American Renaissance’s Third Rails: The Jews and Capitalism

At American Renaissance, the premier White nationalist site, it’s long been known that you can’t say anything about the Jews or Israel. This is probably for the best, because WN’s are fiercely anti-Semitic, and the comments would turn into a Nazi hatefest pretty quickly.

Jared Taylor, the publisher, has entered into an alliance with friendly Jews and has decided not to criticize Jews in the context of WN. This is interesting, because Jews are one thing that WN’s can’t seem to quit talking about. He has been criticized by both sides for this – from the anti-Semitic WN’s, as some kind of a Jew sellout, and by Ian Jobling, strangely enough, for being an anti-Semite himself.

Distancing himself from anti-Semitism and welcoming Jews to WN was probably a smart thing for Taylor to do. Whatever else people call him, they can’t call him a Nazi anti-Semite.

We have long heard that criticism of Jews or Israel is not allowed on Amren, and a friend recently confirmed this for me.

But he also told me that criticism of capitalism is also not allowed. This makes sense, as Taylor is a conservative Republican who promotes the Republican Party, even the craziest wings, or possibly, especially the craziest wings, and denigrates the Democratic Party. That’s part of his agenda on the site. He’s also a strong supporter of capitalism. He’s a highly paid corporate consultant.

I don’t think this is going to limit Amren’s appeal, as few WN’s seem to be very friendly to any kind of socialism these days. Most seem to be fanatical capitalists, even Libertarians. This is hard to figure, but the Libertarians are on record for getting rid of all anti-discrimination laws, as that is perhaps the one thing that all WN’s can agree on.

This isn’t hard to understand at all. It seems much simpler to convince modern (White) people that individuals should be treated as individuals (the bulk inequality of academic outcomes among groups is for example not the result of inequality of opportunity, so why do we use this as a yardstick?) than to apply it so that White people get boosts when under preforming in some fields too.

I used to be a social democrat, but ultimately my feelings of ultimate betrayal by elites (politicians importing third worldwide for votes, capitalists for their profits) that I’ve ceased completely to identify myself with any government, I no longer believe it is easier for people to control the government (a vulgar tyrant of appearance and false virtue) than it is to control the open market (an ever-expanding Darwinian nightmare).
In essence personal exposure to dysfunctional diversity lowered my trust in society.

Why should Europeans be genetically cuckolding themselves by (on net) paying for the reproduction of foreigners? But the other problem is that if we went with Libertarianism, combined with our advanced technology (especially reproductive technology), this would eventually lead to selective pressures to create Homo Economicus who will be very efficient at working in the open market and will use surplus for reproduction. Libertarianism without advanced technology just plain can’t work.

No ethnicity could compete with Homo Economicus and he will eventually deivate from all that we value, no ethnicity can survive the Welfare state plus unlimited immigration and dysgenics effects of current welfare practices will turn us into meatbags capable of voting for politicans that will feed them.

    Humanity is fucked.

    1. Not really, Whites are socialists as best I can tell in most of the world. They are in all of Europe, in Russia, in the Caucasus, in New Zealand, Australia and Canada. It is only in the US and Latin America that we find this strange White outlier of the White rightwing fanatic socialist-hating capitalist monster. As far as Whites go, Americans are not exactly the norm.

    2. And your statement about Europeans is not correct. Europeans continue to support socialism, last time I checked anyway. There has been no mass movement away from socialism in Europe, except maybe in the Baltics. The Baltics went to radical free market economics and they got so creamed that it’s not even funny. Their economies got massacred, which is what happens when you go radical free market, pretty much.

  2. I’ve been into libertarianism and sort of convinced by its idea, but after talking to libertarians intensively I’ve discovered that these people are very atypical human beings. I thus believe libertarianism stirred my curiosity initially, but not anymore. The silly idea that Walhalla will come as long as all laws are revoked makes me ashamed to have ever contemplated it. Why did I buy this shit?

My political outlook is that Western Europeans and Americans sort of lucked out on many things and that the people in charge — as long as they’re not controlled by lobby groups — usually do a decent job. Not a great job, but not bad either. I feel lucky to have been born in the wealthy part of the world. Libertarians can’t acknowledge much good in the state whatsoever. (Easy talk if you’re not living in war-torn Bosnia, lawless Somalia or war-ridden Congo where no laws and order existed for a brief period.)

