaho.

The Upper Escalante River Canyon is in the Aquarius Plateau, which has 50,000 acres of land above 11,000 feet. That’s clearly wolverine habitat. The junction of Coyote Gulch and the Upper Escalante is a ways away from the plateau, but it’s likely a dispersing juvenile could be found in the area. A photo of the terrain is here.

In recent years there have been documented sightings of wolverines around Salt Lake City and the Great Salt Lake. One was photographed running through a suburban development!

Wolverines in Colorado

There was an unconfirmed and undated sighting of a wolverine chasing a boy on a motorcycle down a road in the Routt National Forest in far Northern Colorado some years ago. The Routt is near Steamboat Springs up by the Wyoming border.

There have also been incredibly, near Sterling on the Great Plains in Northeastern Colorado, which seems very odd, but looking through all of these reports, it becomes apparent that wolverines in Wyoming, Oregon, Idaho, Utah, Iowa, and Minnesota may indeed use prairie habitat.

An incredible photo of a tornado over Sterling, Colorado from a storm-chaser page. Storm-chasers chase tornadoes so they can get pictures of them, or just to watch them. Pretty dangerous sport. Click to enlarge. I think it is quite clear by now that wolverines do use prairie habitat. Even aboriginally, prairie was thought to be marginal for wolverines, but perhaps that was wrong. Pre-contact, vast herds of buffalo roamed the prairie, and there would be plenty of dead buffalo for the scavenging wolverine to eat.

Recently, there was an unconfirmed wolverine sighting 4-5 miles up Red Sandstone Road in Vail, Colorado on the White River National Forest.

A photo of Vail ski resort and the town of Vail, Colorado as seen from Red Sandstone Road, which goes north of town. A wolverine was seen on this road recently. Click to enlarge.
The famous Maroon Bells in the White River National Forest in Western Colorado. Aspen and Vail are also located in this forest. I spent a week skiing in Aspen in 1978. Great place! The White National Forest is believed to harbor a wolverine population. Along with Pike NF, these may be the only populations in the state.

Wolverines are present in Colorado on the Pike and White River National Forests and in Utah in the Wasatch and Uinta Mountains and in Sanpete County in Central Utah.

The Pike National Forest in Colorado.

A Colorado Department of Wildlife biologist spotted one south of Trapper Lake in Flat Tops Wilderness in the mid-1960’s. The Flat Tops is partly in the White River National Forest and partly in the Routt NF in Colorado.

Trapper Lake in the Flat Tops Wilderness. Canyon walls tower up to 1,000 feet at this late at the 9,500 foot elevation level. Fishing is very popular in this lake and it is said to be very good.

In July 1977, a man found a In June 1978, a man took The spectacular Trinchera Peak in the Sangre de Cristos in  Southern California. Bighorns roam on the top slopes of the mountain.

In March 1979, three biologists with the Colorado Department of Wildlife Rifle Mountain Park, 13 miles north and just beyond the Rifle Falls Fish Hatchery, the largest fish hatchery in Colorado. There is great ice climbing here during the winter and mountain climbing the rest of the year. You don’t even have to worry about rain much because the cliffs catch so much of it and you can always take shelter under one. A wolverine was seen near here in 1979.

In June 1979, a man A photo of the Aspen Canyon Ranch in Parshall, Colorado. A wolverine was seen here in 1979. Parshall is not much of a town. It is really just an unincorporated collection of small homes and trailers. There are dude ranches all around here. That may be the Colorado River in the photo, as it runs through town here near its headwaters. Fishing is supposed to be great in the river here.

In the late 1980’s, there was an unconfirmed sighting of a wolverine in the Uncompagre Wilderness on the Uncompagre National Forest. The Uncompagre is in Southern Colorado and is located about 20 miles northwest of Telluride.

There was another unconfirmed sighting of tracks from the Flat Tops Wilderness in 2003.

There have been Petition for a Rule to List the Wolverine (Gulo gulo luscus) as Threatened or Endangered under the Endangered Species Act within the Contiguous United States . Submitted to the U.S. Dept. of Interior Fish and Wildlife Service on July 11, 2000.

Additions to the Wolverine’s Range in Idaho

Repost.

The wolverine in Idaho is generally considered inhabit three main areas:

The first and southernmost population is in the Sawtooth National Forest (northern part), Challis National Forest, Payette National Forest and Sawtooth National Recreation Area in central Idaho.

Yet another population is the central population in the Lochsa River Drainage in the Clearwater and Bitterroot Mountains in Clearwater National Forest.

A third population is the northern population to the north in the Selkirks along the Canadian border.

The three populations are considered to be separated from each other, although at least the first population is thought to be healthy.

Nevertheless, we continue to get reports of wolverines in other parts of Idaho. A previous post noted a wolverine on a telephone pole along the Snake River Valley in King Hill, Idaho, earlier this year.

A radio-collared wolverine recently traveled from the Grand Tetons in Wyoming across the Blackfoot and Caribou Mountains in the Targhee and Caribou National Forests in Southeastern Idaho, across private lands to the Portneuf Range west of the The breathtaking Portneuf Range east of Pocatello, Idaho, where the radio-collared wolverine ended up. It promptly turned right around and went back to the Tetons. In the Basin and Range Region.

A grazing allotment on the Blackfoot Mountains in southeastern Idaho. Lance Armstrong, the peripatetic wolverine, crossed this range on his way from the Grand Tetons to the Portneuf Range opposite Pocatello, Idaho. Grazing is thoroughly devastating BLM and Forest Service land in this region.
The problem is particularly acute in Southern Idaho, as it is more arid.
All livestock grazing pretty much needs to be banned in at least these areas.Incredibly, livestock grazing is allowed in National Forest wilderness areas. This was one of the only ways that the 1964 Wilderness Act could get passed was to grandfather in these grazing allotments. It’s insane that grazing is allowed in wilderness areas.
Grazing is particularly devastating in high-elevation forests of the Sierra Nevada and anywhere in the arid West. The cow evolved in England and prefers a cool climate with lots of water. In the arid West, cows congregate during the summer in the riparian areas, which they completely devastate. A grand total of
Public lands grazing is welfare – the allotments are rented out to the ranchers at far below market value, so the taxpayer gets totally screwed.
Not only do we get ripped off on the rental of our lands, but we also get our lands devastated in the process. The whole thing is completely insane. If ranchers can’t make it ranching on private land, they need to get out of the business.
Furthermore, increasingly, public lands ranchers, like everything else in US capitalism, is going corporate. Mom and Pop ranchers are going out and ranching corporations are in. A large number of public lands grazing allotments are now being run by corporations as investment vehicles.

The long-ranging wolverine above was finally killed by a trapper just over the Montana border in the Centennial Range. Since the Centennials range into Idaho, we ought to add the Centennial Range in the Targhee National Forest to the wolverine’s range in Idaho.

The spectacular Centennial Range on the border between Idaho and Montana. This is where the long-ranging wolverine named Lance Armstrong was finally killed by a trapper over the border into Montana.

Montana still allows trapping of wolverines, which takes about a dozen a year. Studies are showing that even that small take may be too much for wolverines to sustain. However, the Montana Fish, Wildlife and Parks Commission recently voted to set limits on wolverine trapping for the very first time.

Additional searching around the net noted that a wolverine had been shot dead by some boys in the Snake River Canyon in Idaho a few years back. They were worried and they brought it in to the Department of Fish and Game office, but the wardens let them go because they were kids and did not know what they were doing, although the wolverine is protected in Idaho.

The Snake River Canyon near Twin Falls, Idaho. Some teenage boys shot dead a wolverine here about three years ago, but were not charged. Clearly, wolverines do exist in this part of the Colombian Plateau. This is where Evil Knievel tried his ill-fated motorcycle jump across this canyon decades ago.

There are various definitions about what constitutes the this large document (page 6 for instance) they are actually doing surveys for their dens.

Included in the appendices is a report called Survey of Wolverine Dens in the Seven Devils Mountains of Hells Canyon.

The gorgeous Seven Devils Range in the Payette National Forest in Idaho. This range borders on Hell’s Canyon and may serve as a steppingstone for wolverines to travel from Idaho across the Snake River to the Wallowa Mountains in Oregon.

There are also reports of wolverines in the Wood River Valley area. Part of the Wood River runs about 30 miles north of Twin Falls, but the Wood River Valley refers to private land about 60-70 miles north of Twin Falls. It includes the towns of Ketchum, Sun Valley, Hailey and Bellevue. We should extend wolverine habitat down from the Sawtooths into the Wood River Valley.

There have been recent sightings in the Sun Valley area.

On the The spectacular Deep Creek Range in southeastern Idaho. It is about 40 miles long, and is bounded by Arbon Valley on the East and Rockland Valley on the West as it ranges through Power County. Wolverines may well exist here. Another Basin and Range mountain range.

The Bannock Range in southeastern Idaho. Both the Bannock and the Deep Creek Ranges are southwest of Pocatello. The Bannocks extend from Pocatello 85 miles south into northern Utah through the Caribou National Forest. Wolverines may well exist in this range. Also located in the Basin and Range region.

Photos of all of these beautiful ranges can be seen on Ralph Maughan’s excellent blog. Maughan is a professor of political science at Idaho State University in Pocatello. He’s also really big on wolves.

Incredibly, the Bush Administration removed all protections for all wolves in the United States! The Rocky Mountains population is doing fairly well, but they completely removed the wolves from the endangered species list and handed management of them over to the states, who proceeded to slaughter them as fast as they can!

Web page on myths about wolves. Wolves are hardly dangerous at all to humans. Predators killed 12,100 sheep in Idaho last year. Of those, a little more than

Ranchers claim that wolves are devastating Idaho’s cattle industry. Wolves killed 24 cows in Idaho last year, .03 of all losses. All predators accounted for only

This is a clear consequence of White Rule in America. White Rule has meant a total corporate takeover of every nook and cranny in this nation, along with utter devastation of our environment and every non-utilitarian form of non-human life in it.

What’s odd is that surveys of Americans, including most Whites, show that they are strong environmentalists. But environmentalism is way down on the list. What’s high on the list? Although most US Whites will tell you that they are not racist, the movement of US Whites towards the Republican Party from 1980-present has been pretty much predicated on race.

It’s coincided with a dramatic decrease in the White

Since 1980, our White World has gotten darker and darker. Whites have dropped from 8

During the 1990’s and into the Bush Administration, we are now dealing with quite possibly the most rightwing President this country has ever seen – and it’s all the fault of White people. Why are Whites voting more and more reactionary with time? Because their rule is coming to an end.

This is a predictable political trend for any ruling group which is desperately trying to hold onto power in the face of rising opposition. In truth, ruling groups often opt for dictatorship and often fascism as they desperately try to cling to power.

In summary, occupied wolverine habitat in Idaho should be extended beyond the description at the beginning to the post to Power County, Elmore County, the Snake River Valley, the Blackfoot Mountains, the Centennial Range, the Caribou Range, the Snake River Range, the Big Hole Mountains, the Targhee and Caribou National Forests, the Fort Hall Indian Reservation, the Portneuf Range, the Seven Devils Mountains , the Snake River Canyon and possibly the Bannock and Deep Creek Ranges.

Wolverines In Wyoming

Note: Repost.

This post was split off from an earlier post that got too large, California Wolverine Re-discovered After 86 Years. This particular post will deal with the question of wolverines in the state of Wyoming. Wolverines in Wyoming do not seem to be in very good shape, but there are increasing sightings in recent years, and a few have been trapped and road-killed. Further, they seem to be expanding their range.

In Wyoming, wolverines are mostly found in the northwest near Grand Teton and Yellowstone National Parks, where the population at least appears sustainable, particularly in and around Yellowstone.

However, there was a sighting in the Medicine Bow Mountains in Southeastern Wyoming in 1991.

The Medicine Bow Mountains in Southeast Wyoming. A wolverine was sighted here in 1991.

In 1996, a wolverine was accidentally trapped near the town of Horse Creek, east of the Laramie Mountains and northwest of Cheyenne.

The scene near Horse Creek, Wyoming, where a wolverine was accidentally trapped in 1996. Actually, most of this area is drier Basin and Range or almost prairie type habitat, complete with buffalo, “hogback” mountains, and real, live cowboys.

I spoke with a man recently here in California who saw and heard a wolverine underneath a cabin where he was staying with his sons at 10,000 feet on Cloud Peak in the Bighorn Mountains near Sheridan, Wyoming. The wolverine was rummaging around under the cabin for hours and later was gnawing up a nearby woodpile. The sighting occurred in 1996.

There was a 1997 sighting from the Bighorn Mountains, a range in North-central Wyoming on the Montana border that extends south to near the town of Sheridan.

In March 1998, a wolverine killed several sheep east of Buffalo, which is east of the Bighorn Mountains.

Interstate 90 drops down into the Crazy Woman Basin east of Buffalo, Wyoming. A wolverine killed several sheep here in March 1998 and was spotted by a rancher. This area, the Powder River Basin, is undergoing a huge amount of methane natural gas extraction which is sucking a huge amount of water out of the ground and spraying it on the surface.
This is causing homeowners’ wells to go dry. They lose all the value of the home, and the natural gas companies refuse to reimburse them because the homeowners do not own the mineral rights under their land. That’s the way capitalism works in America – the score is Capital-100 Humans-0, and masochistic Americans just can’t get enough abuse. There is also a fear that many area watercourses, such as the Powder River and Crazy Woman Creek, are going to dry up part of the year, endangering many fish endemic to the area.

A young wolverine was captured only two miles north of Cheyenne, Wyoming, the state capital, in 1998. Cheyenne is a city of 53,000 people.

Cattle grazing in Veeda Vou Park north of Cheyenne. A subadult wolverine was captured just two miles north of Cheyenne in 1998.

A wolverine was killed by a car along Highway 30 in 2004 near Fossil Butte National Monument near where Utah, Wyoming, and Idaho all come together.

The view down into Chicken Creek that runs through the heart of the Fossil Buttes National Monument in Southwest Wyoming. Fossil Buttes is on the left. A wolverine was roadkilled here in 2004. Some think that wolverines have their winter range in the lower Basin and Range sagebrush zones. Here the terrain is mostly sagebrush, but aspens grow at higher elevations. Very large numbers of fossilized fish have been found in this area.

There are also sightings from the Wyoming Range in Far Western Wyoming south of Jackson Hole.

In 2005, a female wolverine was being monitored in the Salt River Range along the Idaho border. She was also using the Wyoming Mountains. The Salt River Range is next to the Wyoming Mountains.

Wolverines also are thought to live in the Tetons and the Gros Ventre Range south of Yellowstone and in the Absaroka Range east of Yellowstone near Cody. Jackson Hole is located in the Gros Ventres.

A couple of wolverines were documented on the Wind River Range about 75 miles southeast of Jackson Hole near Lander in recent surveys.

In general, wolverines in Wyoming are thought to be in poor shape. They seem to be slowly recovering territory and spreading out into new areas. One reason for this may be that the large wolf population in Yellowstone is providing a good source of carrion for wolverines with all of the ungulates that they are killing. Another reason may be much less broad-spectrum predator poisoning in the state in the past few decades.

Wolverines in New Mexico

Repost.

This post was split off from an earlier post that got too large, California Wolverine Re-discovered After 85 Years. This particular post will deal with the question of wolverines in New Mexico.

Wolverines may yet exist in New Mexico. Latir Peak in the Latir Peak Wilderness Area in the Sangre de Cristo Mountains near Taos, New Mexico. A wolverine was sighted in tundra here in 1985.

There have been several other Lake Fork Peak in the spectacular Sangre de Cristo Mountains in northern New Mexico. The red line indicates the route taken by mountain climbers who bagged this peak. There have been several sightings of wolverines in this rugged range in recent years, and northern New Mexico was formerly wolverine habitat.

Wolverine Sighted in Shasta County, California

There was an unconfirmed sighting of a wolverine in Shasta County, California a year ago, on Friday, September 26, 2008. The sighting occurred at 1 PM on a sunny day. The wolverine was crossing Highway 89 from north to south. It was walking fast more than running.

It was described as paler than most photos the observer had seen – more of a dark tan. This color is actually common for wolverines, and if this was an actual California wolverine, this subspecies was known to have a much lighter coloration. He observed it crossing the road at about 50 feet away until it vanished into the forest.

The observer assumed it was a pretty common animal until he went on the Net and did some research and found out how rare it was. He reported the sighting to this blog, and I believe him. Anyone who wants to talk to the observer about this sighting can try to contact him via me at my email

This area of California has actually had a number of wolverine sightings in recent years, including some by wildlife biologists. In addition, loggers, utility workers and Forest Service workers have been reporting sightings in the Lassen/Almanor area for years now. Bizarrely, even sightings by wildlife biologists are said to be “unconfirmed”.

The sighting was around Dead Horse Summit, about 20-30 miles west of McCloud, between the small towns of Bartle and Pondosa. This area is near MacArthur-Burney Falls State Park. That’s a really beautiful area. This part of California is very White, deeply conservative and very sparsely settled. I have been near this part of California, but it was so long ago, I don’t even remember it.

