Alt Left: Final Score – Nature: 200,000, Cultural Left: 0

Tradition exists for a reason. Tradition is the human behavior, morals, norms, values, and wisdom that have withstood the test of time.

Our ancestors were experimenting. Experimenting with human nature and the human condition. Trying to figure out how to run society in the best way possible, given our nature. Tradition is the stuff that was proven to have worked over centuries.

The new stuff that the Cultural Left throws in the face of tradition is the stuff that tradition always maintained didn’t work, a notion they came to no doubt by trial and error. The human experiments, social engineering and wars against nature go on.

This is one great thing I love about conservatism. Classically, conservatism has noticed the endless social experiments of the Cultural Left dubiously. “Ok,” the conservatives said. “You all go off and do your experiments. Just leave us out of it, ok? And hey, after you do it, let us know how it goes, ok?”  But now they’re dragging everyone else along for the ride. We’re donkeys and their pulling us by these damned bridles they forced on us. As usual, it’s not working.

In a sense they are noble, these starry-eyed people of the Cultural Left. These are people who see the ways of nature as limited and backwards. They long for a better world, an engineered one, crafted with pure human intelligence and spirit, adorned with slogans, and enforced with the usual goodhearted social bullying. But one thought is important: these are people who dream of a better world.

These things go on for a bit, and then the reaction sets in, and everyone throws up their hands and wonders why humans keep going backwards. But they’re not going backwards. They’re going home.

You can go to the far ends of the Earth, run as far and hard as you can to escape from the cruel finality of nature, you wake up in Timbuktu, Bangkok, or the heart of Amazon, and it hits you. The crushing disappointment, as heavy as a heart attack. There, rising with the sun to the east, greeting you so horribly, is that fatal reminder: wherever you go on Earth, you’re always back at home. Your home called Nature.

  1. Well, not all SJW projects were bad. For instance, school integration – assuming the neighborhood’s not too bad and the races are evenly matched – can work. It can also work in a majority White school, with some exceptions.

Well, anyway, we can see the point where things don’t work, and gays, transsexuals, and certain racial cases are the limit. But, White racists want “across the board” intolerance, and that’s mean-spirited and not necessary.

Actually, “too much intolerance” can have a bad opposite effect because it encroaches on human freedom, and doesn’t allow growth where it’s actually possible.

This is precisely the type of “social conservatism” I’ve found myself drifting into ever since I ceased being a Leftist Progressive around about 2014-2015, which was precisely the time when the SJW menace started rearing its ugly head. It was also around the time I started studying up on Traditionalist ethical doctrines of philosophers like Plato and Aristotle and metaphysical systems like Neoplatonism and Vedanta.

Though I’m now a lot more conservative than I was in my youth, even now I’m loathe to the idea of using the state to forcibly impose my own ethics/morality on everyone else. Evangelical Christian fundamentalist busybodies can go straight to hell along with the Clownworld SJW authoritarians, as far as I’m concerned.

And regarding the American Right in general, prior to the recent populist revolt, basically what’s passed for conservatism in America has been a total joke and has little to do with genuine conservatism and more to do with retarded worship of the “free market” (i.e. Mammon-worship) mixed with Protestant moralfagging.

Basically I believe that all forms of pleb morality are emotion-driven and stupid. When you let the masses dictate morality, you get one idiotic moral panic and mass-hysteria wave after another.

I think the ultimate solution here in the US is to get federal and state governments out of the business of legislating morality and to devolve that function to municipal-level entities. Let one city/region be Athens, another one be Sparta, another one be Sybaris, etc. And may the region that most wisely understands human nature reign supreme as the shining example to follow!

    1. This is a great comment. Your comments are always great. I think your comment is pretty much Alt Left too. That’s more or less where we are coming from.

Not sure if I asked you before, but were you on the old site?

      1. Thanks. Yes, I was an occasional commenter on the old site, in the latter days of it not long before the feminist cunts got it shut down (I was pretty saddened when that happened). I think I went by the name “Laughing Sage” there.

I dunno if I would call myself “Left” in any meaningful capacity. In fact I don’t really know what I’d label myself politically, as general all modern-era political ideologies tend to piss me off. I’m pretty much politically homeless.

The main problem I tend to have with sane and reasonable Leftists (an ever-dwindling bunch, IMO) is that they tend to make endless excuses for the crazy SJW wing and thus enable them to be the schoolyard bullies. I see it as spineless political tribalism, in the same way you’ll see good cops protecting dirty cops in the name of fraternity/brotherhood or whatnot.

I loathe ideological tribalism and Identity Politics in general. Like, I lean Right on some things, but I’d never make excuses for Alt Right retards or Neocons or any of the stupid ideas that come from those camps.

