Yep, and they might even shoot to kill a 5-year old. Well, the age limit isn’t that high! In Africa there are even stories of child soldiers, and I’m sure your typical kid in the USA can become a lethal weapon.
Possible Solutions?
I don’t know. Maybe they could make guns that tranquilize instead of kill. Any thoughts?
Some Strange Story
I heard this story where in the Philippines this guy (an American) had his watch stolen, and then a guard shot to death the youth who took it. Considering the treatment of street children there, I’m not surprised.

Beanbag shotguns, rubber bullets, or a taser. I say never lethal force on kids. Kids are more capable of change.
They may already be doing that. I don’t know.
