The "Nazis and Soviets Were Friends" Lie

Wade writes:

The hatred between Nazi and Bolshevik was just a surface conflict. The real underlying conflict was between German and Russian which had been going on for long before WWII. 30 million dead is just a result of more advanced technology and policies based on Nazi race hatred.

In the beginning of WWII the Nazis and communists had actually signed a pact. When Hitler invaded the northern part of Poland, the Soviets went into the south. Hitler eventually turned east not because he didn’t trust Bolshevism, but because he didn’t trust the Soviet Union (the new Russian state).

You can’t have it both ways. Fascists and the Left have always been the deadliest of enemies. Sure, there are some crossover 3rd Position type groups like National Bolsheviks, but those are based on a faulty reading of history. You have to pick one or the other. Are you a fascist choosing the Right or an anti-fascist on the Left. You can’t order both. Fascists and the Left don’t hate each other just because they think alike and are having a lover’s quarrel. They really are polar opposite ideologies in many ways. Fascism is best seen as a “popular far rightwing authoritarian movement against the Left.” I’ve spent a lot of time on Left sites. One group they will not abide is the fascists. I’ve also been on a fascist sites. What they hate more than anything else is the Left. They want to kill us. This is complete nonsense about the Nazis and Soviets being allies. The Nazis raison d etre was the wipe Bolshevism off the face of the Earth. They were an anti-Communist party to the core. They put people in the camps in this order: 1. Communists 2. Socialists 3. Trade unionists 4. (Last) Jews If you read Hitler’s writings and those of other top Nazis, it’s all about the danger of Bolshevism to Europe and how it had to be wiped out. The Jews were tied in with Bolshevism, so that is why the Jews were targeted. They were out to wipe Judeo-Bolshevism off the face of the Earth. All the other fascists were like this too. Their deadly enemies were the Communists, socialists and union members everywhere, all through Europe. There was a hot war in Spain. When fascists came to power in Europe everywhere in WW2, they immediately went after the Communists. Rightwingers the world over supported the fascists, including the Nazis, as the biggest, baddest Commie killers that ever lived. Stalin knew that Hitler was out to wipe out the USSR from the very start. That was the reason for the breakneck collectivization and industrialization, and frankly for the paranoid purges of the 1937 – Stalin suspected a Nazi plot to overthrow him. The 1940 pact was just a means of buying time temporarily in the war that Stalin knew was going to happen. The US and UK had been egging Hitler from 1938-1941, trying to get him to attack the USSR and take them out. In 1938 Chamberlain gave Hitler Austria not for peace in our time but as deal for Hitler taking out the Soviets. For a long time, rightwingers in the US and UK had been hoping to use and control Hitler long enough so that he could be used as a weapon against the USSR. When Hitler first came to power in 1933, the NY Times praised him as an anti-Communist. If the Left loved fascists so much, why was there a deadly hot war in Spain? Mussolini came to power as a coup against a resurgent Left in Italy. In the early 1920’s, landless peasants were rioting in the streets and marching in the fields all over Italy. The rich use fascism as a last ditch effort to save capitalism in the face of an overwhelming threat from the Left. The postwar fascists of Latin America, the Philippines, Fiji, Ethiopia, Morocco, Indonesia, Turkey, Greece, Zaire, Spain, Portugal, Iran and many other places were admirers of Hitler, Mussolini and all of the other European fascists. The Indian Hindutva fascists hate no one so much as the Left and also admire Hitler. Fascism is all about “exterminate the Left.” The conflict is more nationalism versus internationalism than anything else, but it’s also about wealth and priveleges. Fascists declare the class war dead in the name of class solidarity, but then it goes on nonetheless. All classes are locked into position forever as part of the eternal blood and soil national pact. The rich are rich, the poor are poor, and that’s that. Especially after WW2, rightwing authoritarianism and fascism has been all about everything for the rich and corporations and screw the people. As the class war grinds the masses into the dirt, the fascists march them off to anti-Communist rallies and have them wave flags. They seek to negate the class struggle but prioritizing nationalism over class. With the cloak of nationalism, they seek to make the class struggle seem to disappear under the flag of the nation.