Dead Horse Summit. This is where the far southern end of the Cascades Range of Washington, Oregon and northern California meets the far northern end of the Sierra Nevada. This is an area where the California spotted owl probably intergrades with the Northern spotted owl. Wolverines are already known to exist at decent populations in southern Oregon.
These are definitely California wolverines. If the California wolverine subspecies is to repopulate California and the Sierra Nevada, it will be through this corridor linking the two ranges.
There is a fascinating old railroad track that runs through this area. You can take these little several man-railroad cars that cruise along the tracks and check out this train track. It’s really popular with model railroad fans for some weird reason. I’m not even sure if this track is even used by real trains anymore. As far as I can tell, it’s a tourist trap for model railroad dudes. Funny.

Wolverine Spotted in Snake River Valley

Repost.

This is actually a pretty interesting sighting. We have always known that there are wolverines in the national forests of mountainous central and northern Idaho and there are some sightings in the Hell’s Canyon area of the Snake River along the Oregon/Idaho border, but I was not aware of any recent sightings in the Colombian Plateau of Idaho until I read this article.

The terrain in King Hill, Idaho. Not exactly prime wolverine habitat, but wolverines have been road-killed and trapped in similar locales recently in Wyoming, Oregon and Utah.

However, recent sightings and roadkilled wolverines in similar habitat in the West in Utah, Oregon, and Wyoming indicate that wolverines do use such habitats, possibly especially when dispersing.

This wolverine was actually sitting on a telephone pole in the middle of the day near a small town!

A wolverine got stranded on a telephone pole in King Hill, Idaho on March 25 of this year. That photo actually looks kind of ridiculous. Tell me again how these animals hate people so much that they can’t stand to go anywhere near us. Right.

It was spotted along Montgomery Road near King Hill, Idaho. King Hill is located about 57 miles northwest of Twin Falls, Idaho. Wildlife officials were called in and decided to just wait around until the wolverine climbed down off the pole.

The initial caller had reported a badger on a telephone pole, but badgers don’t climb. They can dig a hole faster than any animal alive, but they can’t climb a thing. Badgers and wolverines appear to be relatives – they are both very large weasel-type animals.

There have been two other sightings of wolverines in “the valley” (apparently the Snake River Valley, whatever that encompasses) in the past two years. I don’t know much about the economic base of this county, but at least wine grapes are grown here.

Sagebrush terrain in the Eastern Snake River Valley of Idaho. King Hill is at the western end of the Eastern Snake River Valley. Pretty odd to find wolverines here, but they have been spotted at least 3 times in 2 years in this region.

The fact that wolverines are dispersing out in the Great Basin may mean that some day in the not too distant future they may return to Nevada. King Hill is a mere 63 miles north of the Nevada border.

Wolverines in Nevada

Repost.

This post was split off from an earlier post that got too large, California Wolverine Re-discovered After 86 Years. This particular post will deal with the question of wolverines in the state of Nevada. The standard line is that wolverines do not exist in Nevada and have not been reported there since the late 1800’s, when they were reported from the ranges in the northeastern part of the state.

However, it was recently discovered that there was a verifiable wolverine sighting in far east-central Nevada close to the Utah border, near Great Basin National Park, in 1972.

But given that wolverines seem to be in the process of recovering their range in the Western US, it seems plausible that wolverines may reappear in Nevada at some date. They have been seen on Steens Mountain in southeastern Oregon near the Nevada border. It is also possible that they may drift down from southern Oregon into northern Nevada.

At any rate, this post will examine historical locations for wolverines in Nevada, and include photos of the ranges where they may have been spotted.

John Muir reported wolverine tracks from Wheeler Mountain (map here) in what is now Great Basin National Park in 1878, but there were no sightings. Since then, a wolverine skull was found in Snake Creek Burial Cave near Great Basin National Park 11.3 miles south of Baker, Nevada, and only 2 1/4 miles west of the Utah border.

That skull was found amidst bones from over 10,000 years ago and has not yet been dated, so it may not be a recent find. On the other hand, the Pleistocene assemblage at that elevation continues to occur nearby in Great Basin National Park, albeit at higher elevations. The nearest known occurrence of a wolverine to the Sand Creek skull is in Utah, 93 miles to the east near Fillmore in Millard County.

Fillmore, Utah, the nearest wolverine sighting to the skull found at Sand Creek Cave, Nevada. It’s amazing that wolverines can live in this kind of high Basin and Range territory. There is very similar terrain on Highway 395 north of the California border on the way to Carson City, which I visited 21 years ago. Pinyon-juniper is common in this terrain.

In addition to Muir’s report, there are reports from pre-1900 of wolverines in the northeastern part of Nevada.

Snowside Gulch in the Jarbridge Wilderness in northeastern Nevada. The Jarbridge Mountains are to the north of both the East Humboldt and Ruby Mountains and rest on the border with Idaho. Wolverines may have occurred in this range before 1900.
The Ruby Mountains in northeastern Nevada. This may have been one of the ranges where wolverines occurred in Nevada pre-1900.
Chimney Rock in the East Humboldt Range to the north of the Ruby Mountains in northeastern Nevada. Wolverines may have occurred here before 1900.

Alt Left: Video of Doctor at Mariupol Maternity Hospital Proves the Attack Was a False Flag

“The truth about the Hospital attack, where 6 babies were born. You can believe the curated stories from the MS-Western Media or THOSE who were there. At the very least PEOPLE need to tame their outrage before the FACTS.”

Excellent! An interview with a physician, an obstetrician who worked in the maternity hospital where the Ukrainians and NATO did their false flag. He says everyone was thrown out on February 25 and they all went down to the basement where supplies were very short. Azov turned it into a base. At the time of the false flag, the base was abandoned. He says there was no plane or bombing; instead, a Ukrainian tank fired a shell at the hospital, apparently deliberately as part of the false flag. Any casualties such as the pregnant woman and her unborn baby who died, were caused by Ukraine deliberately firing on the hospital as a hoax to blame Russia. The doctor also points out how the Ukrainians looted the hospital and stole just about everything that wasn’t tied down. They also interview other people who were hiding in the basement at the time.

Now there should be no doubt at all that this was a false flag.

At the beginning of the video, a woman shouts that the whole city has been waiting for the Russians to come rescue them. “Thank God you are here!” In other videos, everyone in Mariupol says exactly the same thing and curses the Ukrainians. In fact, a number of them ask, “What took you so long?”

Any urban warfare results in massive damage to the city. Typically, 8

Anyone complaining about what the US did to Rafah in Syria where they fired more artillery than in any engagement in the Vietnam War? They killed 3,500 civilians. They were mostly killed by Trump. Obama had put in strict rules of engagement to protect civilians, but Trump took them off and civilian casualties jumped by 10X. So Trump killed over 3,000 civilians in Rafah.

In Mosul, the US and the Iraqi Army (mostly the Iraqi Army) simply leveled the entire city with artillery. An incredible 40,000 civilians were killed. The US justified it. Liberal Democrats I talked to said it was just fine because “everyone in the city was an ISIS supporter.” Ok, so it’s all right to kill enemy civilians, then, is it? Nice to know! So why so upset about a few civilian deaths in Ukraine? That shows you right there the depravity at the heart of your average US liberal Democrat, who’s basically a monster.

Alt Left: Latest NATO/Ukrainian Lies March 27, 2022

Russians are using white phosphorus weapons. False. Those are illumination charges.

Ukraine is winning the war. False. Look, they’re just not, ok. This is war propaganda to keep the Ukrainian troops’ and populations’ morale high. The idea is if they told the truth about their losses, the people and army would quit fighting.

There is another reason for this and that is that NATO wants everyone in the US to believe that Ukraine is winning and Russia is losing. Why they do this, I am not sure, but it is probably also for the reason of keeping the morale of Western populations high. Also the “Russia is losing so they are desperate” lie is good because it means “Russia will soon resort to desperate measures such as nuclear, chemical, and biological attacks.”

Russia is readying a nuclear attack. False. Have you ever looked at Russian nuclear doctrine? It only allows the use of nuclear weapons in the case that the country has been invaded and the very existence of the state is at stake. This is much better than US nuclear doctrine, which advocates using nukes for all sorts of reasons, even if we are losing a battle or a war and there is no threat to the mainland.

Also, the US has used tactical nuclear weapons twice since 1991, and Israel has used them three times since 2008. The US and Israel are the only countries on Earth who used nuclear weapons in the last 30 years. Two of the most evil countries on Earth.

Russia is readying a chemical weapons attack. False. Russia doesn’t have any chemical weapons. They destroyed all their stocks. But Assad didn’t have any either, and that never prevented NATO from using Al Qaeda to fake one chemical attack after another, of which absolutely zero actually took place. Not even once. No chlorine attacks either. I’ve been studying this for years, and I know more about it than most people you will meet.

Now, Assad is pretty bad and he killed a lot of people all right, but he never used chemical weapons, and he never massacred whole villages of civilians. All of those were false flags done by Al Qaeda, the Free Syrian Army, the Army of Islam, etc.

Russia has used chemical weapons before. False. They never have. The Novichok attacks were all faked and never even took place. The Skirpals were dosed by BMZ, a hallucinogen, by MI6. Novichok was later added to the sample in a NATO lab in Europe. But it was laboratory pure, and any Novichok chemical weapon would be weapons-grade. And Novichok is simply fatal. If it used at all, it kills you.

If the Skirpals and Navalny had been dosed with Novichok, they would all be dead along with several people around them. Navalny was never dosed with anything. No toxins of any kind were found in his body. He was soon whisked away to a laboratory controlled by BND, German intelligence, who claimed that they found Novichok in his blood. They never presented this evidence to the public. Also remember how the stories around these poisonings kept changing almost every day?

That’s how you know you are dealing with a provocation of false flag attack. Every time there is an outrageous, depraved attack with uncertain or dubious motivation where the story is constantly changing, it’s always a provocation or a false flag. Every time. With real incidents, the story doesn’t change with every new day. Something either happened or it didn’t. NATO has gotten away with every false flag it’s ever done, and that’s been a whole lot lately.

Obviously they are going to keep doing them (and they are in Ukraine) because every time they do them, the media plays along, and all the suckers and chumps in the West believe them. It’s possible that these fake Novichok chemical weapons attacks by Russia were designed to lay the groundwork for a big false flag chemical weapons attack by Russia – “Hey, they used them before…”

It also appears that Livinenko, the double agent, was killed with plutonium by MI6 in order to frame Russia. This is from a former top French intelligence officer.

Russia is readying a biological weapons attack. False. Russia doesn’t have any biological weapons. We should know as we helped destroy all of them, while cleverly keeping all of our own stock. And those 33 biolabs in Ukraine and 330 biolabs around the world, all run by the Pentagon, are certainly biological weapons labs.

As soon as the research was banned in the US, the US just took it overseas. Everywhere these damned labs go, breakouts of weird and rarely-seen diseases seem to occur. That’s highly suspicious. The truth is that Russia uncovered the Pentagon’s bioweapons labs in Ukraine, and while vociferously denying that they were bioweapons labs, the US changed the subject and turned it into “Russia is going to do a biological weapons attack.” I can’t believe how much the US projects nowadays. If you want to know what the US or our allies are going to do next, look at what they accuse our enemies of doing next.

Ukraine blew up a Russian ship at a harbor on the Azov Sea. False. A fire started on a deck, and the flames spread to the ship, catching ammunition on fire.

Ukraine counterattacked around Kiev, gaining 30 miles, surrounding Russian forces at Irpin and Gosomel, and retaking Irpin. False. None of this happened.

Ukraine retook Irpin. False. They are now mostly to the south of the city and seem to have been pushed out into the town to the south of it.

Ukraine did an offensive near Nikolaev, taking a lot of territory and moving towards Kherson. Unknown.

Ukraine has counterattacked and is now inside Kherson city. False.

Russia has lost 15,000 dead and 45,000 wounded. False. That’s 60,000 men out of commission. That would be 1/3 of their force right there. Forget it. The truth is that Russia has suffered 2,000 dead and possibly 6,000 wounded, a loss of

The US media is now fact-checking its stories. False. They just say they are. I followed a lot of these fact-checking stories, and they almost all involved Russia. Some claim about Russia was false. Perhaps it was. But all of the fact-checking about Ukraine revealed that false pro-Ukraine, anti-Russia stories were almost always fact-checked as true, and any true claims about the US, such as us having bioweapons labs in Ukraine, were fact-checked as false. In other words, the fact-checkers are pretty much lying like maniacs. Totally worthless. I guess that’s the latest media scam: worthless fact-checkers!

200 people died when Russia bombed a theater full of civilians sheltering in it in Mariupol. False. We’ve already been over how this most certainly did not occur. But now the media has found “witnesses” to the attack. However, they only say that Russia bombed the building. They weren’t there. This story has been changing forever now.

People in the theater and nearby told interviewers that Azov mined the roof and ceiling of the theater, ordered everyone out, and then blew it up. We have no footage of the theater being attacked, rescue crews or ambulances or wounded or dead at the scene – absolutely nothing. Of course if this really happened, there would be media all over it. They’ve also never presented the names of any of these victims or interviewed any of their relatives or friends.

Russia is using its best weapons, so that means it is running out of weapons period! False. That doesn’t even make sense.

7

Russia is running out of smart bombs, so they are using dumb bombs. False. My understanding was they never had many smart bombs to start with, and they still mostly use dumb bombs.

Many Russian soldiers are suffering from frostbite around Nikolaev. False. This comes from captured conversations between Russian troops. The recording is apparently a forgery, and the frostbite allegation is not true.

Captured recordings of Russian soldiers show that they are looting homes, raping women, and having contests to see how many civilians they can kill. Probably false. Russian troops are under strict orders not to do any of these things. If these things are happening, they may well be punished. But there’s no good evidence that these things even occurred.

Russians are interdicting humanitarian convoys leaving Mariupol. False. I don’t even know what that means. But they are letting many people leave the city in their own vehicles. I’m not aware that evacuation buses are being allowed in yet. Russian humanitarian aid has been in the city for a while. Russians have to go so slow because they have to rescue civilians from bomb shelters and basements, provide humanitarian aid to people, and help people leave the city.

Russians have not taken Izium. True in a sense. Russians have taken most of the city, but there are still Ukrainians in the south of the city, although much progress is being made in clearing the area. Russian forces have now taken Kamenka.

Russian attacks in Rubizhne and Popasnaya east of Izium have failed. False. Fighting is ongoing in both Rubizhne and Popasnaya. Ukrainians are in the southern part of Rubizhne. There’s no good picture on the fighting in Popasnaya.

Ukrainians recaptured Makariv to the west of Kiev. False. The mayor says fighting is ongoing in the city.

Ukrainians recaptured parts of Vorsel and parts of Moshchun to the northwest of Kiev. Unknown, but this was included in a comment about retaking much of Irpin, so it may not be true.

Ukraine claimed that they captured the cities of Malynivka and Poltavka near Hulyaipole. But Russia never said they had taken those towns. There is fighting in both of those towns right now. This is heading out towards Zaporozhye

Alt Left: The Unprovoked Invasion Lie: The Ukrainians Attacked Russia First

They engaged in repeated provocations in the weeks leading up to the invasion. Before they did this, the US warned that Russia would engage in false flags inside the Donbass to set the stage for war. Then the Ukrainians set about to engage in provocations in the Donbass, all which were denounced by the US as “Russian false flag.”

The aggressors were the Ukrainians.

They shot shells at Russia twice in the weeks before this started. They landed on open ground. That’s a casus belli. The US said it was a “Russian false flag.”

And they sent an expeditionary force in an armored car that invaded Russia and got five miles inside. The Russians took it out. It’s all on videotape. That’s obviously a casus belli right there. The US said it was a “Russian false flag.”

Ukrainians infiltrated Donbass and tried to blow up a gas pipe. There is footage of this. The US said it was a “Russian false flag.”

Ukrainian saboteurs threw a bomb into the main Donbass TV station. The US said it was a “Russian false flag.”

Ukrainian Special Forces blew up the car of a top Donbass general. The US said it was a “Russian false flag.”

Obviously they’ve been trying to provoke an invasion. That’s been their modus operandi for eight years. I was on Donbass groups with people who were deep in with the Donbass rebels and the Kremlin. From the very start they’ve been saying that the project is to bait Russia into invading Ukraine so they can drop the hammer on Russia. They said that Russia sees this as a trap that was set for them and was refusing to take the bait.

Russia finally took the bait and here we are.

You can also argue that Russia had a responsibility to protect ethnic Russians in the Donbass from the genocidal war waged against them by Ukies.

“Efforts to solve this peacefully should have been done before the war, but the chance is gone.”

Wake up already. The Russians and pro-Russians have been screaming to stop this war from starting for eight years now. That was what the Minsk Accords were all about. The Ukrainains have refused to implement the Minsk Accords they signed, possibly on orders from their American masters. The Ukrainians and NATO did everything possible to make sure this did not end peacefully.

