Not sure what it’s all about but the pro-Ukraine side, which lies a rug, has been going on about this forever. I figured it was just more of their lies until I saw this.
So the Russian MOD and the Wagner paramilitary have had a falling out. No one quite knows what it is all about, possibly about who is taking credit for which assaults and victories. There are rumors that the MOD thought Wagner was showing them up or making them look bad. First Wagner was cut off from its prisoner supply. Now they are getting cut off from ammunition. I think they are going to be folded into the regular army at some point. Around Bakmut, Wagner is being replaced with the Russian Army.
There are plenty of lies going around about Wagner, along with some very disturbing accusations:
Wagner has executed troops who refused to storm locations. This may in fact be true. A Wagner officer sought refuse in Norway and he’s spilling the beans on them. I’m worried that they may be doing this, and if they are, they’re murdering Russian citizens. Maybe this is why Putin wants to rope them in and put them on a short leash.
Russian military recently attached to Wagner complained about being ordered to storm places. They also said that Wagner ordered them to go pick up dead and wounded Wagner people even if it was dangerous. If they refused to do it, Wagner threatened to kill them. It will not surprise me. Wagner is brutal!
Wagner killed a defector with a sledgehammer. I’m afraid so. And they did it on videotape. I think he defected over to the enemy side and then gave them a lot of information. Anyway, that’s still murder and Wagner doesn’t have a right to murder Russian citizens.
Wagner uses prisoners from “suicide charges” and storming areas. Their death rate is very high. The better troops are held back. The prisoners are seen as expendable. I’m not sure if this is true. Prigozhin says that the death rate among the prisoners is the same as among regular Wagner forces.

Wagner executes its soldiers for retreating. Wagner retreats all the time. I don’t believe this charge.
Wagner forces wounded soldiers to keep fighting. No idea if this is true or not.
Wagner is brutal! They are also very good. It’s about time they were put under the control of the Russian Army. They need to be kept on a very short leash.
