Why I Hate Leon Trotsky

James Schipper wrote:

I really don’t get it, Robert, why do you hate Trotsky so much? Moreover, killing someone who already has lost all power is the equivalent of shooting POW’s. According to Boris Bazhanov in Ich War Stalins Sekretär, Stalin was extremely vindictive and held life-long grudges. That’s what the murder of Trotsky was, Stalin’s personal revenge against a former rival who crossed him too often, who intellectually overshadowed him, and who never liked him. I certainly don’t see Stalin’s record as totally negative, but it can’t be denied that Stalin had a nasty character and that a lot of the people killed during his rule were not killed for political reasons but to satisfy Stalin’s personal ignoble motives.

Trotsky called for the International Communist Movement to be neutral in WW2. He said it was a war between two capitalist groups – Germany and the Allies, and that Communists should not take sides in that war. A lot of Communists heeded his call. Also he egged on Germany and urged them to attack the USSR, which they soon did. He said a Nazi conquest of the USSR would be a good idea. I will never forgive him for taking such a line. Stalin was a very bad man and a lot of good people were killed for no good reason at all, especially in the 1930’s. Terrible.

  1. No offense Robert but what you said sounds very dubious and devoid of context almost taken from the headlines of some Pravda hit piece. Trotsky supported the Soviet Union until the very day the country he founded killed him. Trotsky didn’t say the USSR was capitalist only a degenerated worker state which by 1937-1941 were the darkest days of communism. The reprehensible murder of the Bolshevik, NKVD, and Red Army leadership, non-aggression pact with Nazi Germany, the rise of the bloodthirsty rapist/murderer Beria, etc. Even bourgeois historians attack Trotsky for his unwavering support of the USSR despite his ferocious condemnations of Stalin.
I will always defend Stalin against reactionaries but will also attack him for betraying the ideals of the revoultion. I simply can’t hate Koba yet when it comes to Trotsky too many comrades are ready to spit on the founder of the Red Army and hero of the October Revolution.
Trotsky did condemn the Soviet Union from a Marxist perspective asserting that the precedents Stalin established would be the downfall of the Soviet Union. Trotsky was ridiculed at the time but managed to be the first and only person to correctly predict the demise of the USSR via counterrevolution from the top.

    1. “Trotsky didn’t say the USSR was capitalist”.
Robert didn’t claim he said that. Read again:
“He said it was a war between two capitalist groups – Germany and the Allies”

    2. Also, when you I read ‘bourgeois historians’ it reminded me of what Niall Ferguson, an eminent historian, said:
“Something that’s seldom appreciated about me is that I am in sympathy with a great deal of what Marx wrote, except that I’m on the side of the bourgeoisie.”
      Or the full passage:
‘ His approach to the past is overwhelmingly materialistic. Questions of right and wrong, or indeed of personality and psychology, don’t appear to preoccupy him greatly. What gets him going is hard data, facts and figures – the stuff, in other words, that is most measurable (and, by extension, provable). No doubt this outlook has a lot to do with his grounding in economic history. Yet his materialism goes beyond this, almost to the point, oddly, of seeming Marxian. “Something that’s seldom appreciated about me,” he declares, “is that I am in sympathy with a great deal of what Marx wrote, except that I’m on the side of the bourgeoisie.” ‘
Its kind of cool that he is so upfront about it.

    1. Judaism, Christianity, and Islam are all offshoots of even more ancient Mesopotamian belief systems. In some cases the stories are word for word plagiarisms. Marxism is the only authentic Jewish creation but Marx never identified with Jews viewing them as money grubbing hucksters who serve capitalism.

      1. The Bolshevik revolution was financed by Wall Street jews like Jacob Schiff, the same wealthy jews created the NAACP for the Blacks and opened the US for the 3rd world with 1964 immigration act.
Jews control both Capitalism and Communism.

        1. Germany also supported the Bolsheviks hoping a Russian withdrawal from world war one was their best chance at victory. Lenin returned to Russia after exile under heavy German guard.
None of the communist and ex-communist countries have liberalism, feminism, faggotry normalization, and mass immigration. It has nothing to do with wealth either Red China is the most economically powerful nation on earth. You need to accept that bourgeois democracy produces these things and not communism.

        2. “…None of the communist and ex-communist countries have liberalism, feminism, faggotry normalization, and mass immigration…”
That’s it. I’m a commie now. Fuck conservatism.

  2. QUOTE” Also he egged on Germany and urged them to attack the USSR, which they soon did. He said a Nazi conquest of the USSR would be a good idea.”
Why? That’s crazy. That’s like an Israeli joining Al Qaeda Do you have quick sources, backing this claim up?

  3. QUOTE”The Bolshevik revolution was financed by Wall Street jews like Jacob Schiff, the same wealthy jews created the NAACP for the Blacks and opened the US for the 3rd world with 1964 immigration act.”
What was wrong with the NAACP? What was wrong with the 1964 act, until it went overboard with the Latino thing?
Probably Jews financed the Russian Revolution, because they hated the Russian government. With all the pograms, who could blame them?

  4. Yes, absolutely, all those African darkies, and Asian coolies need to return their plantation work. Don’t listen to those devil Jew-boys. They’re just leading you to a trap. Get on your knees, and suck the white man’s dick, like you were told. LOL

  5. Imperialism is so horrible, that it’s defenders have to resort to vast Jewish conspiracy theories, to defend it. “Oh, if only the Jews weren’t around, they’re would be some darkies bringing me tea every morning, LOL.”. ” Oh fiddle dee dee, LOL”

  6. Total bullshit. Trotsky never advocated for Germany to attack the Soviet Union. One of his last works, In Defense of Marxism, was a polemic against those on the left who saw no value in defending the Soviet Union after the Molotov-Von Ribbentrop Pact. In 1940 the Soviet Union was also neutral with respect to the combatants at that time.
