Claudius: Is the Alternative Left hell-bent on government control at the national and international level? Can’t we keep it more at the municipality level to prevent inefficiencies and ethnic tensions, e.g. Whites here paying for Blacks there?
Nothing wrong with decentralization and running a lot of stuff at the local level. Hell, even the Chinese do that, and they do it much better than most places.
Yep we want government everywhere, pretty much. See how the CCP runs China? Aside from the totalitarian aspects of it, that’s how I’d like to see the state be run.

How do you define working well? What distinguishes the top category from the bottom? Is present-day Colombia really worse off than Mexico?
I’m not criticizing your categorization. I just wouldn’t be able any two countries from the above as one being any more or less statist than the other.
The local level always seems most important. Covid-19 had to hit America and their specific state for most to give a shit.
Non-exploitative colonization of shithole countries justified. Letting the Boers rule South Africa may save Khoisan lives. UK seems like a Sick Man in Europe. Worst feminists, sold her soul to Jews, natives Brits seem unwelcome or 2nd class, etc. Seems they were better off as colonizers. Their ex-colonies are often the cream of the colonial crop.
