The Night Barak Was Elected President

As I stated above, Obama is a hood ornament who was elected because he was the first black candidate to come along who wasn’t a complete joke, a woman, or both. He’s also the worst sort of self-worshiping narcissist. I’m sure that only added to his appeal in the minds of the average rich or upper-middle class liberals. He would be just as bad as Bush or maybe even worse.

I guess I am a classic case. I would have voted for him anyway of course, but the fact that he was Black held extra appeal (also that he was not a nutty Black – instead he was a rather ordinary Black). I was at a doctor’s office at 8 PM the night he won. The TV was on in the doctor’s office. My Mom called me and said, “It’s over! All of Chicago is marching to the park!” And on TV, all those people were already marching to the park in Chicago even though the election was not formally over. They were holding candles and singing. Spike Lee (a radical Black I do not like much) was on TV, marching to the park, giddy like you’ve never seen him, and he was saying, “Wow! This changes everything!” He was happy for once instead of angry like he always is. That made me feel really good to hear him say that. And that whole city getting up off their couches and marching to the park – wow! It was breathtaking, like you were a part of history. There were some Black people in the doctor’s office, and they were getting emotional, and I found myself actually getting choked up like I wanted to cry. There was this little Black girl next to me. I looked at her and pointed to the TV and asked her, “Do you like Barak?” She nodded her head in that shy and cute way kids have. I looked over at her parents, and they were beaming at me. I have to admit that for a liberal, it sure felt great. It was like our day in the sun. From the 1960’s to the election of Barak, it seemed like the culmination of a movement.

  1. I remember the night he was elected. They did a crowd shot, designed to accentuate the new love of diversity we would all now be celebrating. They showed a black guy dreamily hugging his white girlfriend. Black guy, white girlfriend, black president. The world was truely now in perfect balance for that brother.

  2. First off, obama is not all black,DUH.2nd he doesn’t make all the decisions,3rd he just wanted all Americans to have health care.Unfortunately Hillary had a big say-so in the process.

  3. The part of you that identifies as a liberal would indeed have enjoyed electing a guy who was even then being denounced by black socialists-nationalists as untrustworthy at best and likely to break his most
    important campaign promises and inferences.

      1. In general, the world loves Obama. However, even in Obama loving nations like South Korea or the UK, you will find a few people that don’t.

  4. James Brown was America’s first de facto black President. His inaugural speech was “Living in America” in Rocky 3. The fact that most of America ignored this is a tragedy of epic proportion.

    1. According to a black guy I know, the first US president was a man named John Hanson, who preceded George Washington. Hanson was neither the president of the United States or black.

    2. According to my (black) girlfriend, Bill Clinton was the first black President of the United States.

  5. I was terribly disappointed and horrified that Obongo got as far as he did in that election! Even I knew back then, before he even reached the final elections that he was a fraud, a cheat, a criminal, a narcissist, incompetent trash, a corrupt piece of shit mulatto with a chip on his shoulder and with the same degenerate tendencies of blacks combined with semi-White intelligence making him the degenerate incompetent crony that he turned out to be now!
This was before he even was considered as a presidential candidate in the elections btw. I figured that he was a dumb self centered shit from hearing his speeches and that he was terribly of mediocre intelligence riding purely on the race card and hypocritical spineless liberal gullibility combined with unintelligent illogical emotionally driven populism. I knew the moment that when he reached the finals and the presidential nomination that this country was rigged and filled with dumbasses, while being in the path towards doom and failure!
I originally voted for Ron Paul and was also considering Kucinich/Gabel/Nader since they were only the candidates on the independent political side, who did not have as bad track record or history of corruption/corporate manipulation plus general incompetence. They were also the only candidates that had a shot at changing the country for real and the only logical choice for citizen’s benefit and getting rights/freedom from the government!
But no, all the stupid negroes/spic’s/useful minority racist idiots/tools/dumbasses/degenerate trash and the liberal hypocritical pieces of shit had to destroy any chance of Americans getting an actual competent guy to give back to citizen’s in the country and actually run the country like a good proficient intellectual guy would…

    1. Not to mention that Ron Paul and Ralph Nader got more crap from their respective parties than they did from their opposition parties.

      1. 130. Same as mine. I am also a communist muslim fascist socialist terrorist sympathizer as well. It must have to do with our above average I.Q’s… 😀

      2. I can believe that. He’s certainly miles deeper than the guy who preceded him. Too bad the country can’t do better than both of them, though.

      3. He is still a narcissistic immoral subhuman idiot though, and I would say in this case IQ tests are simply inaccurate measures of real intelligence. However I would love to see the average IQ scores of voters who voted for Ron Paul/Kucinich/Nader/Gabel, and I would venture to guess they are high with various numbers of over 130’s….

        1. Everyone is a racist, and that has it roots in the cellular bacterial levels; politics and racism is merely expressions of gene protection and gene warfare. Get over it you idiot!

      4. An IQ of 130 with no testicles.
I largely agree with Batterytrain. People seemed intoxicated and dumbed down by Barack’s speeches.

  6. That was an exciting night. Maybe the most exciting night in politics of my lifetime. I remember him giving a speech that night that held me in a near trance. I remember calling my parents and sharing the moment with them. Like Robert, his being black isn’t the reason I voted for him(I’d have voted Democrat anyway after 8 years of Bush policies), but it certainly did make me more emotional about the election than I otherwise would’ve been.
I do think it’s unfortunate though that expectations were held unrealistically high for him. I mean liberals were acting like he was the 2nd coming of Christ. There’s no way he could’ve lived up the expectations he had over his head. To his credit, he always said from day one that he has a difficult job ahead of him. Nobody should’ve expected him to part the Red Sea with the wave of a hand. Especially with congressional Republicans that made it their number one agenda to see that he fails as a president, even if it was Pyrrhic victory.
I don’t think he’s been a bad president nor a stellar one. I think we need to be very cautious in judging the legacy of a president based on the month-to-month noise we hear in the news cycle. It will ultimate be historians decades from now that decide his true legacy. We don’t really know the long-term effect of a president’s policies until long after they have left office. There’s absolutely no way to know Obama’s legacy while he’s still in office.

