Non-Preachy Political Movies Are Better

Well, not always. Oliver Stone makes some good ones! However, it is nice to see non-preachy ones like Romper Stomper, the portrayal of Australian Neo-Nazis (and also the series).

Movie Spoilers

Well, the thing is Romper Stomper still gets the message across in the end to most people, and I can say the same about the German naval movie Das Boot (The Boat). The Romper Stomper movie and series both end in terrible violence and a lack of resolution for either side, and Das Boot ends with a bombing occurring tragically after a highly unlikely escape.

On the other hand, American History X was preachy. Glory was preachy. It’s pretty easy to be cynical about these films because it’s difficult to not notice the sanctimoniousness! But that doesn’t mean they weren’t great and moving films.

However, to a conservative these films might be annoying due to their condescending tone. It’s so much cooler when a non-condescending movie changes the mind of someone who you’d think would never be so affected.

TBF, I really liked American History X more because it was awesome and one of the most entertaining movies of all time. At least one of the most entertaining movies of the ’90s decade.

I liked watching the angst and redemption story of David and Derek Vinyard – they’re somewhat similar to Holden Caulfield in the Catcher in the Rye.

Romper Stomper was nice but I really couldn’t get past the fucked up Aussie accents.

Over here in my part of the world, it’s more common to run into Aussies than Americans. In my city, there’s a bar I frequent which is always full of Aussies and Brits.

Americans overseas are pretty rare but I think they’re just a lot better in so many ways. Everyone likes them in general. Maybe because they’re more generous and outgoing.

  2. American History X should’ve ended with Derek shaving his head as was rumored to have been cut from the film. I watch Mad Men for sexism and want more movies like Apocalyto. The gay Jew mafia in Hollywood creates imbalance and propaganda is more important than quality to (((them))). Unfunny mindnumbing PC comics are given platforms. Uninteresting hacks given shows and we are told they are fascinating talents. The whole thing’s fake and Jewish. Watch the complete version of Arn or a Japanese Samurai film, the media would be superior if the Axis won. Aussies seem a bit more Brit. America had large flows of Germans and other European groups looking for a better life. I know Aussies have Greeks and whatnot now. Australia and New Zealand for that matter, have been essentially cottage pie countries since conception. America started as a cottage pie but each slice(region) tastes much different.

    1. Well, to be honest, comedy is subjective. Liberals won’t find the same things funny – that WNs do, or sometimes even Joe the Plumber Republicans.

Well, the problem is that mainstream movies are shown to everyone – so while a liberal finds Glory cool – a WN or Republican will be highly cynical and crack jokes.

    1. Wasn’t Amos and Andy like the crows on Dumbo – LOL? Well, why didn’t The Black Crowes get any heat for this? I know. It’s only a joke – LOL…
