On HBD: The Difference Between Me and Steve Sailer

The difference between Sailer and me is that Sailer is a conservative Republican. There’s nothing for Blacks in conservative Republicanism. You can even see it as a Black-hostile politics, though this is often masked. Since the election of Obama though, it is increasingly out in the open.

For a long time I defended Sailer on the charge of racism, because I honestly did not think he was racist. Since the election of Obama, he has frankly gone over the line. Someone like me does not toss around the charge of racism lightly. I think long and hard before I call someone that. But in the last couple of years, yes, I must call Steve Sailer a racist.

He wrote a recent book about Obama that was frankly racist in a multitude of ways. One of the main premises of the book seemed to be that Obama hates Whites and has for most of his life. That’s ridiculous.

Recently he has been harping on the “NAM Recession.” In other words, the recession was caused by niggers and beaners buying houses they could not afford because the government forced kind, loving, sweet, adorable banksters to loan to the worthless NAM’s in order that they not be racist.

The NAM’s were not qualified to buy the homes, but the evil affirmative action, nigger loving, White-hating government forced the tender-hearted banksters to loan the money. Also, the NAM’s were too stupid to figure out the crappy terms of the fraudulent loans so they got deservedly fleeced. In addition, the NAM’s were so financially irresponsible that they went bankrupt because they can’t sensibly manage their money.

I have written a number of pieces in which I explain in detain why this is a pack of stinking lies. There’s no truth to any of it, seriously. It’s a noxious racist charge, and even the Republican Party and the corporate rightwing media like the Wall Street Journal are starting to peddle it lately.

The definition of racism to me is not complaining about this or that group or saying they have some problems or pathologies. Statistics will tell you that plain and simple. Racism is simply more along the lines of is this person hostile to this group or not. Sailer is hostile to Blacks, as are 98% of HBD’ers.

So that’s the difference between Sailer and me. I’m not particularly hostile to Blacks. In fact, I go out of my way to try not to be, though there are always forces pushing me in that direction (Black behavior). Understand that I come from a base of liberalism and Leftism, and we folks are simply not comfortable with racism per se (hostility towards this or that group). We spend most of our Lefty liberal lives trying to avoid this way of thinking. And when we do get into that way of thinking, it makes us very uncomfortable.

Sure, 98% of HBD’ers are racists. Of course they are. That’s why I don’t write about it much. It pisses off the good people on the site and stirs up anti-NAM hostility amongst the already inclined.

I’m not particularly interested in stirring up anti-Black racism.

There’s already way too much of it as it is, it doesn’t do society any good, and Black folks have it rough enough as it is without me piling on and adding to the damage. I see anti-Black racism as bullying. Blacks are like the guy at school that everyone thinks it’s ok to beat up on. And I should join in this party? Don’t think so.

  1. “But in the last couple of years, yes, I must call Steve Sailer a racist.”

Why exactly do you say that? I don’t see much difference in him pre-Obama and now. Also, Sailer is a conservative but he hates the Republican establishment. Certainly he hated Bush.

        1. I believe that he wrote a recent book about Obama that was frankly racist. One of the main premises of the book seemed to be that Obama hates Whites and has for most of his life. That’s ridiculous.

Recently he has been harping on the NAM Recession. IOW, the recession was caused by niggers and beaners buying houses they could not afford because the government forced kind, loving, sweet, adorable banksters to loan to the worthless NAM’s in order that they not be racist The NAM’s were not qualified to buy the homes, but the evil affirmative action, nigger loving, White-hating government forced the tender-hearted banksters to loan the money. I have written a number of pieces in which I explain in detain why this is a pack of stinking lies. There’s no truth to any of it, seriously. It’s a seriously noxious racist charge, and even the Republican Party and the corporate rightwing media like the Wall Street Journal are starting to peddle it lately.

        2. “They haven’t done much to distance themselves from HIspanic or Black underachievement.”

That’s a high wall to climb. Whitey success rests upon so many arbitrary white things. It’s a double credit to Asians, and not all Asians, Hmong don’t do well, neither do Burmese or Thais. It all depends on the metric.

Anyway white success models certainly aren’t ecologically sustainable for most of the world’s people. Native Americans need to survive until whitey disappears, transmutes, or flies off into outer space. Why worry about the BMW and other nonsense.

  2. I think long and hard before I call someone that. But…yes, I must call __________ a racist.

You realize this is the typical pompous, self-righteous liberal way of talking, right? I mean, you know, the kind of people who watched Sidney Poitier movies in the 1960s? Come on, Robert, you’re a radical, a leftist, not some mealy-mouthed liberal. Snap out of it!