The Ukrainians and NATO wanted this war. That’s why it’s happening right now. It could have easily been avoided, but the Ukrainians and NATO didn’t want it to end peacefully.

Alt Left: The “Russian Puppets” Lie

The “Russian puppet” president of Ukraine, Yanukovich, was democratically elected in a free and fair election. He was trying to ride a thin line between being pro West and pro Russia. The EU offered him a deal to join, but it was terrible, total austerity and destruction of the working class. The Russians offered him a much better deal, so he went with that. Half of the people wanted to go to the EU and half wanted to go to Russia, 50-50.

The US would not tolerate Ukraine orienting herself to Russia, so the violent CIA Maiden coup was set off where NATO snipers trained in NATO camps in Poland opened fire on both cops and protestors and left 100 dead. This false flag was blamed on the Berkut police, and the government was overthrown in a violent coup. A radical Ukrainian nationalist Nazi regime was then installed, the first such regime since WW2.

They immediately declared total war on all Russian speakers. The Donbass rose up. I was on groups at that time who were deep in with the Kremlin and the Donbass leaders. Russia refused to support the rebellion for a long time and would not even give them guns. People complained about Russia’s lack of support all the time. Sound like puppets to you?

Russia wanted federalism for the Donbass, not this mess. But there was no to be federalism on orders of the US. Sound like puppets to you?

Finally Russia started sending “military surplus” to the separatists as the war stepped up, but the separatists always complained it was not enough. The separatists kept asking for more weapons, but Russia would not give it to them. Sound like puppets to you?

Russia finally invaded when it looked like the separatists would going to lose, but they also ordered the separatists to stop soon. Hence, the separatists  stopping short of Mariupol and did not seize it on Russian orders. Sound like puppets to you?

Since then, the Donbass for eight years has been asking to be taken in as a part of Russia, but Russia always told them to take a hike. Sound like puppets to you?

All this time, the separatists had long since declared independence, but Russia refused to accept it for eight years because they preferred a federalism settlement that left the Donbass a part of Ukraine. Sound like puppets to you?

Finally, after all efforts at peaceful settlement were rebuffed by the Nazis and NATO, Russia recognized the republics. But they still refuse to take them into Russia. Sound like puppets to you?

That doesn’t sound like they are puppet at all. They are allies, yes, but they have many differences, and Donbass people are often mad at Russia because Russia won’t do what they want. Russia was opposed to the separatist rebellion from the start, refused to arm them, then only armed them a bit, then helped them but forced them to stop far short of their goals, then refused to recognize their independence for eight years until finally Russia had had enough and caved in.

For eight years those were Donbass people fighting for their land, not Russians. Yet Ukraine and NATO lied the whole time, saying it was the Russian army. It wasn’t, absent maybe a few advisors and military intelligence.

It should be obvious by now that the separatists are absolutely not Russian puppets, and the separatists and Russia had great differences, with the Russians opposing the separatist project from Day One until a few days before the recent invasion. The separatists are often angry at Russia for not doing what they want Russia to do. These are two separate groupings, each with their own agency, and neither one is a puppet of the other one. I fact, they have been at odds with each other for most of the last eight years.

Alt Left: Nazism in Ukraine – An Overview, Part 3 of a Four Part Series

NAZISM IN UKRAINE – AN OVERVIEW Part 3 of a Four Part Series

This war in the 1930’s was a class war more than anything. As I said, 7

The Ukrainian Jews which had swarmed to the Reds in the Civil War, also remained serious supporters of the USSR during the Holodomor period. The ONU Ukrainian ultranationalist fascist group was founded in the late 20’s and started waging attacks at that time. All through the 30’s, the NKVD was killing a lot of them.

Even before the Nazis even invaded Ukraine in1941, the ONU under the hero of the Ukrainian nationalists Stepan Bandera started killing Jews in Lviv already in 1940. The Lviv pogrom was horrible. There is footage of it on Youtube. Bandera’s ONU pursued the Nazi “Jewish Bolshevism” theory that “Communism was Jewish.” Judeo-Bolshevism continues to animate Ukrainian ultranationalist Nazi theory to this day, a movement supported by 20-3

Bandera’s group also killed Poles, Gypsies, and Russians. In the end, they killed 200,000 Jews and 90,000 Poles. The SS turned over to the ONU tasks that even the SS shied away from, like killing children. The ONU relished in such tasks. The ONU was so bad that many Ukrainian Jews sought refuge from the Wehrmacht to save them from the ONU! The Wehrmacht was not the SS, and although it committed many crimes, in other times, they saved and protected Jews as it was not a force that was ideological at its core. It was mostly the SS and Einsatzgruppen who were the Jew-killers.

The ONU had massive support in Western Ukraine, and Bandera and all of his associates are the heroes of Ukrainian nationalism. All of the heroes of Ukrainian nationalism were Nazi collaborators. The Ukrainian nationalists from 1917-1923 are best seen as proto-Nazis or pre-Nazis. As the USSR reconquered Ukraine, the US and UK hustled the Ukrainian nationalists out of the country to the US, Canada, and Australia.

Alt Left: Nazism in Ukraine – An Overview, Part 4 of a Four Part Series

NAZISM IN UKRAINE – AN OVERVIEW Part 4 of a four part series

As soon as the ink was dry on the German armistice, the CIA was signing up these Ukrainian nationalist Nazis for a guerrilla war in Ukraine. That war went on until 1956 and was put down with extreme brutality by the NKVD. Unfortunately, they didn’t kill all of these Nazi nationalists, and by 1959, many were left alive. It was these seeds that went on to flower into the current Ukrainian nationalist regime.

For the remainder of the USSR, nothing much happened in Ukraine. It was the second wealthiest Soviet republic. Khrushchev gave Crimea to Ukraine as a gift. Khrushchev himself was Ukrainian. Many Russians today have Ukrainian roots and relatives. When Ukraine went independent in 1991, the nationalists/Nazis came out of the closet and showed up again after a long absence. However, from 1991-2013, nationalists/Nazis were at a fairly low level in Ukrainian society, as Ukraine was not ruled by Ukrainian nationalists.

After the violent CIA Maidan coup of 2014, a violent Ukrainian nationalist regime was put back in power. These nationalist/Nazis have been in power from 2014-to present. During this time they have flooded Ukraine with Ukrainian nationalist/Nazi propaganda.

In Kiev in 2018, there were posters for the Right Sector everywhere you looked. In Kharkiv in 2019 it was even worse. There was nationalist graffiti including swastikas and “foreigners out of Ukraine” everywhere you looked. The Nazi Azov Battalion had a recruiting booth set up in the town center and was quite busy. As in Mariupol, the Nazi battalions set up shop here and turned this city into a base. Both cities are majority Russian speakers.

So there you have it. Ukraine is not necessarily a Nazi country, but Nazis have been in power for the last eight years, flooding the country with Nazi propaganda. Instead of saying that Ukraine is a Nazi country, it is better to say that Ukraine has a Nazi problem. Ukraine probably has the worst Nazi problem on Earth. Most people are not Nazis, but the state is Nazi and has been for eight years. In that time they have brainwashed many people.

Probably 20-3

Latest NATO/US Lies and Propaganda about the Russo-Ukraine War, March 23, 2022

To be continuously updated. I’ll have more coming as the BS flows in throughout the day.

A woman who jumped onto a newscast in Russia holding an antiwar sign faces up to 15 years in prison. False. She’s already had a trial. She was fined $300. Her case is over.

Russian attacks have been destroying the water, food, TV, radio, and power in cities they attack. False. What little I have heard of is that the Ukrainians are turning off their own power, electricity, and water supplies in cities under attack. We have no idea why they are doing this. I haven’t heard of any of this getting shut off by Russian attacks, although they did take out the TV tower in Kiev but that’s because

The war is stalemated. False. Russian and separatist republic forces move forward ~5 miles a day. These forces typically take 4-5 new towns a day. Ukraine had the 3rd largest army in Europe and they are fighting very hard. They’ve had eight years to dig in, especially in the Donbass where they are dug in so deep it’s very hard to dislodge them. Most of the Donbass towns are a real slog.

A beautiful Russian model criticized Putin, so he had her murdered and had her body stuffed in a suitcase. False. Her boyfriend murdered her a year ago. He was convicted in a court of law and is now serving a sentence.

The school in Mariupol that where 400 refugees took up residence and were bombed by Russia is an art school. We just learned that. False. There’s no evidence that this event even took place. Russia is going so slow in Mariupol because they are trying to preserve as many civilian lives as possible.

Russia is running out of manpower and equipment. Apparently false.

Russia is having to dip into second string reserves who are poorly trained. False. My understanding is that Russia has not used any of its reserves. It used some conscripts in the beginning but then it sent them home.

Russia has used chemical weapons in the past. False.

The US feels that Russia is getting ready to do a chemical or biological weapons attack. False. And their evidence for his is…? Nothing.

Russia made up a lie about US bioweapons labs in Ukraine (except it wasn’t a lie), which somehow means Russia is getting ready to use chemical or biological weapons herself! False. How they arrived at that odd conclusion is not known.

If we do not help Ukraine, Russia will commit a “genocide” in Ukraine. False. Russia has actually been dramatically going out of its way to try not to harm civilians. A Newsweek article today finally admits this. Yes, 1,000 civilians have died, but Russia could have killed many more, especially if they used US methods of scorched Earth warfare.

If we do not help Ukraine, Russia overthrow the Ukrainian government and start World War 3. False. How does one follow from the other. This is the old “If we don’t fight the Islamist terrorists over there, we will have to fight them here” lie. Anyone notice that it never came true?

Ukraine’s recent offer is reasonable. Ukraine will agree to not join NATO and in response, Russia will initiate a ceasefire and leave Ukraine. False. Russia would have to be insane to take that offer. What about denazification? What about Donbass and Crimea? What’s to stop them from joining NATO.

Ukraine’s offer on Donbass and Crimea is reasonable. This question will have to be put to voters via a referendum. False. Like Hell it does. Anyway, obviously the voters are going to vote no on letting either one go.

Russia is bogged down in a stalemate. False. On the contrary, Russia is encircling the cities and laying seige to them. Further, Russia and the separatist armies are advancing by 3-12 miles every day. Every day they capture another 4-8 villages.

Russia lacks air superiority. False. Russia has total air superiority. The Ukrainian air force is shot. Yes they have some anti-aircraft weaponry, but they are not shooting down many Russian planes.

Russia is planning a huge cyberattack on the US that will shut down America. False. This will also trigger Article 5 of the North Atlantic Terrorist Organization. Even this is dubious.

Russia’s use of supersonic weapons reflects not an extreme advantage but instead is a sign of desperation that they are running out of weaponry. False. LOL no.

A Russian newspaper said Russia had suffered 10,000 casualties. False. They were hacked by Ukrainians. The true figure may be 2,500.

Ukraine has shot down 100 Russian jets so far. False. LOL no.

Putin is getting ready to send in his own “fascist forces.” False. I don’t believe Putin has any fascist forces.

Putin is a Nazi like Hitler. Russia is a fascist country. False. While Russia is authoritarian, it is probably not fascist. Many authoritarian countries are not fascist.

The way to fight fascism in Putin’s Russia is by helping Ukraine. This is an antifascist gesture. False. LOL no. The way to stop an antifascist Russia is by supporting Nazi fascist Ukraine. Yeah. Makes sense!

If Russia is not stopped in Ukraine, it will attack the Baltics and Poland. It may well also attack Swedish islands and especially Alaska. False. Nope. Notice how they throw Alaska in there? Putin is going to attack US territory!

Russia’s supersonic missiles are nothing special. They’re just regular missiles. False. LOL no, are you kidding?

Putin is increasingly isolated and erratic. False. We don’t have any evidence for this.

Putin is mentally ill, senile, or has long COVID, all affecting his mind and judgement. On the contrary, he’s quite sane.

According to a Russian dissident, the Russian people oppose the war. False. 1

The mass Putin rally in Moscow was fake. False. The only reason people came is because they were forced to or were paid. Dubious. The wildly enthusiastic crowd of 200,000 is the largest in a long time.

Putin is the richest man in the world, worth hundreds of billions of dollars. False. There’s no evidence to support this. This is simply inferences people are making. His own salary is rather modest.

Russia is having resupply problems. Apparently false.

Navalny is the leading figure of Russia’s opposition. False. Well, not really. He only has

Navalny’s conviction on fraud is politically motivated. Probably not, and even if it is, so what? He broke the law. The guy’s a criminal and a corrupt fraudster who’s been engaging in financial crimes for many years. He deserved his sentence.

Tucker Carlson and a few MAGA Republicans are pro-Russia. False. Both have condemned Putin, Russia, and the invasion. More properly, they are isolationists.

Alt Left: The Latest US/NATO Lies and Propaganda, March 21, 2022

We have somehow recorded five false flags so far in this war, most in the last few days. They’re centered around Mariupol, which is false flag central because the Ukrainians are losing.

Update! Russia is taking Mariupol residents out of the city to Russia where they are putting them in some gulags or internment camps. Unknown. I haven’t the faintest idea what is going on with this rumor. I don’t know who these people are or why they would do this. 9

Ammonia plant false flag. Russia attacked an ammonia plant in Sumy. False. Russia warned of this one two days ago. It said nationalist battalions had mined this plant and planned to blow it up as a false flag. Turns out two days later, they do just that. Occam’s Razor says the Ukrainians blew up the plant as a false flag to blame Russia. Otherwise you have to believe that Russia told everyone they were going to bomb a chemical plant and then did it because they really, really wanted to bomb a chemical plant! Get out.

Mariupol theater false flag. More information on the Mariupol theater false flag. Turns out that the entire theater was cleared out when the Azov Battalion bombed it with the mines they had laid on the roof and ceiling. They got all the civilians out of the place first. The US media talking about pulling civilians out of the rubble is all lies. We have no video of this attack, any victims or survivors, or any rescue efforts.

No doubt because there are none. The building was empty when they blew it up, like the maternity hospital. The Ukrainians keep changing this story all the time. Whenever a story keeps changing, you know it is a false flag or fake attack. Notice how many times atrocity stories the US reports keep changing every day? That’s because the US/NATO is pretty much False Flag Central at this point. I’ve got some news for you. In real attacks, the story doesn’t keep changing all the time in essential facts.

Mariupol mosque false flag. Russia attacked a mosque in Mariupol with artillery. False. 80 people were inside trapped in the rubble. This was a Ukrainian attempt to drag Turkey into the war but it didn’t work. Turkey called up the mosque and the people at the mosque said there was no attack and everyone was fine.

Mariupol school false flag. Russia bombed a school with 400 people in it. False. No video of the attack, survivors, victims, rescue crews, people being pulled out of rubble, etc. Obviously this never even happened, like the mosque fake.

Chernhiv false flag. We didn’t understand this one. Russia shot 12 people standing in line to buy food. False. Russia said there were no troops in the city. We had no new information however reports from Ukrainian social media from inside the city report that a nationalist battalion shot the people as a false flag to blame Russia. They killed their own people!

Russian artillery hit Kharkiv, 21 killed, 28 wounded in two schools. False. Finally got some new information on this one. All casualties were soldiers. All schools are closed. Kids are in online learning if at all. Ukrainian troops are taking up residence in schools, as you can see.

Russia attacked an old folks home in Luhansk Province, killing 40 civilians. False. It appears that Ukrainian troops took over this facility and used the old people as human shields. When they took it over, they made all the staff leave but they let the old people stay for whatever reason. The Ukrainians used it as a base to fire on the LNR forces. LNR forces recaptured the old folks home from Ukraine, but 40 old people died in the attack. 15 survived. I blame Ukraine for using these people as human shields.

Ukraine destroyed a Russian ship. False. The ship is still sailing.

Russia gave residents and Ukrainian forces until this morning to get out of Mariupol. After that they were going in and they were going arrest everyone and put them on trial in military courts for war crimes. There are still 300,000 people in Mariupol. False. Those people support Russia! Why would Russia do this to them? This only applied to the Azov Battalion and the local officials who were working with them. They were given a chance to save their hides and get out without being arrested today. They refused to surrender so the war goes on.

Ukraine has tried to set up humanitarian corridors for Mariupol all week, but Russia keeps stopping them. False. The opposite is true. Russia has been setting up the corridors and Azov has not been letting people leave and shooting at people if they do.

Russia has destroyed Mariupol. False. Civilians fleeing blame Ukrainian forces for 8

Mariupol is a gigantic war crime by Russia. False. 9

Russia is going to use a tactical nuclear weapon. False. There’s no evidence and I’d be really surprised if they do. They only countries that use these horrible nuclear weapons are two of the worst countries on Earth, the US and (((Israel))). Those are the only countries low enough to do a crime like that. I see no reason for Russia to do this.

Ukraine is going to win the war. False. LOL don’t think so.

