McArthyist “Academic Bill of Rights” Laws

Repost from the old site.

Here’s one in Colorado and the effects it is having. Wow. Professors getting death threats. Professors sleeping with shotguns under their pillows. Students filing complaints against professors and trying to get them fired for political reasons. A list of subjects that university professors are not allowed to discuss (WTH?)

Threats of “quotas” for hiring conservative professors and threats of money cutoffs if quotas are not met. Professors quitting their jobs and living in fear. Whew. Jesus Christ man.

By the way, Jewish Zionist ultra-sleazeballs David Horowitz and Daniel Pipes have been behind a lot of this shit. And US Jews have been behind some of the worst examples of academic censorship and retaliation seen in recent days – the refusal of Yale to hire Juan Cole, and refusal of De Paul University to give the excellent scholar Norman Finkelstein tenure, followed by a monetary settlement and his subsequent resignation.

  1. Excellent post Robert.

It’s about time this issue was addressed. We’re not immune to the Tribe’s influence in acedemia here in Canada either. At York University, Proff David Noble was the target of a sleaze campaign when he attempted to expose zionist influence at York Uni.

“”The professor made headlines in Toronto in 2004 when he handed out a memo listing the names of directors of the York University Foundation, the school’s fundraising arm, and their links to pro-Israel organizations.”””

Daniel Pipes is truly a turd too.

    1. American academia is a joke, plain and simple, whether it’s post-modernist turds or neocon nuts like Horowitz.

      1. Norman Finkelstein was denied tenure because his scholarship lacked professionalism not because of his actual views.

        1. Norman Finkelstein was denied tenure because his scholarship lacked professionalism not because of his actual views.

Do you have evidence for this?

Last time I checked, his feud with Alan Dershowitz played a major part in the decision to deny him tenure, because most of the DePaul faculty supported his bid for tenure.

        2. Gay Area Guy
Peter Novick, the author of “The
holocaust in American Life,” which was Finkelstein’s motivation for The Holocaust Industry also lamented about Finkelstein’s lack of professionalism and Academic ethics. For example, In Finkelstein refers to Elie Wiesel as “the resident clown of the holocaust circus.” in The Holocaust Industry. It seems Finkelstein is more concerned with maintaining his bad ass persona than producing scholarly work. No self respecting University would or should endorse this kind of behavior.

        3. I think the main objection people have to Finkelstein is that he’s a polemicist. Many of the facts that he lists in the “Holocaust Industry” are correct (though I disagree with his views on the U.S./Israel relationship).

Finkelstein just has a tendency to say inflammatory/badass things (for example, saying that Abe Foxman comes straight out of Der Sturmer )

He can be a serious scholar, but he often comes across as more of a polemicist.

  2. Once in awhile, I find you in my stats.
    Hello.

I see you really hate Horowitz.. He is a traitor against the leftist cause…
By the way, Jewish Zionist ultra-sleazeballs David Horowitz and Daniel Pipes have been behind a lot of this shit.
In Brooklyn, Horowitz spoke at the Brooklyn college, he had to have a police escort.
A left wing Bolshevik professor on the other hand, does not need a police escort.

    1. The Mad Jewess
Horowitz and Pipes do more damage to themselves than any potential terrorist could.

By the way, do you refer to anyone you dislike as a “leftist bolshevik”? That’s stooping to the lowest level.

      1. Horowitz is an ADMITTED X-Bolshevik. You have a problem with that? That is what the left is; BOLSHEVIK.

Horowitz and Pipes do terrorist damage? ROFL!
Who did Horowitz murder lately? Or Pipes for that matter? I see you are a ‘gay-state girl’.

Its a damned shame that leftist Jews helped your cause, look how you are to them.
        Sickening.
        Peace
        OUT.

        1. I call my self Gay State Girl because I am from the Gay State not because I am gay. Finkelstein is a first rate fag and he ultimately sacrificed any career he could have had to be a tireless advocate for a race which persecutes his kind. These leftists are odd creatures.