So let’s say Steve Sailer is racist. Or maybe he’s not. Whatever. Who the hell cares? I know, I’m a “racist” too (despite the fact that I’d have no problem with my daughter marrying Sidney Poitier), so I would say that. Fine. But to the people who must, after much careful deliberation and with a heavy heart, declare that ____________ is a racist, I say – well, I can’t say it or you’ll ban me.

    1. Radicals call everyone a racist. They call me a racist. I’m trying to do something different here. We are bending over backwards to be friendly and as fair as possible to Blacks on this site.

At base, I am a liberal.

It’s true. I don’t like to call people that because the word is so abused nowadays due to promiscuous use, but some people just deserve it.

      1. Radicals call everyone a racist, but not after “thinking long and hard” and then “must call[ing]” them a racist. That’s liberal talk. I know liberal talk when I hear it. That’s because…it’s because…oh God, I confess! It’s because deep down, underneath my racist, reactionary exterior, I’m a liberal too! I can’t help it, I was raised that way. Even growing up surrounded by ghetto blacks couldn’t eradicate the liberal core of my being. Professor MacDonald tells me it’s all because of my group evolutionary strategy.

Even now, when I’m riding the commuter train and an Arab passenger gets on, I make a bit more room next to me than usual, to show that he/she is welcome to sit down next to me. That’s because I cannot ever be Prejudiced, or far worse, be thought to be Prejudiced. Love me, I’m a liberal.

        1. Aaron, any intellectually responsible person WILL, literally, think long and hard before concluding and stating something like that. You can call it “pompous” or whatever the fuck you please, but it is responsible behavior, and if you don’t recognize that, then the more the fool you.

        2. Professor MacDonald tells me it’s all because of my group evolutionary strategy.

Okay, Aaron, I wasn’t going to bring up the JQ, but since you already have, I might as well.

My question to you is as follows: What made you decide to leave the U.S. for Israel? When did you become a “dual citizen?”

(or did you go all Michael Oren and renounce your U.S. citizenship?)

        3. Look Aaron, calling someone a racist is a serious charge. It’s a word to be tossed around lightly like the Blacks and Leftists do. I get called that myself constantly, and it hurts my feelings, so I’m very careful about calling other people that. It’s so easy to sit back and call Sailer a racist. Everyone does it. So I went and checked out the charge. I read his stuff carefully looking for racism. And I couldn’t really find it. Either he hid it well, or he really wasn’t into that type of thinking. But in the last couple of years, I noticed a change in him.

I’ll only call someone a racist as a last resort if it’s really proven. We really need to stop being so promiscuous with this term. It’s starting to lose all its meaning, and it’s cruel to call people that just because they don’t toe some BS PC line. But let’s get real here for second. There are tons of real, live, honest to God racists in this country. And unfortunately, after we give them the benefit of the doubt, we really need to call them out on this shit.

        4. OK, I get it now: “JQ” = Jewish question. At first I was wondering what my Jew Quotient might possibly be, since I’ve never been tested.

BAG, I don’t want to go into too much autobiography on the Internet, so I’ll just answer that I came to Israel for purely personal, not Jewy, reasons. My Jew-nationalism is purely a result, not a cause, of my living in Israel. And my Buchananite American nationalism, such as it is, is also a result of that, by the way.

Important clarification: I do not have contempt for liberals! Some of my best friends…. I was serious when I said that I’m still a liberal inside, and I really did catch myself acting that way on the train. Towards some aspects of liberalism I have what you might call intellectual contempt, but not moral or emotional contempt.

You other guys are still missing my point. I’m not saying you shouldn’t think long and hard before calling somebody a racist. Maybe you should think long and hard, though I see no reason to announce it. I’m saying, why bother calling Steve Sailer a racist at all, even assuming for the sake of argument that he is one?

Oh, well I thought you were being sarcastic in order to poke fun at the Kevin MacDonald/Occidental Observer crowd, since they believe that all Jews are liberals.

          My mistake.

        6. “Maybe you should think long and hard, though I see no reason to announce it.” — There is plenty of reason to announce it, Aaron. You announce it to state that you are doing it thoughtfully, and not thoughtlessly, in contrast to many others. Lots of people toss out accusations of racism (and a lot of other stuff) casually, thoughtlessly. If you are NOT doing that, then you are quite justified in announcing as much, and perhaps are even obligated to do so.