The war is stalemated. False. This is coming from the absolutely useless US military officials and military experts on TV, all of whom are completely useless because everything they say is a lie to make Russia look bad and make Ukraine look good. That’s not analysis. It’s propaganda and lies. Russia does not appear to be stalemated. Instead, they are taking their time and going very slowly in an attempt to preserve as many civilian lives as possible. Putin feels that Ukrainians are his brothers, so he instructed forces to preserve civilian lives to the extent that they could.

Russia is targeting civilians. False. That means deliberately targeting civilians just to kill them and for no other reason. I haven’t seen any evidence of Russia doing this even one time in this war. This is one of the most careful modern warfare efforts I’ve ever seen. It’s been a while since I’ve seen an army try to preserve civilian lives to this extent. Of course civilians get caught in crossfire, hit accidentally and are hit collaterally in attacks on military targets.

Russia attacked a shopping mall in Kiev with a missile, targeting a civilian target. False. Not really. Well, they did attack a mall, but they did it in the middle of the night when it was closed. The mall was used as a firing range for artillery. Military vehicles were stored inside the mall and there was a huge weapons depot in there too. It was a military target.

The Azov Battalion blew up a swimming pool in Mariupol, killing 80 civilians. Unknown. This is a claim from separatist sources. I have no information on this and I don’t know why 80 people would be in an (empty? indoors?) swimming pool anyway.

Russia is not letting buses into Mariupol to take civilians out nor is it allowing humanitarian trucks in. False. There is a long line of humanitarian trucks outside, all Russian. So Russia won’t let their own trucks in! Russian humanitarian aid is already in the city distributing food, so food is now getting into the city. I don’t know about the buses. Maybe it isn’t safe enough to let them in. But Russia has been allowing ~10,000 people/day to flee in cars in recent days.

Russia is violating the UN Charter by deliberately targeting civilians so the war is illegal. False. Russia’s not deliberately targeting civilians. In modern wars, civilians are almost always deliberately targeted anyway, so I’m confused why Russia is being singled out here. The US deliberately targets civilians in every war it fights to the best of my knowledge.

Russia is suffering 1,000 casualties a day. False. Probably not. I would estimate more like ~400-500, but I’m not sure.

(((Zelensky))) is trying desperately to negotiate a settlement to the war. False. LOL. The other day (((Zelensky))) said that he wanted Ukraine to join NATO right now and he asked NATO to let his country in immediately. Unfortunately, a country at war cannot join NATO. (((Zelensky))) has been saying for a while now that he won’t join NATO, then today he says he’s joining. As you can see, there’s nothing to negotiate.

This (((clown))) has to be one of the biggest liars in the universe.

That said, as awful as the Ukrainian Jews are, I suspect that Ukrainian Gentiles might be even worse. Those Jews don’t care about anything but money, (((as usual))). They’re mostly thieves and crooks and they use the fascist nationalists to stay in power. Furthermore a lot of Ukrainian Jews are fascists themselves or at least put on airs of such. Ukrainian Jews are Ukrainian nationalists. I just have no respect for Jews who get into bed with literal Nazis as part of some sleazy Machiavellian realpolitik or zero-sum game, sorry. If you’re a Jew, the least you can do is hate Nazis!

According to Turkey, Ukraine and Russia are near agreement on Ukraine being neutral, not joining NATO, demilitarizing, and denazifying. That leaves out Crimea and the separatist republics, which Russia will not negotiate away. False. Most people think this is not true. See Zelensky’s comments above for more on that.

They think the Turks are just lying to make themselves seem like super negotiators. The Turks like even more than those people, and that’s pretty bad! And they’re far worse human beings too, and that’s pretty bad too. Jews at least have good qualities. Turks don’t, or they don’t have enough to outweigh the bad. Turks are literally a fascist people. Not just a fascist state. Fascist people. Sort of like Ukrainians, you know.

Russia is bringing in Syrian mercenaries and other foreign fighters. False. Many antifascists have volunteered to fight fascism in Ukraine. 10,000 Chechens are already in the city. A contingent of South Ossetian volunteers just entered the country. Two planeloads full of Syrian government troops have volunteered to fight in Ukraine.

There are a number of Armenian volunteers too. Were the people who went to fight fascism in Spain in the Spanish Civil War mercenaries? Well of course not. Then neither are these people. I’m not sure where you draw the line between volunteers and mercenaries but they seem to be very different concepts.

Russia is going to resort to bringing in foreign fighters because they are desperate and losing. False. As noted, many foreigners have already volunteered to fight fascism on the side of the Russian antifascists. There are many volunteers in Russia too who are dying to go fight, but they have not received permission yet from the state.

The world is united against Russia. False. l1

Six or eight Russian generals have been killed so far. Unknown. One pro-Russian source says it’s not true, but in general there doesn’t seem to be any clarification on this one way or the other.

Alt Left: The Latest Lies of the Russo-Ukrainian War

Civilians Being Targeted: False. I have yet to see one single of case of civilians being deliberately targeted by Russia. Sure, there have been civilian deaths and injuries. These always happen in wars no matter how hard to try to avoid them. Civilians typically get targeted in wars nowadays, but I haven’t seen any cases of the Russians doing it.

On the other hand, Ukraine has targeted civilians many times in the Donbass and in Mariupol. Ukraine considers them to be enemy civilians and hostile. After they withdraw from an area, they often shell it and level the whole place. They abuse the civilians in the cities they control. They won’t even let them go outside. When they go outside, sometimes they are targeted by Ukrainian snipers. When people try to get out of these pro-Russian areas, the Ukrainians shoot at them.

We have a number of videos from citizens of Mariupol. All of them are blaming Ukraine for everything and the Russians for nothing. And many say that Ukraine shot at people who were trying to leave. They also told residents that they were not allowed to leave and if they tried to leave they would be shot at “by Russians.” Much of the structural damage in Mariupol is being caused by Ukraine just shelling the buildings, especially as they withdrawal. Once again this is from testimony from Mariupol civilians.

I have no information about Ukraine targeting their own people when they try to flee in pro-Ukrainian areas. That would seem to be stupid. Armies target hostile civilians, not friendly ones.

Russian bombing of Mariupol theater: False. Three days before this incident occurred, pro-Russian sources announced that according to civilians in Mariupol, the Azov Battalion had wired the theater with explosive and were going to blow it up to blame Russia. Sure enough, three days later, an explosion occurs at the theater exactly as predicated and Russia was blamed. But there were no Russian aircraft active anywhere in Mariupol on that particular day.

Furthermore, Russia was aware of the situation in the theater where Azov was holding people as human shields and using the upper floors for firing, and the theater had been removed from the target list. Yes, Azov had written CHILDREN in huge block letters outside the theater, but they wrote that in front of every large building in the city no matter who was in there. They did this to make it seemed like Russia bombed a theater even though CHILDREN was written outside, apparently just to be evil.

Russia knew there were civilians in there and said so and  removed it from the target list. However, 9

Azov told people to leave before they blew up the theater. But there were still many people in the bomb shelter in the basement which was not damaged in the attack. Nevertheless, there are still people down there buried under the rubble. Russia knew they were in that basement. Why do they blow up their own supporters and bury them in rubble? That makes no sense.

We now have videos coming out from people who were in the theater saying it was indeed full of civilians and Azov had mined the roof and wired the ceiling. As they withdrew, they told people to leave, and everyone left except for the people in the basement. Then Azov withdrew and blew up the theater. We also have another video from a woman in Mariupol who also says, “The Ukrainians blew up the theater.”

So it’s settled. The whole attack was faked. Why would Russia announce that Azov was going to do a false flag in the theater and then go ahead and bomb it anyway, just because they really, really wanted to bomb a theater full of civilians? It makes no sense! On the other hand, Azov is highly motivated to blow up a theater full of hostile civilians who support Russia in order to blame Russia.

Russia has been shooting at people trying to leave Mariupol and other locales in the Donbass. False. We now have interviews on video of Mariupol residents and residents of Volnovakha. The Mariupol people are all saying that Ukraine shot at people trying to leave and forbade people to leave. They even shot at buses of people trying to leave. There’s video testimony from the victims themselves! What more do you need?

The majority of Mariupol refugees are fleeing to Ukrainian controlled areas near Dnepropetrovsk. False. In fact, only

Russia won’t allow aid convoys to come into Mariupol. Unknown. I have no information on this, but it seems odd as those convoys are made up all of Russian vehicles. Is it possible the situation is still too dangerous?

Russia is kidnapping people from Mariupol and putting them in camps in Russia where they are torturing them. False. I have no idea what they are talking about. As noted, 9

Russia has mined the Black Sea, which is dangerous as the mines have done loose and now threaten shipping in the Bosporus in Turkey. False. Ukraine laid a lot of sea mines which have now come loose and are floating around the Black Sea.

Russia will throw Russians in prison for 15 years if they criticize the invasion or call it a war. False. First of all, “Putin the dictator” did not do that. The Duma did and it was democratically elected. To date the worst offender has been an anchorwoman who jumped behind a newscaster and waved a sign saying, “Stop the War.” She was just sentenced to pay a $300 fine for this rather grievous offense.

18 million Russians openly oppose the war. They can’t arrest 18 million people. They will have to triage.

I am on pro-Russia Russian sites, and pro-Russians call this a war all the time on there. I got tired of counting how many times they said. Those sites are also full of either Ukrainians or antiwar Russians. The antiwar Russians are pretty bad, and they’re practically traitors. There are many of them on these forums. Nothing is done to them. They’re not even banned! People just insult them.

The woman demonstrating with the sign on Russian TV fears for her safety and that of her child. False. Give it up.  She had to pay a whole fine of $300. Now they’re going to murder her? No way.

All opposition media in Russia is shut down. False. Depends what you mean by opposition media. The media that was shut down represents a section of society that gets

Russia is running out of manpower, fuel, and food, and its supply lines are badly stretched. Hence it has stalled out and can go nowhere. False. Progress indeed is slow as it is supposed to be when you are trying to minimize civilian casualties. Keep in mind that this nonsense is coming from the Pentagon, “US intelligence” (glowies), and military analyst media talking heads, all of whom are worthless in my opinion. They’re all lying to spin this as badly as possible for Russia. I haven’t found any good evidence that anything in the first sentence is true.

Ukraine is winning the war; Russia is about to be handled a humiliating defeat. False. The Western media features endless stories about Ukrainian success on the battlefield, how they are winning or are going to win and how Russia is losing or is going to lose.

On the contrary, Ukraine is losing the war and Russia is winning the war as best I can tell. The Ukrainian Air Force is gone. The Ukrainian Navy is gone. There are desertions. In some places, soldiers have run out of food and are raiding local homes to get enough to eat. I will grant that the Ukrainians are fighting very hard and well, and I credit them for that. They are being very brave and noble in many places on the battlefield.

Russia has lost 7,000 men KIA in this operation. False. This is from US intelligence glowies. Not buying it. That’s way too high. Try 2,000 KIA. I will agree with that figure.

Russia has lost 18,000 KIA and Ukraine is trying to repatriate 14,000 Russian KIA to Russia for burial. False. Forget it. Get out. It can’t be more much more than 2,000, and I doubt if many of them are in Ukrainian hands.

Ukraine conducted a counterattack in NE Kiev and Russia suffered major losses. False. On the contrary, the counterattack was fought off by Russia, and Ukraine sustained serious losses.

15 killed, 21 wounded by Russian shelling in Kharkiv. Unknown. I suppose it’s possible. These things happen in urban warfare.

1 killed, four wounded in Kiev when Russia targeted an elementary school. False. Ukraine shot down a Russian missile, and it landed on an apartment building, hence the casualties. There was an elementary school right nearby, but the missile was not targeting either the school or the apartment building.

Russia is deliberately targeting schools and hospitals. False. I’ve seen no evidence of this, and this goes against Putin’s directive to spare as many civilians as possible.

Zelensky made a video with a backdrop of Kiev, proving he is still in the capital. False. All of my information is that he is in Poland, and he has been there for a while.

Zelensky made a video showing a conference between him and leaders of Poland, Slovakia, and Czechia taking place in Kiev. Russia was warned and cleared the way for the train. False. This entire video was faked. We know this from analysis of the film and also from sources inside Poland. None of them ever left Poland. Instead it took place in Poland on the border with Ukraine.

The train was a train parked at that city. The part of the video where they are having a conversation in a train while going to Kiev is faked. The train is standing still. In the video there are journalists present but we believe there were no journalists at this fake meeting. Instead those men are Polish Secret Service posing as journalists. One of them ended up next to Zelensky in the meeting but he forgot to take his bulletproof vest off.

A number of Western stenographer-whores, I mean journalists, know full well that this whole video was faked but they reported it as it happened anyway. Sickening.

Russia will soon run out of lifesaving medicines. False. They have enough for 3-6 months and the foreign companies that supply them will continue to do so. Also many of them are made in Russia, and the Russian government is now forcing these companies to produce these drugs, and they will not be allowed to stop.

Russia will be thrown off the GPS system. False. You can’t just throw a country off of the GPS satellite system. There’s no way to do it. Also Russia has its own alternate GPS system that works just fine anyway.

China is embarrassed by their alliance with Russia; the US will be able to separate Russia from China with sanctions on China. False and probably false. The first part is not true at all. They have a strong alliance, even stronger now because they both know they are in the same boat. I do not think the US will be able to throw a wedge between the two countries.

Putin is a dictator. False. The Duma passes most legislation and if they won’t pass bills, they won’t get passed. Putin is not Stalin. Putin is quite limited in how he can act towards his political enemies because he has to follow the law, and this limits him a lot. The Russian people do not want to have a dictator anyway and do not think Putin is one. To them a dictator is Stalin.

Putin is a fascist. False. He seems to disagree with this movement pretty strongly. I’m having a hard time understanding how it is that Putin is a fascist. Can someone clue me in here? He’s coming from the anti-fascist tradition of the USSR. Remember this guy is former KGB.

Putin is a Nazi. False. He hates Nazis and he has nothing against any ethnic group. At any rate these groups have much greater rights in their country than they do in ours. The Russian Empire has long been multiracial and multi ethnic. Yes, there are Nazis in Russia, but Putin doesn’t like them, and a number of those organizations have been made illegal.

That’s about all for now! I’ll have more tomorrow when Ukraine, the US, the West, and NATO will dole out another huge helping of lies! See you then!

Alt Left: New False Flag May Be Coming In Ukraine

New false flag coming up. These things tend to happen a few days after the Russians warn about them, so be prepared.

“In Sumy, nationalists have mined the ammonia and chlorine storage facilities of the Sumy Jim Prom chemical plant with the aim of mass poisoning the residents of the Sumy region in case the Russian Armed Forces enter the city,” the military official reported.

In addition, the nationalists are preparing provocations with toxic chemicals in the village of Kotliarovo, Nikolayev region, southern Ukraine. “For this purpose, tanks with toxic chemicals have already been placed in the building of the local elementary school, which are planned to be detonated when Russian troops approach,” Mizintsev specified.

Sure, same old, same old. How many times did we see these theatrics in Syria. Not even one of those many damned “chemical weapons attacks” in Syria even happened. It’s just the US and (((certain people))) made this crap up as a casus belli for attacking Syria. That’s because if you can prove that a country used banned weapons, you can intervene in their war by international law.

According to Maizintsev, the preparation of such provocations is carried out with the direct assistance of the USA and a number of European Union countries that consider Ukraine as their “anti-Russian policy tool”.

Well of course the CIA, MI6, and NATO are all in on these false flags. They’ve probably been in on all the others too.

The US and NATO wanted to intervene in Syria, but they had no legal basis to do so, so they had to construct one. We have a copy of an email from a DIA agent in Syria asking when the chemical weapons attack was going to happen. Further, we have a recording with John Kerry badgering the Turks to get the chemical weapons attack done.

The actual attack was done by a combination of the Turks and Al Qaeda. The victims were all Christians and Alawi taken prisoner in Northern Syria a year or two before. They were killed in a room with poison gas, probably carbon monoxide. We have a photo of this room with green canisters in it and gas hissing out of them. These enemy civilians were then passed off as “chemical weapons victims.”

Except…

Except no Sarin was found in any of the victims’ bodies.

Except no one saw or heard a mortar attack to deliver the sarin.

Except that the symptoms did not look like sarin poisoning. If anything, they looked like carbon monoxide poisoning.

Except they did somehow poison a few of their own people with their sarin, but the levels were so low as to be harmless.

Except that many of the “sarin victims” had slit throats. I never knew sarin poisoning slit your throat.

Except that the smoking gun captured by the Jews was no smoking gun. The Jews intercepted a message from the Syrian military asking, “Hey, did we just conduct a chemical weapons attack?” They were asking this because they had never heard of it because it never happened.

Except that the UN itself stated that the Syrian government had not conducted that sarin attack.

Except that the MI6, in a rare moment of honesty, found that the sarin used was not Assad’s sarin, which was all made with a certain recipe.

Except that the sarin looked like “bathtub sarin” made by amateurs.

