Watched Wild at Heart on the Net the other day. Early David Lynch from the 1990’s. I love Lynch’s movies. Isabelle Rossellini is in it. Hadn’t seen her since Blue Velvet, another excellent movie. Nicholas Cage, Laura Dern are excellent as leads. Diane Ladd was great as the mother. Willem Dafoe is great as the creepy gangster type. J. E. Freedman was excellent as Santos, the gangster and hitman.
But ultimately, as we learn at the very end, it’s a love story, like so many great movies. And what a love story!