  3. Not sure whether to offer you a hug or swing for a hay maker. Thanks for not being a racist(I guess), but HBD based race realism, still by virtue of the fundamental belief that blacks are scientifically proven to be stupid and animalistic, is hostile to blacks, even if coming from a lefty. It’s still not respect, it’s sympathy. What could be more insulting? While the right hates our guts and treats us like the wimpy kid, the left patronizes us and treats us like the retarded kid.

    1. I don’t agree that Blacks are stupid and animalistic. I don’t use words like that. However, the IQ scores are lower than others. This is indisputable. Now, I would not look at those scores and call them stupid. I would say they are lower than others.

Their crime rates are off the charts, in general, the world over. This is indisputable. Does that mean they are animalistic? Not sure. It means they commit tons of crime.

I really don’t see why such things are so controversial. They’re as clear as day to anyone who will open their eyes. Honest.

      1. Thanks for being polite and avoiding violent language in your deconstruction of blacks. Contrversial, not in the sense that those things are up for debate, but definitely controversial in the idea that my skin color says I’m likely stupid or a sociopath(or at least substantially more likely than anyone else). And don’t try to sell me on penis size, singing dancing, or running skills. The final assessment of a person like this is that they’re not really human. Thus my very humanity is in question.

        1. Let me ask you something. What if HBD is simply the truth? Then what? What do we do? Is it racist to simply tell the truth. Because this is where I am coming from. HBD is the last thing in the world I want to believe as a Leftie, but after studying it for decades, I come to the reluctant conclusion that it may well be true. I don’t see why I should deny the truth just because it’s ugly.

        2. because at worst it degrades the human value of an entire people, it’s a perfect justification eugenics, genocide, racial seperatism, etc. Suddenly, mass expulsions, mass killings, or even race based chattel slavery become “practical” solutions for dealing with people. At best it means there’s a permanent underclass of human beings that only exist to cared for by others, incapable of self sufficiencience, state formation, but let’s at least let’em live, basically a race of zoo animals complete with PETN(people for the ethical treatment of niggers) support.

        3. because at worst it degrades the human value of an entire people, it’s a perfect justification eugenics, genocide, racial seperatism, etc. Suddenly, mass expulsions, mass killings, or even race based chattel slavery become “practical” solutions for dealing with people.

This is true, all of things can follow from HBD, correct. But if it’s true, it’s true and that’s all there is to it. And those things need not necessarily follow from HBD. It’s possible to believe in HBD and have a civilized society.

Why does it degrade entire races to discuss the differences between them, assuming that they exist (and apparently they do). I don’t get it. Does it degrade different lines of dogs or cats to discuss the ways in which they are different? We are just mammals.

At best it means there’s a permanent underclass of human beings that only exist to cared for by others, incapable of self sufficiencience, state formation, but let’s at least let’em live, basically a race of zoo animals complete with PETN(people for the ethical treatment of niggers) support.

Well, are Blacks a permanent underclass or are they not? You are the one that is bringing that up, not me. Are you saying that Blacks are incapable of state formation? Have Blacks not formed some states in this world.

You are correct though, HBD does imply a permanent Black underclass at least under hardcore capitalism. That’s one reason why I am a socialist. Also if HBD is true, it’s not Blacks’ fault that they fall behind, and the more genetically gifted are obligated to share some of their wealth with those who did poorly in the genetic lottery.

        4. Socialism negates HBD. This is why I read you man.

C’mon, HBD is real. Why is intelligence not part of the rest of our evolutionary package along with height, skin color, eye color, hair color, shoulder size, lactose intolerance, etc? No one can argue otherwise.

Your comment here bears repeating forever.

        5. I’ll start by pointing out that if you can’t see how such an existence( living off the public dole) is degrading to the dignity of man, then you must not fully understand human dignity, which includes self-reliance, free agency, etc. You’re right, the first part of that doesn’t have to follow, but it has, and sometimes does; thankfully we live in a society where not every philosophical/scientific perspective will inform a policy decision. And I’m not going to fight with on economic systems, I’m simply not well versed enough in that area. We’re not simply discussing differences, in western society it’s philosophically impossible to simply discuss differences without eventually assigning a hierarchy. This is not to say that racism is natural; but tribalism and self-exhaltation certainly are. I was giving a best case/worst case analysis. Reality tends to fall somewhere in the middle, a la the NC eugenics case, where “We(the state) will give you what you need, and take care of you, but you must forfeit your human right to procreate.” And yes, currently blacks are a persistent(I won’t say permanent) underclass.