Except that the bathtub sarin looked exactly like some bathtub sarin that Al Qaeda members were caught with in Turkey. Like I said, the Turks were in on this.

Except that MI6 told the CIA that the sarin wasn’t Assad’s, and they passed this on to the CIA.

Except that the CIA told Obama that Assad did do a sarin attack, so Obama called off his “red line” used as a pretext to invade Syria.

Except the attack was done precisely on the one-year anniversary of Obama’s line in the sand speech where he said that Syria using chemical weapons would result in an invasion. Would you believe that Syria was so stupid and insane as to conduct a chemical weapons attack on the anniversary of that deadly speech?

Nevertheless, even though the US, UK, and the Jews all knew that the attack was completely fake, they all used it as a pretext to force Assad to get rid of his chemical weapons. He was keeping them as a deterrent to nuclear armed Israel. So the UN came in and oversaw the destruction of all of Assad’s chemical weapons and then affirmed that they had all been destroyed.

Nevertheless, even when Assad was certain to have destroyed all his chemical weapons, mysterious attacks with nonexistent chemical weapons kept happening. Remember the chemical weapons bullshit about Iraq when they never had any? Well, American retards fell for the chemical weapons when they never had any either all over again with Syria. They fell for it with Iraq, released they’d been played like morons, and then ten years later, the fools fell for it one more time. It it looks like they are going to fall for another chemical attack false flag now in Ukraine.

Suckers!

It’s now accepted across the political spectrum from left to center to right in the US that Assad used chemical weapons many times in Syria, even when he didn’t even have any! I almost want to say “fake left,” “fake center,” and “fake right” because the US political spectrum is all fake. It’s monolithic. When the “left”, “center”, and “right” all believe on an array of issues, like support for all US foreign policy, you don’t have a political spectrum anymore.

You just have a bunch of clowns who all agree on many things, some of these agreeable jokers calling themselves “left”, others calling themselves “center” and others calling themselves “right.” When your whole political spectrum agrees, you don’t have a spectrum anymore. You have a monolith. And when 10

I have a ton of news channels on my cable. Not one will give me a pro-Russian point of view. There are many US newspapers and newsmagazines. Not one will give you a pro-Russian point of view. Sure, if you want to go out of your way to try to find certain websites, you can find this point of view. However, the private sector, acting in the role of a state, is now banning most pro-Russian content.

Sure we have freedom of press. Free for everyone who owns a printing press. Which is about no one. Free for everyone who can afford an incredibly expensive TV or radio license. Which is about no one. Yes you can be a dissident but there’s no way to get your views across to anyone via any media outlet. That’s a completely controlled totalitarian media, sorry. You clowns are free at all. You just think you are. Suckers.

You all buy every single lie that State Department, the CIA and the luggenpress (lying media) dole out.

A Ukrainian nationalist comes to the site:

Jumangi McCaulkin: Slava Ukraine forever and always. fuck putin fuck russian genocide

#freeprussia #freemoldolva #freeGeorgia #LiberateTransisteria #unifymoldolva The LPR & DPR ain’t even real LOL Fuck the internet research agency especially allah akbar

A Ukrainian nationalist. As you can see, he’s a fascist like all of them. There’s not one Ukrainian nationalist who’s not a fascist. No such thing.

Slava Ukraine forever and always.

“Glory to Ukraine” or “Slava Ukraina” is a slogan of Stepan Bandera’s ONU Ukrainian nationalist army. All Ukrainian nationalists say this chant, and Nancy Pelosi herself belted out this fascist/Nazi chant in the middle of the US Congress!

fuck putin fuck russian genocide

Goes without saying. There is no Russian genocide. I don’t think I’ve ever seen an army so careful to limit civilian casualties in a war as Putin is in this war. It’s pretty amazing. The Israelis do a pretty good of it too. I hate them, but I admit that they are good on this, and hat’s off to them for that! The only reason Israel does that is because it not a Judaic society but instead is a Judeo-Christian society.

#freeprussia

This is about Kaliningrad being “Russian occupied territory. It was German land and the USSR annexed it at the end of WW2. The Germans don’t seem to want it back. It’s only an issue with Russophobic fanatics like Balts, Poles, and Ukrainians.

#freemoldolva, #LiberateTransisteria, #unifymoldolva

All three are a reference to the Transdniestria region of Moldova, supposedly Russian-occupied territory. This is an industrial, mostly Russian-speaking region in the far east of Moldova. They actually declared their independence as soon as the Moldovan SSR declared its independence. The Transdniestrians refused to go along and declared their secession from Moldova. But this actually happened before the USSR even broke up, so “Russia” had nothing to do with it.

The Transdniestrians were afraid that Moldova was going to annex itself to Romania as it keeps threatening to do. For what ever reason, these Russian-speakers didn’t go along with that. There was a short war and then Russian peacekeepers moved in and its been a frozen conflict ever since. Transdniestria has declared its independence and sees itself as an independent state. This guy wants Moldova to forcibly annex Transdniestria to Moldova.

That’s going to start a war and Russia might just get involved. I don’t think Russia wants to annex Transdniestria, but they’d probably like to see it as an independent country. This is a “screw Russia” hashtag. Transdniestria is extremely pro-Russia and ~8

#freeGeorgia

This is similar. When Georgia declared its independence from the USSR, South Ossetia and Abkhazia refused to go along because Georgian nation-building said that everyone in Georgia and had to speak the Georgian language. It didn’t give legal status to any other language and to this day, it still does not.

The Mingrelians, the Abaz, the Bats, the Svans, and the Laz people all suffer from this, but I think the Abaz have negotiated some sort of autonomy.

The Abaz speak a NW Caucasian language like Abkhaz.

The Bats speak a NE Caucasian language like Chechen.

The Svans, Mingrelians, and Laz all speak Kartvelian languages like Georgian.

All of these language except Abaz are in pretty bad shape.

The Abkhaz and South Ossetians declared independence from the new Georgia. Georgia attacked. Brief wars followed in which the South Ossetians and Abkhaz both won. Russia moved in and put peacekeepers there and these have been frozen conflicts ever since. The Abkhaz for a long time wanted to be part of Russia but now they want to be independent. The South Ossetians have always wanted to join North Ossetia and be part of Russia, but Russia doesn’t want them. Russia would be ok with their going independent. Both have declared themselves independent countries. This is also a “screw Russia” hashtag.

The LPR & DPR ain’t even real

All Ukrainians say this. They say there’s no such thing as the LPR and the DPR. However, they have both declared their independence and a few states have recognized their independence. They want either independence or to be annexed to Russia, except Russia doesn’t want them. Russia doesn’t want one more inch of land. After how the Ukrainians have behaved towards them for eight years, easily 9

Fuck the internet research agency especially

This is the company that supposedly interfered in our elections in 2016, except they never did. Explain to me how running ads for everything from Far Left to Far Right and everything in between is “interfering in our elections.” They ran as many leftwing ads as rightwing ads. “They’re trying to divide us” the Demotards say.

LOL bring it on. What’s wrong with a divided country? We’re not divided enough. Too many people support US foreign policy, way too many tards are woketards, and way to many people vote Republican. More division, please! Bring it on! And anyway, how does “dividing the country” elect Trump? Why doesn’t it just as easily elect Clinton? The whole “election interference” thing makes no sense. Steele is a glownigger* and a professional liar, like all glowies*.

allah akbar

Marriage of convenience. A lot of radical Islamists are now anti-Russian. Many of the hardline Islamist Chechens who fled Putin’s second war fled to Ukraine where they were welcomed with open arms by their fellow Russia-haters. In addition, many Al Qaeda types in Syria are now anti-Russian because Russia has been killing them for years. A Chechen Ukrainian reporter recently went on the nation’s largest TV station and made a commentary where he said that we need to not just kill all the Russians but kill all the Russian children. It’s the “nits become lice” theory. A lot of genocidaires use this theory to justify crimes against children.

*Glownigger, glowie: An Alt Right term. Not a racist term as it has absolutely nothing whatsoever to do with Black people in any way. This is just another example of how the meaning of nigger is branching out into all sorts of weird meanings that have nothing to do with Blacks. Whites call each other niggers all the time as a joke. It means something like “bro” but with a macho tilt. How on Earth is that anti-Black.

Basically a fed, especially one sent to infiltrate groups, especially Far Right groups. Now has an expanded meaning of any spy for the West, as for the CIA, MI6, etc. They’re all glowies now. A lot of US propagandist reporters, especially from AP, are now considered glowies. There are two AP reporters that were right on the scenes with every White Helmets poison gas hoax in Syria.

They have now moved over to Ukraine where they are covering Nazi “White Helmets” style hoaxes in Ukraine, especially the fake maternity hospital and theater bombings, both of which were done as false flags to blame Russia by the Nazis.

Operation Mockingbird revealed that almost all of the top US news reporters were actually working for the CIA. The CIA infiltrated every paper in the country. The CIA promised to shut it down, but my info is that they have continued Operation Mockingbird, but it’s off the books as a “black ops” budget item. The US spends $30 billion/year on CIA/DIA black budget operations that are completely without oversight.

Other races that imitate ghetto Blacks are called niggers – wiggers, chiggers, miggers, spiggers, etc. This includes rappers, etc. It’s often an insult but I suppose a lot of people into this lifestyle think it’s a compliment. It doesn’t have much to do with Black people. When used in the sense of dark-skinned non-Blacks it’s a bit more insulting – sand niggers for Arabs, snow niggers for Russians, prairie niggers for Canadian Indians, seaniggers for Polynesians, curryniggers for Indians.

Alt Left: Who Supports Who in the Russo-Ukraine War

Contrary to what the media tells you, the whole world is not turning on Russia over this war. It’s only the Anglosphere, Japan, Taiwan, South Korea and most of Europe. That’s it!

Pro-Russia

Arab World: Unknown but there seems to be a lot of support for Russia because Arabs will take the opposite of whatever side the US is on because they hate the US.

Syria: Strong support for Russia because Russia helped them in the Civil War.

Iran: Similar situation. Most seem to support Russia because they support the opposite of the US because they hate the US and because Russia is an ally.

Pakistan: My limited understanding is that a lot of people support Russia because they hate the US so much.

Africa: Unknown. No country has sanctioned Russia. The Central African Republic is strongly supporting Russia because Russia helped them.

Latin America: Unknown. No government has sanctioned Russia. The media are all fulminating against Russia but the opinion of the average person is not known.

South Ossetia: This new country supports Russia because Russia helped them, and in fact they are sending a contingent of troops there.

China: The Chinese people support Russia completely. In part this is a legacy of the Cold War when both countries were allies. Plus China is starting to realize that once the West gets done taking down Russia, China is next on the chopping block.

Armenia: People support Russia. Armenia is sending a contingent of troops.

Serbia: Most Serbs support Russia due to ancient roots and Serbs’ hatred of the US and NATO. The Serbian government is anti-Russia, so the people and the state are at odds here. There have been large pro-Russian rallies.

Bulgaria: Most Bulgarians are supporting Russia due to common Slavic Orthodox heritage. There have been large pro-Russian rallies.

Brazil: All of the media is fulminating against Russia but comments on news articles are now running majority pro-Russia. The media and the people are at odds.

Belarus: Most are pro-Russia.

Trending Pro-Russia

Spain: The government and media are anti-Russia but comments on news sites are now running ~4

Unknown

India: Unknown, ally of Russia.

European countries not mentioned: Unknown, media and governments are mostly Russophobic.

Anti-Russia, Pro-Ukraine

Romania: Many years of anti-Russian propaganda have created a Russophobic population. Most are ignorant of the situation though. Extremely Russophobic media.

Sweden: Similar situation as Romania. Many years of Russophobic hate propaganda have created a country of Russia-haters. However, most people don’t understand the issue well. Media is strongly Russophobic.

Germany: Most are supporting Ukraine and the population is Russophobic. However, ~1

Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia, Poland, Czechia, Slovakia, Georgia, US, and the UK: Strongly pro-Ukraine and Russophobic in media, state, and population. In Georgia the population is anti-Russia, but the government is more neutral. In Czechia and Slovakia, the governments are extremely anti-Russian, but the opinion of citizens is not known. Reports indicate that Russophobic hysteria is so extreme in the US that people are getting fired from their jobs for supporting Russia.

Alt Left: The Russian ‘Denazification’ PR Disaster: How, Why and What To Do

The Russian ‘Denazification’ PR Disaster: How, Why and What To Do

by Ramin Mazaheri for the Saker blog

Maybe it’s worked in Russia, but a military operation in Ukraine based on “denazification” has been a total public relations disaster everywhere else. Quite simply: Russia should have known that the use of the word “Nazi” totally shuts down any discussion in the West. Russia is waging a new type of military operation but they lazily or foolishly thought that “denazification” was a new enough concept to base its justification around for non-Russians — they have paid a price of total intellectual defeat so far in the battle for hearts and minds.

They could have known it was coming – I wrote about this issue just two weeks prior to the start of the Ukraine operation, in an article on France’s elections titled, France’s conservatives cry out for National Socialism – Zemmour’s response?:

“Ah, old Adolf – we can’t bring him up in the West, can we?

Many have heard of Godwin’s Law, or the rule of Nazi analogies: an Internet adage asserting that as an online discussion grows longer (regardless of topic or scope), the probability of a comparison involving Nazis or Adolf Hitler approaches. However, an important corollary is that whenever someone compares someone or something to Nazism – that person has lost the argument and/or the argument is summarily over.

Essentially, the world is to accept that all discussions of Western politics cannot discuss the anti-Western Liberalism ideology which was German Nazism.”

Yes, Russia should have accepted that in February. Practically nobody west of the Oder River understood what Moscow meant by “denazification”, and they still don’t after a month of Russian explanations.

Russia’s military operation has made much harder by failing to recognise the iron Western cultural reality of Godwin’s Law, and the reality that the West only associates Nazis with anti-Semitism and – not at all! – with Russophobia, despite the 20+ million Russian deaths at the hands of the Germanic Nazis.

This is how iron that law is: Political science PhD holders have responded to me with, “But… Ukraine’s president is Jewish – how can there be Nazis?” If you cannot even get Western political science PhD holders to see where you are coming from – even remotely – you have zero chance to get the average Westerner to understand you.

Thus it’s a total, ongoing public relations catastrophe.

It’s not an easy problem to fix

It’s such a huge problem I actually have to discuss it in detail in my new book on the Yellow Vests, in a chapter titled: “Where the West is stuck: The fascism of the 1930s and the ‘fascism’ of the 2020s”. The West is stuck in misunderstanding what fascism is, and in 2022 Russia has not solved this problem; they have maybe even made it worse?!

It’s not an easy problem to fix, but in April 2014 I must say that I was farther along than Russia is in 2022 – well, at least I tried to propose some solution in a column for PressTV titled, “Ukraine: The Rise of the ‘Nalis’”.

I can’t find a link for it anywhere – I’d complain about how Iran’s PressTV has been so deplatformed but – thanks in part to the awful Russian public relations campaign – Russia has now become even more deplatformed than us, wow! If someone finds a link, great, but these highlights show the idea still holds up: the combination of rabid Nationalism and far-right Liberalism (in economics, politics and in anti-socialism) is still the problem in Ukraine. The column began:

“The combination of ultra-nationalists and ultra-liberals who have overthrown the Ukrainian government is indicative of a new type of political party in the region: National Liberals, or ‘Nalis’. They are to be differentiated from ‘Nazis’ – National Socialists – only by the economic ideology of liberalism (otherwise known as free-market capitalism).

But it is a mistake to call the protesters in Ukraine “Nazis”. Yes, at Maidan Square there was plenty of footage taken of neo-Nazis, fascists, violent anarchists and other types who showed up to a political protest in camouflage and armed with a firearm. But they are actually “Nalis” – National Liberals.

That’s why not all of Ukraine’s protesters should be called Nalis: There are true progressives who were calling for legal, constitutional changes to the corrupt Yanukovych government. Unfortunately, they have been outgunned by the Nalis, who have deposed a president unconstitutionally, voted to ban the Russian language and whose violent tactics have created the real possibility of civil war.

Many of these people are true Nalis: economic nationalists who do not even want to join the EU.

But the moneyed set of the Nalis certainly do. They want to work with the US and the EU to institute IMF-led austerity reforms. They want to reduce pensions, reduce government subsidies on things like heat, reduce wages and increase corporate protections to foster a capitalist society. All you need to do is look at their proposals and it’s clear: they want free market liberalism…but of course for the benefit of themselves and the other moneyed Nalis.

Two things are certain: Western politicians will back the Nalis to the hilt. Of course, always putting the best interest of the EU or US or Germany (or many others) well-before the interests of the Ukrainian people.

And two: The Western media, passionately pro-Nali and just as passionately anti-Russian and anti-Putin, will also be unquestioningly backing the Nalis until the bitter end.”

Did “Nali” catch on? No, but did Russia come up with anything better?

Are they even strenuously pushing the term “Ukrainian Civil War”, which is no longer just a “possibility” but today’s reality, in my estimation?

