I don’t even know what most of the terms in the title even mean, but the commenter is referencing them.
Pantheist: How do you explain such phenomena as synchronicities and simulpathy (twins sharing pain) as well as non-locality and quantum entanglement?
In recent years I have been experiencing some very uncanny synchronicities, especially while watching TV. For example, I will be watching television and thinking of or even typing a word on my phone or device and seconds later hearing that exact same word being spoken on my TV.
Once while watching the show American Pickers on the History Channel, I asked my Echo Dot what the temperature was, and she (Alexa) replied that it was 78 degrees. A second later Mike Wolfe said the word 78, as he was referring to the year 1978!
Is the notion that we are living in a simulation the only plausible explanation to explain such phenomenon?
I know the commenter pretty well, and I assume he’s not mentally ill. But people with schizophrenia spectrum disorders often report such things. I assume that the synchroniticies in those cases are hallucinated. I’ve heard of some pretty weird cases! That said, apparently they can occur in people without schizophrenia spectrum illnesses, too.
I don’t think we are living in a simulation. I am just saying that mass propaganda driven by states and intelligence agencies is for all intents and purposes creating a “fake reality” that is completely different from actual observable reality, and that therefore, we may as well be living in a actual simulation (fake reality), whether we are or not.
I don’t have any explanation for this, nor do I even understand the phenomenon very well.
However, after years of research, I am certain that the collective unconscious is not only real but is somehow heritable! I know that sounds insane and even Lamarkian, but Lamark was not completely wrong, as there seems to be evidence in the lab with micro-organisms that things learned in life are actually passed on to the offspring! Don’t ask me how that works at all.
I also think there is something like a “global unconscious” in that much of humanity is experiencing similar strong emotions at various times due to global events. I’m not sure how that works either except that maybe “energy” and “vibes” somehow travel between human objects and permeate our object barriers to enter our minds.
I know it’s crazy but there is actually experimental evidence for this in the lab. People have actually been able to do things to micro-organisms in another lab just by thinking about them. Groups of people were able to cause changes in micro-organisms over distance. The furthest distance so much is 10 miles!
I have no idea what is going on here, but I assume it is explainable by the laws of physics somehow, otherwise it would not be happening.
A great example of this were the weeks and months after the 9/11 attacks. There was a lot of anger, fear, and confusion in America and around the world.
As far is physics is concerned, our understanding is still incomplete and therefore incorrect as of 2022. A lot of these concepts (non-locality, quantum entanglement) will be fully understood and explained once more scientific breakthroughs are made.
However, we are still in the early stages of trying to understand consciousness from a scientific perspective. The more breakthroughs we make studying the brain, the closer we will get to understanding what role consciousness plays in objective and subjective experience. The results of the double-slit experiment are haunting to say the least.
There are even theories out there besides Advaita Vedanta that suggest consciousness is an inherent part of the universe. That may explain synchronicity and other wacky phenomenon such as ghosts and near-death experiences. Consciousness may be creating this thing we call reality and our 3rd dimensional existence keeps us trapped within certain paradigms. It’s like trying to understand how a computer works by observing the pixels on the screen, ya know?
