The Collector is a famous classic novel written in 1963 by the great British author John Fowles. It was immediately greeted with much acclaim, and the success of the book enabled Fowles to quit his day job and work full-time as an author.

Interestingly, 6 of the 25 languages on this list were spoken in the former Soviet Union. So much for the oft-heard claim that in the Soviet Union everything was published in Russian Masterspeak.
It was the only Slavic language written in Cyrillic characters left that I could think of.
Not really that interested in languages, but it’s a good book. The Magus is better, have you read it?
Never read it, but I heard it is really good. A Maggot and The French Lieutenant’s Woman are supposed to be good too.