I understand how Russians would use “Nazism” synonymously with “Russophobia”, just I understand how Jews would use “Nazism” interchangeably with “anti-Semitism”, but clearly most Westerners do not understand the former and only the latter. Given that the “Nalis” have been around since 2014, and given that the US has used shameless Russophobia to distract from the political failures of the two mainstream parties in their 2016 election, I’m surprised that Russia couldn’t come up with a better way to express “pathological and murderous hatred towards Russia”?

“Anti-Russianism”, “Russophobic paramilitaries”, “Nalis” – somebody better come up with something better than “denazification” because it takes more than hating Russians or Jews to make a Nazi, and because “denazification” has clearly not worked. If they don’t come up with something – anything – other than “denazification” they will never explain the situation in Ukraine correctly. Take Nali, or improve upon Nali, but come up with something to increase diplomatic understanding.

However, Russia needs to not only admit they got it wrong, but they need to get at the root of why they got it wrong, and this is actually much harder for Russia.

Russians need to ask why they get – as their failed PR campaign proves – “Nazi” as wrong as the West does

It’s not really that the times have changed and “Nazi” is outdated – it’s that “Nazi” was never accurate to begin with in Ukraine, as I wrote back in 2014.

Racism or xenophobia – the hating of Russia – isn’t enough to make one a Nazi, merely a racist. Germanic Nazism had political and economic components, and to ignore them is only ignorance and only causes more ignorance. The West only associates Nazis with anti-Semitism, and that’s foolish, but some Russians think associating Nazis with anti-Russianism is a complete picture, and that is just as foolish.

Incorrectly believing that it does is to totally ignore the economic factor, and the factor of political structure, and to merely make ethnic/identity politics the only factor – it is also to lay the foundation for total PR failure outside of Russia, and that cannot be denied.

The obvious difference is that Russia is on the right side of being against the “Nalis”, but… they don’t even know what that means, or what being anti-Nail implies for their society going forward – and the implications are revolutionary-big.

The Western and Russian elite leadership both misuse “Nazi” because it serves them – cui bono applies here too.

Both Russian and Western elites do not want to seriously talk about the economic/political aspects of socialism – of any variety – whatsoever. This is because post-1991 both regions’ elites began to wrongly take for granted that Socialist Democracy is a failure (China has emphatically disproven this, thankfully) and thus Russia adopted many aspects of what I term “Western Liberal Democracy”.

I can list a half-dozen synonyms: liberalism, neoliberalism, ultra-liberalism, English parliamentarian oligarchy, Western democracy, Nali-ism, etc. It all comes down to the same thing: liberalism, which is the ideology that emerged after the downfall of absolute monarchy in 1789 and before the establishment of socialist democracy in 1917.

The West is fighting for Western Liberal Democracy, and thus they do not permit honest discussion and honest critiques of Western Liberal Democracy. This explains why there is no admission regarding the historical reality that Nazism and 1930s European fascism won power precisely because so many people realised that Western Liberal Democracy was nothing but awful oligarchy. Most of Russia does not understand this either – not since 1991 – and thus they are stuck between aping Western Liberal Democracy and rejecting Socialist Democracy.

Putin definitely doesn’t want to talk about socialism honestly – or even acknowledge its achievements in Russia – because socialists are not just an ideological rival but an actual political one, unlike in the West: The Communist Party is the main opposition party in Russian parliament. Clearly, Western Liberal Democracy still has plenty of detractors in Russia.

But Putin is thus at an absurd and contradictory place in his political outlook: He wants to oppose Western Liberal Democracy’s surprising counter-attack on Russia with… more Western Liberal Democracy in Russia? It’s illogical, and thus it can’t work, and here’s why:

Putin is essentially saying that he wants Russia to take the Iranian road of taking total sanctions war head-on, but… without the influence of 1917? It won’t work. In 1979 Iranian political leaders were aware of Marxism, Leninism and Maoism, and they were also aware that Western Liberal Democracy was an awful economic and political model, and as a result they nationalised the economy to a degree only surpassed by North Korea and (maybe, I contest) Cuba – that’s the only way to beat sanctions!

What Russia is proposing in response to the Western counter-attack is truly radical for them in the sense that it is a total overturning of the economic and political choices of Western Liberal Democracy, and thus of many Russian choices post-1991. I don’t think Russia realizes how radical what they are proposing to do in response to sanctions really is, and how much it requires a complete rethink in political terms and interpretations of history – is Putin willing to embrace the USSR’s political and economic past?

What’s certain is that if Russia wants true sovereignty and independence as a response to the Western sanctions war – if they want to follow the Iranian road, as I first posited here, in an article which deserves way more attention, given that Russia now has 5

Yes, the EU isn’t sanctioning Russian fossil fuels, but France just announced they want no more Russian gas by 2027. The EU sanctions and what they portend are serious.

The Iranian road led to sovereignty – and maybe even an actually-signed JCPOA which would be more proof its correct choices – because Iran rests on totally different (i.e. revolutionary) economic power and political power structures than those of Western Liberal Democracy. Russia cannot defeat a sanctions campaign with Western Liberal Democratic structures – it’s a system geared to protect oligarchs, of course.

Does Russia have oligarchs? Of course, to Western Liberal Democrats west of Russia “oligarchs” only exist in Russia, never in the West – absurdly and falsely. Listening to Westerners, “oligarchs” must only be a region in Siberia, perhaps? But oligarchs are not going to help counter sanctions; they are not going to accept mass nationalisations; they are not going to accept price controls, profit limitations, central planning, etc. and etc. and etc.

If Russia continues to face off with the West a la Iran they can either have a revolution in thinking or they can fail. Western Liberal Democracy will not save them, as Russians were told in 1991.

Perhaps Putin is just bluffing about his totally anti-capitalist response to the Western sanction war? Or perhaps it’s truly a new world, with China-Russia-Iran leading the way?

But the fact that no one in the West can easily grasp Russia’s intellectual campaign for the war indicates a major problem. Russia needs to think and talk honestly about political terms, and I recommend starting with “denazification”. This will, I think, necessarily take them into bigger issues, such as how a “bring on your sanctions” stance necessarily reacquires very revolutionary (or perhaps return-to-revolutionary, for Russia) changes.

Should Russia fail to realise this, it may reveal that they are as intellectually stuck as the West: If the conflict in Ukraine is only about Russia-hating, then they have succumbed to the same identity politics worldview of the West – they have made “race” the end-all be-all of their political-economic discourse. It will be proof that they have ignored the class warfare lens, the imperialist lens and 1979’s “maybe we do need some spiritual morality in our socioeconomic policies?” lens. These are all lenses which came around between 1917-1991, which current Russian leadership has rather disavowed.

These are strong, serious ideas, but they are motivated by the catastrophic failure of the “denazification” idea outside of Russia, which seems like thus far the biggest failure in Russian planning for their military operation.

You would think of idiot humans realized this, they would not support war so much, but this is the dirty little secret that the masters of the world never let you in on: wars are not usually about any threat to the nation. They’re often simply about economics.

Capitalism Says It’s OK To Kill People for Money

Capitalism is a system where people literally kill people for money. Furthermore, capitalism says that killing people for money is an absolute necessity. Capitalist fanboys keep saying there can be a capitalism that is not about killing people for money, but it never shows up. The profit motive uber alles and the neoliberal state are all about killing people for money. If a corporation has to kill people to make money, it does it. If the state tries to stop a corporation from killing people for money, the corporation fights with all of its might.

You guys wonder why I’m a socialist. Well, for one thing, I don’t agree with killing people for money. That is, I don’t agree that money is more important than people’s health and lives. So that sets me against the entire capitalist system right there.

You Never Have Freedom of the Press Under Capitalism

Furthermore, under capitalism, a large section of the population is brainwashed into corporate  thinking and either believes the constant lies of the corporations or thinks that killing people for money is a-ok. And the media under capitalism is always controlled by the largest corporations who are always pretty reactionary so you never really have freedom of press under capitalism.

In capitalism, freedom of the press belongs to anyone who owns a printing press. Which is just about no one. The necessity of advertising means that any media outlet that goes against the corporate state will die on the vine. Generally left media outlets have to be propped up somehow either by the state or by wealthy interests. Marshall Field was a progressive multimillionaire in Chicago who used his money to finance relatively liberal newspapers.

With the advent of the Internet, everyone now owns his own printing press, including yours truly! This means that for the first time in forever, the rich and the corporations have lost their monopoly over the media. The reaction has been extreme. Although the state itself doesn’t censure much, it has simply outsourced the censorship to the private sector to get around the 1st Amendment restrictions on censorship.

For some odd reasons, all of the large Internet and social media corporations have decided to become mouthpieces for the CIA, the State Department and the National Security State. How does this work? Does the state blackmail these guys? Does it point a gun to its head? Or do the interests of US corporations always naturally line up perfectly with the interests of the CIA, the State Department and the National Security State?

As those the purpose of those three is to advance the power and violence of the state in the interests of corporations, it would seem that the alliance of corporations and state is not accidental. Corporations rely on the corporate state to retain their money, power, and stuff. The state works for the corporations by providing the power of economic and military violence to advance corporate interests. And a completely controlled media acts as stenographer for the corporate state and the corporations themselves.

Those Hundreds of US Military Bases All Over the World Are Meant to Prop up the Dollar

I don’t think all this wild thrashing about of the declining US empire going to work. I think the West is writing its death warrant. The whole base of US hegemony is the US dollar as fiat currency for the whole world. All of those US military bases are meant to prop up US hegemony and the dollar as fiat currency. And the dollar’s mastery is enforced by all of those military bases.

In recent years, every single country that went off the dollar got attacked by the US either with sanctions, coups or coup attempts, assassinations, contras, economic wars, or even military attacks. Those bases are a gun pointed at the head of every country telling them that if they go off the dollar, they will get attacked.

The power of the US military is what props up the dollar, not the other way around. If you want to know the reason for those insanely expensive defense budgets we pass every year, this is it right there.

The 800 billion defense budget, which every Democrat votes for, even the most progressive like Sanders and AOC, is what props up the dollar and allows US hegemony over the world.

The US rules the world right now and has since the fall of the USSR. Of course we let it go to our head in terms of hubris in the manner of a Greek tragedy. Pride goeth before the fall. Total power leads to extreme arrogance and the thought that one can get away with anything. It also leads to extremely desperate measures if one’s position on top is threatened by anyone. The US will fight tooth and nail to prevent a multipolar world. It’s our worst enemy.

Francis Miville, “The Roots of Ukrainian Fascism/Nazism Go Back 200 Years to Catherine the Great

Each time they tout to the world that a maternity clinic has been bombed by any foe, be sure it’s a fake or a false flag. It is actually more used a signature word to the wise anointed than as propaganda to the plebs to be manipulated through emotions only. It is a kind of, “You who are on the good side of money, be reassured we are in charge, and no matter we lose or win, we run the show.” Anyway their purpose is to close as many maternity clinics throughout the world, and the best way to do it is through false-flag terror attacks.

This reminds me too much of any episode of the War Without End in the Middle East.

You speak of Ukraine having been lost by Russia? All countries targeted by the Neocon (most neocons are not Jews, though it is a clientele served and moderated — not really controlled — by many Jewish writers) Wars Without End, starting with Afghanistan and comprising also Iraq and Libya are now lost for America and for the West more generally forever.

Ukraine is essentially Nazi and was long before the German themselves first heard about Nazism. They have not grown Nazi out of spite from any ill-treatment by Soviet Union. If anything, the Soviet Union gave them an importance they should have been granted, mostly for gerrymandering reasons. Ukraine is to the rest of Russia what Dixieland is to the rest of America.

Will it or not, there is no such thing as a Dixieland culture apart from nostalgia for slavery and the desire to bring the bulk of humanity back into slavery or serfdom. It is home to the dark side of the American Dream. They lost the war but as often happens they won back the peace thereafter.

Ukraine or better said Little Russia is the same thing to the Russian space. The Union made a big mistake. The Dixieland had to be blotted out as a distinct entity from America after the War of Secession by any means, and they deserved no respect. They succeeded in blotting out Nazism relatively cleanly from Germany. The same thing could have been done in the South. But America failed at that task, with the results that the only kind of Democrats that are now heard of are Southern Democrats.

The net result is that wherever the US intervenes in foreign policy it is always on the side of the local “Southerners”: FDR had offered La Follette’s Progressives the following deal: we offer you in exchange for your merging with us what you have been dreaming of as for domestic policy if only you let us continuing our foreign policy as usual without you being bothered by any negative side-effect of it. You also let us doing our business as usual in the South which you shouldn’t be fearful of, since nobody of you wants to settle there.

Since at that time the American media’s strategy was to talk of domestic issues only as if foreign policy was a topic way too complicated and advanced for the bulk of the readership, that historical compromise worked.

My opinion is that La Follette was duped, though one cannot reproach him to have first considered the short-term effects of the Depression to be alleviated by any means. Had his Third Party refused to merge with the Democrats, America would have been part of the theater of WWII with Huey Long in the South and La Follette in the North resulting in a crushing victory of the North after a classical case of Marxian class war.

Ukraine posed the same problem. It is Russia’s own Dixieland. There was no Holodomor. There was first and foremost a class war that went on. This was the region of the early USSR where the Civil War of the 1918-21 had never stopped, where the Whites and the the haves had never given up the fight against the have-nots and the Reds. 7

The whole region along the Black Sea Coast had been developed since Catherine the Great by Great-Russian Navies and settlers brought in forcibly to open up to intensive agriculture a territory that had been up to then bushy, marshy and extremely malarial. These laborers were especially despised by the Ukrainians proper.

As serfdom was still the law of the land, they could be literally bought after their period of use by Ukrainian landowners, who purchased them to build among other places the streets and walls of Odessa. You see the picture? Everybody was convinced among the Ukrainian gentry that Great Russians were genetically subhuman and fit for brute labor only.

The USSR is accused of having been the early training ground for the first Nazi stormtroopers during the 1920’s. That happened in Ukraine only. Ukraine was the country where the Nazi doctrine together with its heavy-duty racism justifying class differences was first set up before being pressure-sold to Germans.

Everything now sold about Ukraine is LIES, including the threat of a worldwide famine due to the confiscation of grain by Russia. There maybe an organized food scarcity, but it has nothing to do with Ukraine. Ukraine is a backwater power in nearly every domain.

Among other things, Ukraine uses big agribusiness technology of long past ages, say Argentina in the 1930’s, of the kind that exhaust the topsoil rather than enriching it as more recent Asian middle-size farm-adapted technologies do. Ukraine is an “undeveloping” country like Argentina, and it is Europe’s experimental land for generalized GMO’s.

Russia prohibits GMO’s and wants its prohibitions to apply there. GMO’s even in brute productivity are disappointing at best. The slight gains are counterbalanced by much heavier dependence on fossil fuels and fertilizers.

False Flag Coming? The Last Time the Ukies Were in This Sort of Trouble, They Shot Down an Airliner, and Now They Are in Much Worse Trouble Than Then

Some Background on the M17 Ukrainian False Flag Shoot-down of a Malaysian Passenger Jet to Blame Russia and the Separatists

It was shot down by a Ukrainian jet, the one that returned to his base in Kolomoisky’s territory minus one missile. He fired the missile at the plane. It hit the plane on the right hand side near the wing. Then he unloaded a 30 mm machine gun at the cockpit. The cockpit was riddled with holes from a 30mm gun. It looked like a bloodbath in there. That’s all it took to take down the plane.

Dozens of witnesses on the ground saw the jet rising towards the plane and then the plane started falling from the sky. No one saw a Buk trail, and the US CIA says that there was no BUK missile in separatist hands at the time. Half of the CIA says the plane was downed by a Ukie jet.

There was a Spanish air traffic control reported who was tweeting in real time about the incident. He said that Interior Ministry people came into the tower and started asking, “Did we just shoot down a jet? Why did we shoot down that jet?” It was obvious to them that Ukraine had downed the jet. The Interior Department people then confiscated all of the air traffic control tapes and all of the foreign traffic controllers were laid off. I watched this Spanish ATC guy tweeting these tweets in real time. It was shocking to say the least. He’s a real person as he was tracked down by a reporter later in Spain.

The affair seems to have been done by a faction of the Ukie military close to (((Kolomoisky))) who almost runs his own army over there in Dnipro. And yes, the purpose was to kill Putin’s jet but they missed and shot down M17 instead.

The European team took its sweet time to go out there. It finally showed up two weeks later. They claimed that rebels were keeping them away from the site but the rebels said that they EU people were free to come to the site. When the first reporters got there, they reported that drunken rebels were everywhere. This was to add to the fake “drunken rebels downed the jet” story. However, the rebels are not allowed to drink alcohol and they said no one was drunk. This appears to be a fake story.

There were a lot of reports that the rebels were messing around with or disrespecting the dead bodies. But since no inspectors came out for two weeks, the rebels had those bodies on their hands and they had to deal with them. They brought in a refrigerated truck to store the bodies in.