    1. Sometimes Americans get it right the first time, Tulio. Before he left the Presidency, Truman’s popularity dipped into the 20’s. And it should have. He was one of the worst Presidents ever in my book, but now he’s hailed by everyone, especially neo cons, as one o four best Presidents. Bush liked to say when confronted with the reality of his 32% approval rating, “History will vindicate me. Historians will look back and give me a good grade.” Keep dreaming, George. Maybe they will. After all, lots of historians put Reagan in the top 10 now.

  7. He never intended to do public option much less single payer, never intended to re-do NAFTA, never intended to get out of Iraq (was forced out by Maliki) never intended to reduce the Cheney-Bush Patriot Act police state NSA apparatus, as Jonathan Turley outlines, never intended to close Gitmo, voted to bail out the banksters…what more do you need?
He’s a member and a willing puppet of the Elite, and as black nationalist patriot Farrakhan said, our first Jewish president.

I concur. You don’t have to be a conservative or reactionary to think this.
“He would be just as bad as Bush or maybe even worse.”
Okay, no one can be as bad as Bush. Not anyone who could make it to the Presidency anyway. So, strongly disagree.
    Robert:
“I guess I am a classic case. I would have voted for him anyway of course, but the fact that he was Black held extra appeal (also that he was not a nutty Black – instead he was a rather ordinary Black).”
I voted for him because I was anti-McCain, not pro-Obama. I didn’t give a shit whether he was black or not. Maybe if he had been a real black, I would some. That would have been the shit if Martin Luther King had lived and become President.
“I was at a doctor’s office at 8 PM the night he won. The TV was on in the doctor’s office. My Mom called me and said, “It’s over! It was all a bunch of bullshit to me. Obama was, and has always been, status quo to me.
“And that whole city getting up off their couches and marching to the park – wow! It was breathtaking, like you were a part of history. There were some Black people in the doctor’s office, and they were getting emotional, and I found myself actually getting choked up like I wanted to cry.

I would have been like, “Oh shit, boy are they going to be disappointed.” Sure enough, Obama hasn’t done shit for blacks other than stave off some of the Republican advances to gut the domestic budget.
To me, Bill Clinton was the first black President!

    1. Oh yeah, this:
“I have to admit that for a liberal, it sure felt great. It was like our day in the sun.”
I was only happy that the Republicans we’re slaughtered, not that that would produce any humility in them, but fuck them – I love how upset it made them.
“From the 1960′s to the election of Barack, it seemed like the culmination of a movement.”
No, it was the culmination of a corporate shill benefiting from the American Idol mentality in this country. If a minority had been elected President earlier, I’d be inclined to agree some. But 2008? Not impressed.

    2. man!all this prez bashing.doesn’t anyone see what is really going on?the prez is mostly a puppet.if you think hard you will see who runs this country.

    3. Hey, I wrote that wrong. What I meant to say was, “He would be as bad or worse than Bush IF he were allowed to be.”

      1. To Obama’s credit, he doesn’t go along with everything the Republicans want, like Bush did. Obama wants to be a Reagan republican, but that’s not today’s GOP anymore.

  9. Hey Robert are you right now writing anything about the Malaysia airliner that was shot down in the Ukraine? this is really going to escalate things, I don’t like where this might go.

    1. Yes I have been studying it intensively for the past 2 days trying to figure out what happened. The truth is that we still do not know what happened. Either the Ukies shot it down or the Novorussians did. Right now, I am thinking 90% chance Ukies shot it down on purpose as false flag and 10% chance Novorussians shot it down as a mistake.
All of this propaganda is sickening. We haven’t even started the investigation, and no one really has any idea who did this. There is certainly no good, hard, solid evidence that the Novorussians shot it down and in fact, it seems rather dubious. It is repulsive the way they are accusing the Russians already. That’s just wrong.

      1. Who knows if it’s actually a missle that’s responsible? so far nothing is confirmed on this (proper investigation will never happen since the debris field is in a war zone). This is the same airline that has just recently lost a plane that’s impossible to find at the moment, if I’m not mistaken it’s a Boeing 777 in these two incidents, maybe this crash was an accident waiting to happen with this plane and the airline it’s flying for, maybe this plane was doomed to have a mechanical failure that caused it to blow up at the wrong place and time, if that’s so and until the truth is known this tragedy is an early Christmas gift for the propaganda machines at play, spin it as you see fit I guess.

  10. I suppose it is not even proven that it was downed by a missile, but I think it was. It was downed either by a missile from a jet (air to air missile) or by a SAM. I am quite certain this was downed by a SAM, and I think it was a Ukie SAM. However, there is ~10% chance the Novorussians shot it down by mistake.
The media is going crazy saying that the Novorussians have Buks, as if that proves anything. I know they grabbed some Buks recently from a base, but I heard that those Buks are not operational since they don’t have radar, and anyway, there is no one in the Novorussian army who could operate that thing. Even if the Novorussians do have a Buk or two, operational or not, guess what? The Ukies have 35 Buks stationed all over that theater, and they DO know how to operate them. Just because the Novorussians have a Buk or two, operational or not, that proves the Novorussians shot it down. HELL NO.
