“It is difficult to get a man to understand something, when his salary depends on his not understanding it.”
― Upton Sinclair
Read that quote and think about what it means. When you understand that, you will understand so many things about life in contemporary America, or any capitalist country. Everything will light up, bells will ring, and you will have an epiphany that never ends.

It’s difficult to separate out the awful human elements that we see, which are a result of people adapting to Capitalism, and the awful human elements which are just part of being human. We then have to account for the fact that Capitalism is a system designed for the basest, lowest human instincts.
Worst still, pretty much anyone working for any Capitalist enterprise of any significant, has many things which they are required to believe, and not believe.
I disagree. I think it’s easy to get a man to understand just about anything. Now, whether he gives a crap is a completely different story.