AmRen taps into the anti-immigration sentiment; a sentiment based on very real world worries of normal people. However, I don’t want to associate with all these racialists, because their fatalism and apocalyptic ideas make me feel depressed. In fact, they strike me as similar types as libertarians, in their atypical personality profile.

    1. That’s the way that I feel.

U really don’t like to associate with racialists either. They make me feel bad, and frankly, their shit starts rubbing off on me. I allow them to post on here, but it’s not something I identify with. I can’t even identify with socialist racialists, to the extent that they even exist in the first place. I don’t like their racism. It makes me sick. What’s funny is that people are always screaming that I’m a racist. If that’s so, how come I can’t stand other racists then?

  3. “What’s funny is that people are always screaming that I’m a racist. If that’s so, how come I can’t stand other racists then?”

There’s a differences between looking at the world honestly, i.e. acknowleding the influence of race in daily life and making it the focus point of every discussion. I also find it distasteful to see barely literate Youtube commenters referencing Richard Lynn’s findings. Group differences matter for groups, not individuals.

It’s more signalling: hey, I’m a White male, I’m worthy!

  4. Taylor could benefit from a little of this:

The Conservative Revolutionary movement was a German national conservative movement, prominent in the years following the First World War. The Conservative Revolutionary school of thought advocated a “new” conservatism and nationalism that was specifically German, or Prussian in particular. Like other conservative movements in the same period, they sought to put a stop to the rising tide of communism, partially they advocated their own brand of “conservative socialism”.

[edit] HistoryThe Conservative Revolutionaries based their ideas on organic rather than materialistic thinking, on quality instead of quantity, and on Volksgemeinschaft (“folk-community”) rather than class conflict and ochlocracy. These writers produced a profusion of radical nationalistic literature that consisted of war diaries, combat fictional works, political journalism, manifestos, and philosophical treatises outlining their ideas for the transformation of German cultural and political life. Outraged by liberalism and egalitarianism, and rejecting the commercial culture of industrial and urban civilization, they advocated the destruction of the liberal order, by revolutionary means if necessary, in order to make way for the establishment of a new order, founded on conservative principles. The movement had a wide influence among many of Germany’s most gifted youth, universities, and middle classes.

I wonder if Taylor’s meeting got cancelled as a result of too much runaway capitalist
attitude on the part of too many Whites.

  5. I think it’s been said that one reason the US rejects socialism is that the White majority see most socialist measures as just another big subsidy for minorities. I’m pragmatic about socialism, knowing that it’s essential for, say, defense, and completely inappropriate for, say, shoe manufacturing, and that things in between are debatable, and might be differently appropriate in different times and places.

And you’re called a racist because you’re not a doctrinaire egalitarian. For most of our opinion formers in government/media/academia, those are the only two possibilities.

  6. Jared Taylor’s a libertarian kool-aid drinker himself (although a rationally, if deplorably selfishly, self-interested one). Imo, views like his, when they come from habitual non-thinkers who’ve only recently been jolted into thinking about the world as a result of some racial awakening, tend to stem from “race is wrong with society, therefore everything is wrong with society.” So they go picking back through history to find the juncture where it “all went wrong” and there try to take an alternate path. That’s why you keep reading conspiratorial complaints about tax acts, “sound money,” the gold standard, or vague longing about “agrarianism” and similar bullshit.

    Maciano,

I also find it distasteful to see barely literate Youtube commenters referencing Richard Lynn’s findings. Group differences matter for groups, not individuals.

That’s a good point. Nationalist assholes use Lynn as a weapon. Blanket silence on IQ only exacerbates this tendency because it makes it seem like opponents have no quality counterpoints, which is certainly not true.

  7. Operation mess with the heads of AmRenners by having a coherent thought process has now begun.

I got a few comments removed saying Trump was bad because ‘he is against high-IQ Northeast Asian immigration’………………sort of funny that the science AmRen pushes and their political agenda aren’t compatible.

  8. American Renaissance was always kind of sketchy (Jared Taylor was basically David Duke with a few token Jews, obsessed with this exaggerated European-American Male discrimination, not about actual Scientific discussion on HBD), but since recently it has basically become White Nationalist Nordicst central. It’s a rag at this point.
