Polar Bear: I revel in anti-PC but honestly didn’t think “sissy” was. If it’s more offensive than all the other words, I’ll use it more. I’m not one of the jocks looking to swirl your curly locks.
Haha. You didn’t think the word sissy was banned? Who knows if it’s banned or not? These banned words change more often than the weather. Every day I wake up and another word I’ve been using my whole life is banned forever and can get me fired or ruin my life. It’s starting to piss me off. I almost feel like using those words even more just to piss off the SJW’s, who, let’s face it, are really just extreme moralfags.
Any negative portrayal of effeminate men is pretty much out in this day and age. Gay men are our new sacred cows. Why this is I have no idea. They’re not exactly saints, you know.
If it’s more offensive than all the other words, I’ll use it more.
That word sissy is never used except for boys. There are only sissy boys; there are no sissy men. And it’s mostly boys who call other boys sissies. The word’s not really used by adults of either sex, except in retrospect:
“As a boy, he was often called a sissy.”
A lot of gay men openly admit to being sissies as boys. They come right out and say it.
There is a good book about male homosexuality called The Sissy Boy Syndrome. It has a lot about the etiology of homosexuality. 75% of sissy boys grow up to be gay. 25% do grow up to be straight though. There is a direct line from sissy boy to gay man. Make of it what you will.
The % of tomboys who grow up to be lesbians is much lower than for gay men. ~25%, possibly. Many straight women were tomboys as girls. Many of these grew up to be very feminine women.
Women are strange. They move around a lot. They’re a lot less hardwired then men. The essence of the female or feminine character is fluidity: in movement, in thought, in sexuality, in all sorts of things. Women seem to flow their way through life. I look at a young woman flowing along with her head swimming in the clouds and I think of the sea. Of course the Sea as Woman and the Sea as Mother are ancient tropes.
We men charge through existence like bulls in a china shop. I have to admit it’s fun for a while though. This is the essence of the Young Man: programmed to destroy. If they make it to 30 with two feet still on the ground, men tend to calm down a lot.
