So I grew up in Neil Young’s hometown. You heard about this guy everywhere. You heard all these little anecdotes about him. One of my friend’s dad’s went to school with him. I was more punk/heavy metal growing up and never had an appreciation for the guy.
Prior to beating feet outta there I was bartending at a live music club.
I got called in one afternoon because there was European artist touring North America trying to break into the market and doing short notice concerts for local musicians, promoter’s, ‘industry folk’. It wasn’t a huge crowd , I was able to watch most of the show. So she get’s around to
‘I’m so happy to be playing in my hero’s hometown. He has inspire me so much…… yada, yada, yada, blah, blah…..”

Blew me away.
She was smoking hot then, from the vid I was able to find , she held up well. She did it the same way I remember it. Magnificent voice and acoustic guitar. Beautiful.