Otherwise, I’m HBD-aware (though I’d never hate on someone for being naturally disadvantaged) and moderately Manosphere on gender issues, which would probably get me labelled at Alt Right by all the feminuts and cucks out there on the Cultural Left.

        1. Mithridates: I dunno if I would call myself “Left” in any meaningful capacity.

Well we are Left on Economics and really a lot of other things. I came out of the Left and I have been a man of the Left my whole life. However, now the Left despises me. But I hate conservatism in all of its existing forms in the US. I am not sure if there is a form of conservatism overseas that resonates with me.

I’m just not really a typical conservative person. Actually I was Cultural Left for ages, even decades, and I caught a lot of abuse for it. But the Cultural Left crazy train just kept on keeping on and it left me at the station around Democratic Party 1995 or so. Ever since then, every year it gets further into the distance.

To be Cultural Left in 1978 or 1988 would be considered reactionary or Alt Right nowadays. That’s how far they’ve swung. Every year they move the goalposts a bit more and if you don’t keep up you are pure evil bigoted scum who needs to be shot. Right now they’ve moved the goalposts so far I can’t even see them anymore.

I am in line with a lot of the Nationalist Right though, along with Russia, China and especially the Communist Party of the Russian Federation. Recall that all of the old Communist regimes were quite conservative socially. That’s where I am coming from. There’s starting to be a lot of overlap in the nationalist circles.

Some of the “Alt Right” support Bolivia, Venezuela, Vietnam, the Palestinians, Hezbollah, Iran, the Houthis, Russia, and China. That doesn’t sound very rightwing to me. They’re more of a populist Right. As far as that goes, I can see myself in alliance with a lot of them.

There is also something called Third Positionism, and I do lean towards that in a sense. There is also leftypol on the chans – the anti-SJW Hard Left. I guess I am in between them and the Third Positionists with a bit closer to the 3P on some things.

          Maybe you’re Alt Left?

          1. I’d maybe call myself Alt-Center, or Esc-Center or something along those lines. In the long-view I’m a disaffected liberal and my own politics today is largely based on a pragmatic approach to issues, i.e. what works vs. what doesn’t work, as opposed to it being dictated by an abstract ideology, especially one far removed from Natural Law.

I also recognize that politics throughout most of history was simply a mechanism for meditating competing and conflicting interests; the whole notion that politics is all about expressing pop-morality or “saving the world” or any other kind of delusional nonsense involving lots of autistic screeching is really a modern-era phenomenon.

On the “nazeeeeeeeee” Cultural Left of yesteryear, I still quite remember the edgiest, funniest, and most offensive comedians of contemporary American pop culture coming out of that paradigm.

And yeah, I agree the Populist Right of the Current Year take a lot of positions on geopolitics/foreign affairs that was mostly in Leftist wheelhouse for the past several decades at least. The Neocon zio-shilling tail that wags the foreign policy dog has lost a lot of ground among both conservatives and disaffected liberals during the 2010s.

Back to the original point, it seems that being anything Left these days involves having an uncompromising belief in the various egalitarian dogmas of the past couple centuries of liberal thought, especially the blank slate nonsense which totally flies in the face of both scientific and spiritual knowledge.

Knowing what I now know about HBD and the differential spiritual qualities innate to each human individual, I find it impossible to revert to any sort of naive belief like a blank-slate egalitarian ontology.

And by that we could conclude that using dogmatic blank-state-ism as a basis for drafting public policies or telling people how they should and shouldn’t behave is just a recipe for misery and disaster. Once again, I don’t know where all this puts me in terms of currently-fashionable political categories.

At the end of the day, I have to say that when Natural Law (which is Divine and Eternal) has one thing to say about reality, and some fallible, man-made, hubris-ridden doctrine has something else to say about reality, I know which side I’m going to place my trust in.

          2. The original Alt Left was race realist, but the Alt Left masses have rejected that. Instead of going to Black Slate-ism, they’ve just decided to go neutral on that question. Their statement is that they are not sure if HBD is true or not and they don’t want to discuss it.

However, I am an HBD’er with the caveat that 99% of HBD’ers are reactionary jerks. I am not a hardcore hereditarian though, there are too many other things going on with culture and whatnot to take that position.

You can definitely be in the Alt Left with your mindset. The Alt Center is more racially oriented, sort of like liberal or Leftist White nationalist, but their WN is very mild compared to the others.

    2. Quote @Mithridates

Well, actually – they’re highly unable to force their rules on everyone – anyway – for the large part. However, they can somewhat – and the solution is to form independent groups. It would be like someone starting a Boy Scout organization that excludes gays.