An interview with two rebels talking about taking down the jet soon appeared. It was quickly denounced as an SBU fake by Ukrainian intelligence. The two rebel leaders named in the tape do not even exist.

However, hackers broke into the site of (((Kolomoisky)))’s Dniper Battalion and on their private Facebook page they were congratulating each other over the attack. The high spirited discussions were posted online. Another hack found a letter written by US DIA agent operating out of the Embassy in Kiev asking the Ukrainians when the jet shootdown false flag was going to happen. So this shows foreknowledge.

A British BBC news team went there and recorded interviews with locals saying that a Ukrainian jet was seen right behind the jet at the time and that the plane went down soon after. This interview went on for about 10 minutes. It stayed up on Youtube for about one week until it disappeared, never to be seen again. Queries to BBC were met responses that there was no such video.

An early Malaysian investigation involving 133 people found that a Ukrainian jet had downed the plane. It was published on the first page of a Singapore magazine. The issue soon disappeared from the stands and the Net. Soon afterwards, the entire investigation team was fired and a new fake team was put in instead. And the government changed its tune on who did it. We do not know why the government changed its mind on this issue.

An Australian government team then investigated the attack. If the plane were blown up by a Buk, the Buk would have hit above the plane and wound have showered the plane below with shrapnel. Everyone in the plane would be full of shrapnel. The Aussies examined eight bodies and found no shrapnel, and therefore concluded that no Buk had been fired. The team was quickly fired by the government and their report disappeared.

Malaysia was coerced into giving up the black box which they recovered to the Dutch. The Dutch has since kept the box and will not let anyone look at it. The Dutch then wrote a huge fake report about the attack, saying it was downed by “flying projectiles” which could be missiles and 30mm bullets. This report was then shelved and a new team was put in in their stead.

Supposedly an investigator went out the site months after the crash and searched around and found a tiny bit of scrap metal. He brought this back to the investigation and they immediately announced that it was a piece of a Buk missile. How they proved this is not known. Why there was only a single piece of Buk at the site when there should have been thousands is not known. A new report was written blaming Russia and the separatists for the downing of the jet. The entire report was based on this one piece of metal and how they could determine that this metal was a piece of a Buk missile is just beyond me.

No one outside of NATO countries has been able to look inside the black box ever since. NATO has not told us what is in the black box; no one has any idea what is in there.

The Ukies set up a false flag involving a Buk missile near the place where the plane was downed. A CIA photo shows people in Ukrainian army uniforms with beer bottles scattered all around the launch site. The idea was to set up the fake idea of drunken separatist rebels shooting down a jet out of incompetence.

In addition, the day before the attack, a Ukrainian force drove a Buk missile across enemy lines. A truck with a Buk missile on it showed up at a gas station near the site of the shootdown looking to fill up its tank. The men wore army uniforms and said they were Russian soldiers. They wore Russian uniforms. But they spoke oddly, speaking Russian with Ukrainian accents and they used phrasing that most Russian native speakers would not use.

In my opinion, this Buk was driven here and parked to where locals could see it order to set the stage for the false flag – “See, the Russians had a Buk in the separatist area after all!”

The rebels said we never had a Buk because the Russians would never give us one. Immediately after the jet went down, stories went out from the US accusing the rebels of doing it with a Buk missile. Before there had been the slightest investigation into the matter! Obviously they were working from a preconceived script. The US claimed it had all sorts of evidence pinning the attack on the separatists. But they never revealed any of the evidence.

And the story kept changing almost every day. When the story keeps changing, you are almost always dealing with some sort of false flag or fake attack. The US never presented any of this intelligence evidence that it said that it had, claiming it was classified. This is where I first saw Atlantic Council (NATO) – CIA – Deep State agent Elliot Higgins doing his fake “citizen journalist” work. He has appeared many times since, every time to defend some false flag, lie, or fake attack. I hope they pay this spy well.

Face It – Russia Has Lost the Ukrainians in a Psychological Sense

Almost everything Ukie you are seeing in this war is fake! That’s the bottom line here. This is the most hysterical and over the top propaganda campaign I’ve ever witnessed in my life, and I lived through the entire Vietnam War. But it was never anything like this, no way. And there wasn’t this neverending fakery, lies, and false flagging going on back then too.

The West is lying so much that we are getting to the point where recent history itself as documented by Wikipedia and the US media anyway is going to end up being largely fake. Isn’t that what we used to say about the USSR? You’d open a history book and it would be a pack of lies? I remember a photograph of two men with Stalin who were later purged and later the photograph had them airbrushed out.

Critics say no one wants to move to Russia. I’d say that if Russia had a warmer climate, a lot of people would be moving there. Many people from the former SSR republics – Belorussia, Ukraine, Armenia, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Kirghistan, and Turkmenistan move to Russia to make more money every single year. The number of immigrants is huge, and an anti-immigrant movement has started in Russia. Also, many people move from the non-Russian republics to the Russian SSR every year, especially from the Caucasus.

Critics say Russia is poor. Russia has a high income. I believe PCI is ~$17,000. That’s just fine.

I grew up around Israeli and Jewish former Soviet expats mostly Russians, Ukrainians and Uzbeks.

Former Soviet Jewish expats are all super-Russia haters for dumb reasons.

IMO, NATO should declare war on Ukraine and invade western Ukraine.

That will cause a war with Russia for sure. You don’t want even a non-nuclear war with Russia.

But if Putin goes further and attacks Finland, he needs to be killed. It’s as simple as that.

I’m not sure that’s on the table or not. But it’s been known forever that NATO membership for Georgia and Ukraine was a huge red line for Russia, and if it happened, Russia would probably invade. So we deliberately pushed for it anyway, just to cause a war!

You realize that NATO is overjoyed about this war and that it deliberately baited and pushed Russia into this war, right? Why? So they could shut them out of Europe. Which they just did! It’s a US project. The US project in Europe has always been:

Keep the US in, keep Russia out, and keep Germany down.

So now we’ve thrown Russia out of Europe. Guess where the Europeans will have to buy their stuff now? The US! This is just another sleazy, dirty war all about economics, just like most capitalist wars. You guys wonder why I’m a socialist. Capitalism causes war. Case in point: Ukraine.

If Ukraine surrenders it won’t matter. The Russians will still have their referendum in the East and they will still put in an acceptable government in the center. They may put in a referendum in the South too. Russia doesn’t want to occupy Ukraine. That will be for the antifascist Ukrainians.

In that case, the “real Ukraine” will just move to Western Ukraine, and then it will be a real Nazi country! After that, NATO will start this mess all over again, and sooner or later, Russia will have to attack Western Ukraine.

It’s going to be hard to put a puppet government in the West. They hate Russians way too much there.

The majority even hate Russians in the center, so I’m wondering how this works. I’d bet that no more than

Eight years ago, half the country was pro-Russian and half was pro-Ukie. It’s not like that anymore. The majority of Ukraine are not anti-fascists at the moment. Instead, they are pro-fascist.

At one time, a lot of Ukies saw themselves as Malorussians – Little Russians or really Central Russians – sharing linguistic, religious, and historical ties with Mother Russia. This way of thinking was common with the generations born up until 1920. This seems to be gone. In a way, Russia has lost Ukraine. The majority are either fascists, pro-fascists, or neutral. They’ve turned into Russia-haters. Eight years of relentless propaganda will do that.

There are still a lot of pro-Russians in the South and the East. 400 Ukrainian reservists in Kharkiv have formed the Ukrainian Liberation Army and now fight alongside Russian troops to liberate their land from fascism. At least 40 Ukrainian soldiers went over to the DPR Army in the east. In Kharkiv, Russian troops try to buy food in the stores, and the shopkeepers tell them to take it for free, as they are so happy to be liberated by the Russians. They were not happy living under those Nazis all those years.

As far as killing Putin goers, there have already been 20 assassination attempts of plots against Putin. They all failed. We won’t be able to kill him, and if we do, we are definitely at war with Russia.

Francis Miville: The Third World War Will Not Be Fought (a Stage Production)

I 10

First of all, such a false flag would be rapidly debunked, with many Asian media posing as impartial. Second, there would be a civil war in the US between Liberals and Trumpists in the US with foreign intervention on each side. Third, whenever Russia or China is in any real danger of receiving rockets, the Russians have already opted for a quite different strategy.

Russian nuclear charges have already been installed where they have to explode in very deep tunnels, mostly in the US coastal cities plus two or three placed so as to rend open super-volcanoes already due to erupt soon. Before dealing such a blow they would have kept the US army busy with repression in the course of the civil war.

There is no horror the American elites will recoil from, and judging by their behavior in Ukraine, they are perfectly capable to dress up fake Russian intervention troops to attack and destroy their own cities. But most probably America will commit suicide with drugs and lies, and China is watching over the process until there is no longer any authority. Then they and other allies can proceed to a boots on the ground invasion plus partition of such a degenerate people.

A big mistake commonly committed by Americans is comparing their decadence with that of Rome. Their idea is that for them having the privilege of four centuries more of decadence enjoying the growing suffering of the plebs still caught under their sway is inebriating. If a comparison is to be made with antiquity, America is Carthage, not Rome, by far more similitudes than you would have first thought of. Rome, while cruising along its decadent course like a carousing pontoon in a slow, tranquil river, left behind a worthwhile civilization nevertheless.

Carthage had nothing interesting to be salvaged except a few technical works about big domain agricultural technology, glass manufacturing, and boat-building. They didn’t leave one statue of worth bearing their signature, no building except purely utilitarian ones, though tons of mass-produced stirred glass figurines of no interest are regularly unearthed in the cities they built for their commercial empire.

Now Americans are at the point where they are about to abandon technology for more new-age magic except when dealing militarily with external foes or domestic terrorists, and where all believers in facts or experimental sciences will be denounced as carriers of negative vibrations.

The problem for them is that a few powers like China and Iran won’t follow them along that route, and won’t wait until their adversaries have turned their peoples into entities that no longer want to believe in facts but in myths and are as easily conquerable as India was when the East India company moved in.

Nazi Safaris in Ukraine: Separatist Militiaman in the Donbass Fighting Ukrainian Forces Speaks Out – “Some Are Willing to Pay to Hunt Insurgents”

Repost, but it seems to be quite topical. This is why Putin went in. Originally he just wanted to free the Donbass, but then he realized that after he did that, NATO would just build up the Ukies even stronger on the border of the new states and the menace would go on. So he realized that he would have to go all the way to Kiev to kill the head of the snake.

Great piece from Global Research.

As a basic principle we refrain from showing videos in which prisoners of war are questioned. However with this article we make an exception, because the video confirms what the interviewed insurgent states as well in the following text: that the Ukrainian army commits war crimes and buries their own dead in mass graves. So it is worthwhile to read both the text and to watch the video – two completely independent sources.

An interview with an insurgent from the Eastern Ukraine. He lives and fights in an area where the Ukrainian army was shattered three weeks ago, close to the Russian border in the Donetsk region. He stayed quiet about his name to me, but he was a wealthy businessman before the war. The interview was recorded mid-August and translated into German directly and from German. Some accuracy might have been lost when the German was translated to English.

Recorded by: Ilja Degtjarov

Why have you become an insurgent?

Because I do not agree with this Government and the things that are happening. I do not agree with this attitude towards the people. I could not bear anymore to watch the people being tormented. Therefore, I have become an insurgent even though I’m already 53 years old. I do not agree that they came into my region. I will protect my trees, stones, houses, children, women, and everything else.

Where do you draw your optimism? You fight against the Ukrainian army and thousands of foreign mercenaries. The whole West backs the Ukraine. Why do you remain optimistic that you gain the upper hand?

We have a heroic people who have never knelt down. The victory will be ours, and if we still die, then it’s better standing than on our knees. We have our vision, we have something that we want to fight for. Our grandchildren will grow up here. And if we die ourselves, our grandchildren will live as one must live, that is in a free country.

In much of the Western mass media it is reported that in reality the insurgents are composed of Russian special units or parts of the regular Russian army. What do you think?

We are not fighting for Russia, we are fighting for our people. Russia is a free country, a country where one can freely live without submissive bows to the United States and the EU. We know how you can live in Russia, and we want to live like that as well. We do not want to bow before anyone, or worship anybody. We are a free people.

What do you think is wrong with the new Ukrainian Government? What caused this movement in the Donbass region?

These people have come to power through blood. Now they want to drown the whole Ukraine in the blood. Although they talk about the “free Ukraine” this country was never free, it always had to be subordinate to someone. Now the Ukraine is knuckling under to the United States of America, a country that suppresses all countries and is inciting wars everywhere. Actually, this country [USA] should be eliminated completely from the Atlas. Well, for the time being we will reach Poland, there we will wash our boots and then we will go on.

Back to the previous question: are the insurgents primarily local citizens or are they mostly Russian volunteers or even the nasty Russian army, dressed up with foreign uniforms, as some claim?

Insurgents are people who just yesterday were working with a hoe and a spade, who cared for their gardens. Then they laid down their tools and now they protect their gardens with machine guns. We are freedom-loving people. Even women, children, and seniors go fight with us.

How would you describe the ideology of the people who have come to power in Kiev? In the West they say, of course, that they are flawless Democrats who simply want to be different than Russians. Would you call them Democrats or perhaps something else?

I understand democracy in the way that one can express his will; and not that someone else speaks on your behalf. I still remember how you voted about the separation [of the USSR]: at that time also, nobody cared to listen to us. Even now they are pursuing a unilateral policy. They want to see only what happens on the other side [in the Western Ukraine].

They are unaware of the suffering of our mothers and fathers. This is not a democracy but fascism in its worst form. Not even fascists have killed children in this way, destroyed houses, poisoning the land with ecologically dangerous bombs. They bombard us with white phosphorous bombs and cluster munitions.

They bombard us with cluster bombs, so that millions of small metal particles fly in all directions and on whole streets, everyone is killed, including women and children. After such bombings nothing is left, not even animals, but only burnt earth. Is this democracy? Do they fight this way for democracy? No, that is fascism.

Who fights on the side of the Ukrainian army? What is meant by foreigners?

We had prisoners of war from Poland. There are very many foreign instructors, grenade launchers. Our [Ukrainian] soldiers do not want to fight, according to the prisoners of war, thus they are threatening them and their families with death. In the Ukrainian army they are even killing the wounded.

So people in the vicinity of Kramatorsk were massacred, their organs have been retrieved; then their bodies were buried with tractors and compacted on top with armored cars. So they are hiding the evidence of their crimes. This also applies to Krasnodon: they destroyed their own people.

The insurgents, the so-called “terrorists”, have left no one wounded in the lurch. They also help the civilians, the sick, all those in need.

So there are actually facts that they retrieved organs, apparently to sell them?

Yes. There is someone they can ask about this, can’t they? [ask to another insurgent]. We have people from Kramatorsk who observed that.

Have you seen it with your own eyes?

Yes, with my own eyes.

(Another insurgent in the background): We cannot reveal our sources.

You do not need to do. Such information before was at the level of “someone has heard that someone has heard.” Why, yes! That has been seen even by our reconnaissance. Even prisoners of war confirm this. Bodies were buried with excavators.

Apart from the Polish, who else is fighting [against you]? If we link up into their radio conversations, we hear foreign languages. But I don’t know which ones. And the Poles are found everywhere.

Why did they come? Are they mercenaries or regular units, sent here by force?

These are people, among others, who are even willing to pay to be allowed to hunt people. They pay that they may fire on living people with sniper rifles. If there are no insurgents, they shoot civilians. For example, there was a man driving to work with his bicycle, and they shot off his head just for fun.

Do you mean a specific case?

Yes, a week ago. The man was completely harmless. A sniper shot him for fun.

(Another insurgent in the background): We’ve seen it, it was a hundred meters away from us. He was just going to work.

I have read about such cases, but I have not heard directly of that.

That was in Krasnopartisansk.

Why do the new leaders consider themselves entitled to kill such vast amounts of people? There used to whining all over the world that allegedly some students on the Maidan were beaten. Now thousands are dying and nobody cares. Why? Why the double moral standards – what ideology is it?

[About] these double standards, I understand the following: Ukraine executes commands from the West; it has no will of its own. Ukraine is eliminating people who are in the way for the coal and gas production of the Americans. They do not need our people here and therefore destroy them area-wide. It is not a question of eliminating some of us, it is about annihilating us comprehensively, using Grad [rocket] launchers, mines, and surface-to-surface systems [ballistic missiles].

There are bombs which leave a crater three meters deep and eight meters wide. Within a radius of 300 meters nothing is left alive. Thus they destroy cities. Women and children are hiding in cellars, and they burn them there with flame-throwers and explosives. They do not “only” kill families, but inhabitants of entire apartment buildings. The killing of insurgents’ wives is particularly enjoyed. Is it even possible not to fight against those guys? We are simply obliged to neutralize this contagious infection that is spreading in our country.

