Hanging Out in a Tough Working Class Mexican Bar

I used to hang out in the local bar which is full of working class and lower class Mexicans Chicanos, including some gang or street types, illegal aliens, ghetto type Blacks and a very few working class Whites. They had strippers once or twice a week and I used to go on stripper nights. Some of the illegals and other Mexicans (green card holders or citizens) actually accepted me for some reason. It was a rather tough bar. There were some pretty tough gang types who would come in often late at night. You could tell they were gang types because they wear clothing with insignia on it. For instance, Nortenos might have clothing that has an “N” or the word “north” in it somewhere. Those types were best avoided, as they seemed to be sort of looking for trouble. Sometimes guys would come in very late at night looking to fight. You can tell because as soon as they walk in the door, they look very mean and angry like they are going to hit someone or kill someone. Sometimes a fight broke out, often very late at night like 1 AM. I like Mexicans because Mexican men actually love fights. They never call the cops like White people do, which I think is often very pussy. They just let men fight it out. If it looked like a fight was breaking out, the owner would run over there and clear all the chairs and tables out of the way so the fighters had a big circle to fight in. Then a crowd would gather round the fighters, and the owner would be in the crowd. The owner would give a motion to the men meaning, “It’s ok to go for it now,” and they would start fighting. The fights don’t last long. To Mexican men, barfights are some sort of entertainment. I never had any problems in the bar, but I go into “badass” mode in places like that. Then you just avoid trouble, be careful who you talk to, and you should be ok. I can hold my own pretty well in hardass lower class bars like that.

  1. I go relatively frequently to a little discotheque that is frequented mainly by underclass people and, less, working-class people. And there are some few (and low profile) middle-class people, usually mixed with people from lower classes or friends of the owner.
Curious thing here is that, in this place, always there are 6 or 7 transexuals, all from underclass… People that prostitute themselves in streets. Drunk guys into the disco sometimes try to get them, and being rejected (another times, not). There are men that will fuck every hole from any person that have any small similarity to a female, no matter how “ugly” can be. Is like they were in jail or something.
Also, is relatively common seen some isolated homosexuals, usually into some group with girls and transexuals (those have female friends), and masculine underclass guys simply make as if they did not exist. Some are very effeminate homosexuals. Also sometimes there are a little group of female homosexuals, obviously very masculine, except for two or three, that problably play the femenine role.
Transexuals are not disturbed because problably if you have problems with them, they will fight like men, and some look very tough and have big bodies. But effeminate homosexuals are also are not disturbed, even from guys that don’t like them.
Into people that frequent the place, you can find many thieves and prostitutes, and even some beggars, homeless, junkies, alcoholics…

Damn, Robert. That’s the inner thug in you speaking.
Men in pretty much all third world countries love to brawl in bars and inner city ghettoes. It’s the same scene everywhere.

  3. Speaking of tough Mexicans, does anyone remember the part on “The Three Amigos” where they walk into that tough bar and everyone is afraid of them?