  3. And US {LEFTIST} Jews & non-Jews have been behind some of the worst examples of academic censorship and retaliation seen in recent days

    Sorry, you needed a correction.
Where is the outrage of Christians not being able to say a MINUTE prayer in TX? They had to go to court so they could pray at their graduation.
    Where is the outrage.
People are tired of the Bolshevik brainwashing.
I applaud Horowitz stopping left wingers of their serial hatred of America, from the TUSD (Tuscon) all the way to colleges. He should be the one stopping this crap, he was a HUGE part of America being totally brainwashed by Bolshevik ‘academia’.

    Good Day, Mr. Lindsay 😉

“””For example, In Finkelstein refers to Elie Wiesel as “the resident clown of the holocaust circus.” in The Holocaust Industry.””””

That book was aimed at the general audience where every author has the right to express their opinions, no matter how pointed. Finklestein is a damn fine scholar and meticulously researches his topics. I still have my copy of ‘image and reality’ and I still believe it is a vastly superior book to Chomsky’s ‘Fateful Triangle’ (which I also own).

    1. Everyone has the right to express his or her opinion, but the institutions that they are affiliated with have no obligation to regard their work as scholarly or endorse it.

      1. You’ve defined what you believe is lack of proffesionalism, but was that the reason stated when Norman was given the boot? He hasn’t violated any rules such as plagarism ect… Similarly I’ve heard lots of acedemics criticize Bernard Lewis for being prejudiced against his subject of expertise (islam) yet no harm has come to him.

        1. Dota
Professors are expected to maintain a diplomatic tone when presenting their work. Otherwise they embarass the institution that they are respresenting. Got it?

    1. That’s what I was about to post. This is just a dust up between a bunch of fucking Trots. Neither side has any love of free speech that isn’t their own.

    2. @Rex May

      “Stalinist academics” LOL!

Since when have there been Stalinist academics.

Since the end of the Cold War the CIA and western intelligence had recruited Trotskyite Communist in academia, media, journalist, etc.

It wasn’t until the 1980’s that there was real historical analysis and research on the USSR and especially the Stalinist era with the likes of Getty and especially Wheatcroft although even they don’t factor in things like ethnic composition of the USSR, organised crime, serious civil war between the Trotskyite (Lenin, Trotsky, Kruscheav, etc) and national Communist factions and foreign conspiracies against the USSR prior to WW2 like Prometheism.

Nationalist anti-Stalinist historical propaganda is pushed forth by the major Universities in Europe and the US linked to major international think tanks and institutions.

Even the in Russia the Stalinist “research” is conducted by NED funded Memorial organisation who have inflated the number killed under Stalin’s rule to astronomical levels.

  5. I suppose things may have changed over the years, but my experience is that academics tended to be pro-Soviet, so I think of them as Stalinists, as opposed to the Trotskyite neocons, who were anti-Soviet (or maybe more to the point, anti-Russian). Since the Soviets disappeared, things are a little less clear.

LOL you really hate Norman don’t you?

    From wiki:

‘According to Noam Chomsky, the controversy that surrounded Finkelstein’s research caused a delay in his earning his Ph.D. at Princeton University. Chomsky wrote in Understanding Power that Finkelstein “literally could not get the faculty to read [his dissertation]” and that Princeton eventually granted Finkelstein his doctorate only “out of embarrassment [for Princeton]” but refused to give him any further professional backing.’

He got into troule for criticizing ‘From time immorial.’

Intent is in the eye of the beholder. Your position seems to appear weak and without credibility.

    1. No I find him entertaining and amusing. I am certainly not a fan of the holocaust industry or sanctimonious holocaust worship. I just think he could be more effective if he adopted a more serious note.

I know he’s a fag but I think he’s a sexy bastard and would love to engage in “jewish continuity” with him.

      1. I’m certainly not a fan of Dershowitz, but only Finkelstein’s juvenile attititude and lack of seriousness could give him any credibility.

      2. Hurling random insults is the first sign of weakness and I’m no schoolgirl. Read: my admiration for John Taylor Gatto.

  7. “Your position seems to appear weak and without credibility.”

Your position appears to be weak and lacks credibility… for some reason my grammar fails when I type from work

    1. I like John Taylor Gatto as well but find his work unsubstantiated, so I can only appreciate his humor and regard his observations about the school system as interesting thought experiements but can only take them with a grain of salt and not regard them with seriousness.