If we consider the situation realistically: at the end of 2013, the Ukrainian army had about 4,000 armored cars according to official data. The insurgents have only a few of them, so you cannot compare the forces. This huge mass [the Ukrainian army] is overwhelming, and additionally there are these, for example, Polish armored cars. How can you beat this endless mass?

They fight for the money or out of fear that their families may be hurt if they fight badly or something similar. We fight for the lives of our children, for our country. That is a big difference. They fight without a vision and we have one. This will always win. We do not feed ourselves as well, but our spirit is stronger than theirs. No doubt we will win because we are fighting for our people, while they came to our region to take it away from us.

Were there cases that the Ukrainian army shelled buses or cars in which were clearly refugees?

Several times, even if it was written in large letters [on cars] that there were children. They shot at big crowds before customs houses. They fired at a seven-kilometer queue with grenade launchers and howitzers. People were running in all directions and left their stuff. As a slightly different example, next to the border an alarm system responded very loud at something; the children from the Donetsk region, from Kramatorsk, thought that they would soon be bombarded. Which psyche can such children have?

What else is the Ukrainian army doing that you definitely do not know in the West?

Even people from the Stone Age have not done anything like these people in the 21st century. They torture, kill people, break arms, cut off fingers, chop off heads, and see how long you can still walk without a head. Everything you can imagine as horrible at all, they already do. We speak the same language, we had the same ABC-books at the school, so it is incomprehensible to me through what influence they became the way they are.

Can you give specific examples? Without a name.

They shot at refugees, i.e. people who are already scared, with grenade launchers, with machine guns, as in a shooting gallery if people were clearly visible on a street. They did not shot to warn, but to kill.

By the side of the road cars are lying around, and they [Ukrainian army] do not allow the bodies to be picked up. Accordingly it smelled terrible due to decomposition of the bodies. Only after the liberation of the area could the corpses be removed. This is how they are fighting against children, against women; and yet, once they see armed men, they lay down their arms and surrender with a white flag.

Regarding Boeing [MH17]: In the West it was proclaimed immediately without ifs and buts that the insurgents shot down the aircraft. [They said] Putin had given both the money and the BUK [missile] system, so Putin is to blame personally. Anything you can say?

I know nothing about that, but it is clear that the insurgents would never shoot down an airliner. Insurgents are fighting for people’s lives, and it is unimaginable to save people with one hand and execute people with the other.

Were there cases where the Ukrainian army shelled towns and villages when there was no insurgency at all?

This is their action model: first they use mines and missiles and then they penetrate the cities. First they destroy and then they begin to “protect” the destroyed. They destroy absolutely everything. They destroy the people as one chops down a forest. They do not care whether it’s women or children, disabled people in wheelchairs, or whether there are insurgents in the city or not.

What use is it to shoot peaceful cities and civilians? What do they want to achieve with this?

We have city here called Molodogwardejsk. Although there are no rebels at all, this town has been destroyed from a safe distance with howitzers. For them it is simply to destroy cities and leave a desert. Why they do it, you have to ask them yourself.

In the meantime we can not even trust their white flag now. Under the white flag, they perform regrouping of their forces and then begin to shoot again. You can no longer trust them – neither the army nor the Government. They are the scum of humanity. When you look at their resumes, it becomes clear that they belong in a zoo. They will act this way until they sit in cages. It is only then that children won’t have to be afraid of them any more. That would be my only wish.

How can you explain that even in some areas of the Southeast [of Ukraine], the junta has currently de facto won, for example, in Dnepropetrovsk? Why have large parts of the population changed sides ideologically? Why isn’t there any significant resistance?

Our country is poor. At first poor people earned money from participating at the Maidan. You just went there [to Kiev] to earn money. There they brought people in in order to create large crowds, I would say herds of people. They were given drugs there, e.g. in tea. By the way, after their return home, we detected withdrawal symptoms in them.

In addition, these people received brainwashing at Maidan. Only the people from Donbass were not going there; they had to work in this industrial area to earn money for the whole country, feeding the country. Ever since then, they still cannot subdue us. We have endured it as long as we could. But at some point we could not any longer, which led to the uprising. It was always like this in Russia: they harness slowly, but they ride fast.

What will happen with these cities [outside of the Donbass] now? Certainly one can assume that the vast majority of them are also against the Kiev Government, but this majority is suppressed and stays silent. But in my opinion, they should also liberated, otherwise they will be taken sooner or later, so that they support the junta. Then they are lost forever.

We will liberate these towns as well. We will not punish anyone; everybody can have their own opinion. We will present our point of view, but will not impose our opinion. If someone wants to follow us, go ahead, but if not, then don’t. They can simply go to lead their lives, to work.

It is summer. It is still warm and the streets are well passable. But in winter it is cold, un-asphalted roads will become impassable dirt, so that you can hardly deliver humanitarian aid from Russia. In many cities there is now no electricity, no water, no heating. How will you survive?

We are a strong people. We are used to difficulties. We will overcome these obstructions as well, whether in rain or snow. We are serious about what we have started, and we will not stop now. We will fight to the end; there is no way back.

Is there evidence that Americans sit in the military administration and give orders?

I can say nothing about that. Everyone does his particular job here, and since I’m not a scout, I am not able to answer the question.

To what extent does the local population support the insurgents: Is it 9

You can judge for yourself: people harvest potatoes and give us some of it. People harvest three tomatoes in the garden and give us two of them.

If we look back to the times when there were no armed insurgents but the junta had already proceeded disproportionately, how did people fight against them back then?

They fought with sticks against machine guns. They quit their jobs, left their families, and came to us from everywhere. The regime’s crimes also affected those who were neutral. Everyone adopted a new mindset and protected their country. Many changed their bad habits, such as abstaining from alcohol. Among the insurgents, generally, iron discipline reigns, and it is strictly forbidden to drink alcohol. The insurgents are not paid. They fight for an idea. They eat what they are given from the civilians. All are highly motivated, but the sooner this mess comes to an end, the better.

What has changed in the towns and villages under control of the insurgents? For example, I read that they close casinos and pursue drug traffickers…

The Ukrainian police fought for 23 years against such phenomena as corruption and drugs but without success. We fixed it immediately. Drugs have become an absolute rarity. Something is changing in people’s minds, and even alcoholics and drug addicts are changing their habits. In our shops you can buy vodka easily, but nobody does. Addicts tell themselves – maybe as a joke – that they will take no more drugs until victory. Anyway, there are no more drugs.

Within the liberated towns, factories and coal mines are destroyed; there is no work. How can you live there?

We will rebuild it as we did after the Great Patriotic War. Our enthusiasm will be enough for that. Even if our generation lives in poverty, the next generation will live better. We are not afraid.

From the Russian side you receive humanitarian aid, which is generally known. But who delivers this assistance: the state, any parties, the church, private individuals?

You have access to these packages. Take pictures, the packages are labeled.

In the store for humanitarian aid I’ve seen many packages by the Communist Party, from churches…

Also from veterans of the Afghan war, Chernobyl veterans,  people who know what war is like.

Do Western organizations also provide humanitarian assistance in Southeast?

And how! They deliver mines and projectiles for the Ukrainian army. In this way they help the Ukraine, and this assistance helps them to destroy normal people.

So there is no real humanitarian aid [from the West]?

It does not exist; I’ve never seen any. The same applies for medical help.

Alt Left: Western Claims about Russia in the Russo-Ukrainian War

The Western media and states have made all sorts of claims about the Russian military in this latest war. Unfortunately, most US military analysts, including those out of the Pentagon, are simply propagandists. They’re not there to tell you the truth. They’re there to lay out war propaganda. I’ve also been told that US analysts, including those in Pentagon, did not understand Soviet military doctrine and do not understand Russian military doctrine. If all they want to do is propagandize and lie, then why would they need to know the truth about the military doctrine of the other side.

However, this is unfortunate because I think a lot of Western analysts, including those in the Pentagon, come to believe their own lies. This is not a good thing. You need to know the complete truth about your adversary in wartime. Propaganda is fine for the masses, but the actual analysts need to know the straight story.

Claims:

A 40 mile convoy of Russian military vehicles had run out of food and gasoline due to supply line problems, hence they were stuck outside of Kiev. First of all, it was only 3.5 miles long, not 40 miles long. Some people measured it. It was 40 miles outside of Kiev though. I assume this is where they got the false 40 mile long figure. The truth is apparently that the convoy was waiting for the Gostomel Airport to be fully cleared, and this took some time. Once the airport was cleared, the convoy moved in. Now Russia has a huge supply depot at the airport. I think Western analysts were just wrong on this one.

Russians are experience serious supply line problems of food and gasoline. We’ve never been able to verify this on the Russian side. Perhaps they are, perhaps they are not. On the other hand, it doesn’t seem to be true.

Russian troops are suffering from very poor morale. We’ve not been able to verify this on the Russian side either. The Chechens seem in high spirits as do the militias of Donetsk and Luhansk. Perhaps they are, perhaps they are not.

Russia is running out of reserve soldiers. Russia has only committed one-fifth of its reserves.

The US and Ukraine say that Russia has lost up to 10,000 men. This is false. I am not certain of Russian losses, but I would put them at 1,000 men lost so far.

The Russian people hate this war and are rising up against it. Fully 1

The war has bogged down and Russia is basically stuck and can’t go any further as Ukraine has fought them off. Russia is simply going very slow in this war. In part this is to avoid civilian losses but another reason is to minimize Russian losses. Russia and the separatist militias are advancing slowly, maybe 3-10 miles a day.

Russia has kidnapped several mayors on towns it is occupying. They are being taken away with bags over their heads to be tortured. We have no information about this one way or the other. It sounds dubious but you never know.

Three Russian generals have been killed so far. I believe the Russian side has said that one of those generals is still alive. No word on the other two generals. Perhaps they were killed, perhaps they were not.

Putin removed his Defense Minister, Gerasimov. That’s just not true. Furthermore, military doctrine is you don’t change horses in midstream.

The initial Russian plan was a failure so they had to go to Plan B. We don’t know if the actual Russian plan was to take Ukraine in a blitzkreig seige. Perhaps it was, perhaps it was not. But this argument suffers from a fallacy. First of all, in a mission of this sort, the Russian general staff will draw up perhaps 10-20 different plans dealing with every conceivable contingency. So even if the initial plan did not work out, they simply shifted to one of the other plans. Russian analysts keep saying that the venture is going as planned.

Russians are deliberately targeting civilians. This does not seem to be true at all. There is urban warfare in the cities, and civilians will be hurt and killed in such combat. Everything we have heard is that Russia is going to great lengths to avoid harming civilians. In fact this is said to be the reason that they are moving so slowly. This also means that they will take casualties rather than put civilian lives at risk.

The Russian sites are full of angry commenters demanding that Russia take the gloves off and quit  pussyfooting around trying to save civilians if it means Russian soldiers are harmed. They wouldn’t be saying that if it wasn’t true. The best analysis seems to be that Russia is indeed going slowly to try to minimize civilian casualties.

A Time Magazine reporter was deliberately targeted by Russians and killed. There are Western reporters everywhere in this war. Russia hasn’t been targeting any of them so far. Journalists get hit by stray fire all the time while covering wars. This seems to be the best analysis for the death of this war correspondent. It now turns out that this man and his colleague were shot at a Ukrainian Army checkpoint by Ukrainian soldiers.

Russia deliberately bombed a maternity hospital, apparently just to be evil. We’ve gone over this before and this looks like a Nazi battalion false flag attack against an empty hospital. The star of the video, a pregnant woman, is an actress, and the photographer is a professional photographer who has been engaging in Ukrainian propaganda for years. We have testimony from staff that the hospital was emptied and turned into a base on February 25. Russia also stated two days prior that the hospital had been turned into a base.

Russia won’t let civilians leave the cities and shoots at them if they try to leave. This just seems to be false. Russia says that the Ukrainians are the ones who won’t let people leave, especially the Nazi battalions. We have videotaped interviews with refugees saying that the Nazis would not let them leave and fired on them if they try to escape. The Ukrainians are the ones who benefit from having civilians as human shields. The Russians gain no benefit at all. Their only motivation would be to clear the civilians out of the city. This charge seems false. It is the Ukrainians who are blocking civilians from leaving.

2,600 civilians killed in Mariupol. Probably not. There would be so many photos of dead bodies, wounded people, stretchers, ambulances. We see none of that. The figure is false.

Zelensky is in Kiev. False. The video of him visiting wounded soldiers was shot in mid-February. He is accompanied by a female physician. She died on February 26, so the video must have been shot before then.

Russia bombed itself with a Tochka missile in Donetsk, killing 20 and wounding 28. False. The missile came from the Ukrainian side from Kramatorsk. Also Russia quit making that missile in 2013 and in 2019 the last ones were cleared out of storage. This was obviously payback for the missile attacks on the barracks of the foreign mercenaries in Lviv.

Russia attacked 15 miles from the Polish border. This means he’s going to expand the war to Poland. False. They hit the base where the mercenaries and supplies were coming in.

35 were killed in the Russian attack on the base near the border. This is the tally for Ukrainian soldiers. It does not appear to include the mercenaries of the Foreign Fighter Brigades. Members of those brigades say they were decimated and lost 180 men in the attack. Surviving mercenaries fled to Poland afterwards. It’s also reported that they are being rushed into combat in Kiev with very little training and old automatic weapons that do not work well. Morale amongst the foreign legion is very poor.

Russia shut down all opposition media. This is not so. I’m on Russian sites all the time and there are vigorous debates going on there. They did shut down some particularly virulent opposition media.

Keep in mind that this type of opposition has no more than

On the Russian pages I went to, it was about 50-50 split between support for shutting them down and opposition to it, which shows right there that the opposition viewpoint is allowed. 1

A woman wounded in the maternity hospital attack has died along with her unborn baby. There is one woman, a model and actress, who plays two different pregnant women in this production. She was in Istanbul, but suddenly she showed up in Mariupol. Reports indicate that she just gave birth to a baby, however, she also plays the second woman who supposedly died along with her baby. But it was one crisis actor playing both women.

Russia reported to the UN that Azov was using that hospital as a base four days before. And it doesn’t even look like Russia attacked the hospital at all. All of the windows are blown out and all of the 110 rooms destroyed and there are only 17 wounded? No way. See the US bombing of the hospital in Kunduz because they were treating wounded Taliban fighters. Look at the damage to the building. It’s covered in soot. 42 people died and many more were wounded. That’s what happens when you bomb a hospital.

Also in the maternity hospital production, the victims have no soot on them. With all of those windows blown out, there would be many glass injuries. There are none. The blood on the actress does not look real to me. It looks fake.

Russia is planning a chemical or biological attack. There’s no evidence to suggest this when Russia is winning the war. This comes on the heels of the bioweapons labs of the US discovered in Ukraine. US officials said that they are not bioweapons labs first, and second, that if any chemical or biological attack occurs, it will be Russia’s fault. How do they know one will occur? How do they know Russia will do it? This is what they did in all of the lead-ups to every one of the fake White Helmets chemical weapons attacks.

They always said Syria was going to do a chemical weapons attack. Then Russia would usually say NATO was planning a fake attack. Then the attack would happen and it was always fake. So there is a serious risk of a fake biological or chemical weapons attack in Ukraine along the White Helmets model. US media and citizen suckers fell for it over and over in Syria, so they’ll obviously fall for it again in Ukraine.

Also chemical or biological weapons attacks serves as a casus belli for attacking with a military force as the UN allows nations to go in and attack governments that use chemical and biological weapons. That’s why WMD’s were used as a casus belli in Iraq and Syria and now possibly in Ukraine – it gives us an excuse to attack!

The US has no bioweapons labs in Ukraine. That we do is Russian-Chinese disinformation. I’ve been studying these labs forever. There may be as many as 200 of them. When Congress ended the bioweapons program, the Pentagon simply shifted them out of the country to many other countries.

The US says they are just “biological” laboratories and there is nothing off about them. Then why are they run by the Pentagon? Why is all information about them classified? Why is the Pentagon busy scrubbing the webpages and shredding the files about these labs? If there’s nothing weird going on there, why is Victoria Nuland, the monster, so worried about this material falling into the hands  of the Russians? When I first heard about these labs, what I read contained extensive documentation, but I didn’t really believe it. It was way too out there. Now it turns out that they are real.

I know all about these labs. They are not “biological research” labs. They are out and out bioweapons labs, period. Everywhere these labs go in the world, weird mini-epidemics of never before seen diseases seem to pop up in the country where the lab is. I don’t know what’s going on and how this stuff is getting out of the labs into the local population.

Georgia complained that a lab in that country resulted in an outbreak of an odd strain of Hepatitis never before seen in the country. The lab was also collecting samples of Russian DNA and sending it back to the US. This was almost surely for making a bioweapon to target a specific population group.  They were working with many highly virulent agents at this lab and the research involved trying to find ways to weaponize these agents.

Whatever the Hell on Earth those labs are doing, I’m not really sure, but I don’t trust the government and this stinks to high heavens and looks like a bioweapons program. Every one of those labs needs to be shut down right now and all of those pathogens need to be destroyed pronto.
