Rightwing populism is never coherent, truly populist nor a friend of the workers and ordinary people. It’s a fraud pretending to be pro-people and anti-ruling class.
It tries to be rightwing and pro-people at the same time, which is obviously impossible, hence it is incoherent, irrational, and ridiculous. Their enemies either don’t exist, don’t make sense, or aren’t enemies. If populism means for the ordinary people, rightwing populism is fake populism. Furthermore, it tends to be a stepping stone away from fascism.