        6. as I stated in post, a large part of the dignity of man is self-reliance, free agency, self-determination, etc. As robert infers, there are people(and large segments of particular racial groups) which are simply incapable of this. You know what other species is like that, the domestic dog.

  4. You’re not a Racist. Racists are narrow-minded, uptight and humorless. HBD is this, but they flaunt advanced scientific degrees and statistical analysis in order to differentiate themselves from Bubba in the trailer park. “Same difference,” as people say.

  5. Dear Robert
No white person should hates blacks because blacks are a disadvantaged race. As a group, they drew fewer good cards form the genetic lottery that whites, yellows, reds or browns. To hate or ridicule them for that is to add insult to injury. It is true that blacks cause more than their fair share of troubles, but they also HAVE more than their fair share of troubles. Let’s be easy on them.
I agree with you that a lot of American conservatives show a hostility toward Obama which is more than partisan hatred of Dems. It can only be explained by their resentment of the fact that a mulatto (not a black or African-American) is sitting in the White House.

    Regards. James

    1. But to an extent, most people can’t fight fires, fight crime and educate themselves auto-didactically, for that about 90% of the populace will certainly be on the public dole, but feeding oneself, staying out of prison and raising kids should be an independent endeavor

  6. As I pointed out before, to point out differences between any two things means holding one superior to the other. Racism is 1) the hatred of other races or 2) the belief that the races are inferior/superior to each other in a specific category. In this case, it’s a well-established fact that other races, in general, have higher IQ’s than Blacks. It’s also fairly well-established that Blacks are the elite athletes of the world. This is racism under one of it’s definitions. Under our language, a non-racist HBD’er is a contradiction in terms and it gets people mad/depressed that they’re mistaken for “Bubba” but, hey, that’s just how we use our words.

The only way to avoid this situation is to create a separate word or limit the definition. Sexism, for example, means that one sex is superior to the other but not hatred for a specific sex. Misogyny/misandry entail hatred. So you could create a word like, I dunno, “Misethnogy” or something lol and “racism” won’t be so upsetting.

  7. There may well be a genetic predisposition towards (or against) violence in some groups. They have already uncovered a “warrior gene” that occurs in higher frequency among the Maori people of New Zealand, for instance. I wonder how a hypothetical “race” with a genetic tendency towards violence would react to criticism of their behavior. Would they ignore it? Try to change the topic of the conversation? Rationalize their behavioral patterns?

    1. Resort to physical violence (seriously considering it, small black brain running out of intellectual options, might as well play to strengths)

  8. I don’t believe we can solve the problem of racism until we put a Black guy in a very powerful position. Further, I would like to point out that Black people cannot be racist. Not until a Black person is in a position of power can that individual be racist.

  9. Tough call. Sailer and the paleos are swimming against a demographic tide. The full power of which I believe neither Sailer and paleos have ever really appreciated. He seems kind of humbled to me, like he knows the battle he waged is lost. I believe he actually wanted to turn MSM away from PC, and make coin as he did so. He succeeded in neither, AFAICT.

Yeah, Sailer’s instincts are racist. But whose isn’t? The great thing, truth isn’t racist. Even if the truth is not fair to all races in every way, it still isn’t racist. It’s possible to be truthful, unfair, and not be racist. It’s very common in the US today to be untruthful, make a play at fairness, and be a racist. Or, those who say they are the least racist are often the most racist of all. Dumb liberals, lying Jews, ESPN, race-baiting blacks, TV talk show hosts, NPR. Who actually takes on these numbskulls? Sailer!

  10. I have had that same opinion for a while now, unfortunately with hbd it will inadvertantly attract many racists but for experienced commentators.it.is not that difficult to.differentiate scientific curiosity(people with a background in biology before considering its racial implications)and stormfront frequenters who appreciate science so long as.it may appear to validate their prejudices.the distinction is important to make.

  11. Steve Sailer reminded me of a lot of people I know…

just some mildly cynical, mildly depressed, mildly intellectual middle aged White guy.
but he is very well respected.

What about Jared Taylor? I periodically post something ridiculous he’s done, and this time he’s attempting to blame the Black mayor of Flint for the water crisis (as opposed to the White governor) the problem, is Flint had a White mayor in the fall of 2014.
    Oops!
he’s basically just spewing retarded nonsense as “red meat” for the Trumpkins and pathologically lying to support his cause.