  1. There was a populist strain within Nazism, represented by the SA headed by Ernst Roem, who actually believed in socializing the economy, divesting the big capitalists of their property. The German industrialists — Krupp, et all — conspired with Hitler and his henchmen to have Roem and 200 of his top officers to murdered in the infamous “Knight of the Long Knives” in 1934. Thereafter, the big capitalists were among Hitler’s strongest supporters.

  2. If you read Kevin MacDonald’s recent articles on Occidental Observer about Solzhenitysn, you’ll see that the USSR was most certainly NOT a “Slavic” state. It was ruled by a hostile Jew elite, much like the US today. Therefore the German-Soviet war should not be seen as a war between Slavs and Germans.

  3. Glad you brought this topic up Robert which is based on a phoney interpretation of the M-R pact and blown out of all proportions.
Don’t have time now but will comment later.

  4. It is pretty obvious allied powers of Britain and France were pushing Germany and Japan to attack the USSR prior to WW2 hoping they would eliminate each other which they pretty much did although they expected Germany to win.
The MR pact which has been totally distorted which is alleged to be a secret agreement to divide Poland which there is nothing about this in the secret protocols.
It mentions a sphere of influence once war between Germany and Poland broke out border region agreed on which would threaten the Soviets border.
Once the Polish state collapsed and fled to neighbouring neutral Romania and the Soviets had no Polish government to negotiate with Soviet forces entered Poland to stop a potential German advance to its border.

Hitler had written an unpublished sequel to Miens Kampf in 1928 specifically outlining his foreign policy objectives which was discovered after the war in 1945 by a US army officer and stored in the Nazi national archives in Washington until it was discovered by German-born Jewish American historian Gerhard Weinberg in 1958.
Unable to find a US publisher for the book it was first published in Germany in 1961 and not published in the US until 2003.
“There are a number of similarities and differences between Zweites Buch and Mein Kampf. As in Mein Kampf, Hitler declared that the Jews were his eternal and most dangerous opponents. As in Mein Kampf, Hitler outlined what the German historian Andreas Hillgruber has called his Stufenplan (“stage-by-stage plan”). Hitler himself never used the term Stufenplan, which was coined by Hillgruber in his 1965 book Hitlers Strategie. Briefly, the Stufenplan called for three stages. In the first stage, there would be a massive military build-up, the overthrow of the “shackles” of the Treaty of Versailles, and the forming of alliances with Fascist Italy and the British Empire. The second stage would be a series of fast, “lightning wars” in conjunction with Italy and Britain against France and whichever of her allies in Eastern Europe — such as Czechoslovakia, Poland, Romania and Yugoslavia — chose to stand by her. The third stage would be a war to obliterate what Hitler considered to be the “Judeo-Bolshevik” regime in the Soviet Union.
In contrast to Mein Kampf, in Zweites Buch Hitler added a fourth stage to the Stufenplan. He announced that, around 1980, the final struggle for world domination would take place between the United States and the now Greater Germany allied with the British Empire. Zweites Buch also offers a different perspective on the United States than that outlined in Mein Kampf. In the latter, Hitler declared that Germany’s most dangerous opponent on the international scene was the Soviet Union; In Zweites Buch, Hitler declared that for immediate purposes, the Soviet Union was still the most dangerous opponent, but that in the long-term, the most dangerous potential opponent was the United States.”

Germany up until outbreak of war with Poland was conspiring with each other to attack the USSR to support separatist groups within the USSR.

  6. “Regarding the timing of German rapprochement, many historians agree that the dismissal of Litvinov, whose Jewish ethnicity was viewed unfavorably by Nazi Germany, removed an obstacle to negotiations with Germany.[52][219][220][221][222][223][224][225] Stalin immediately directed Molotov to “purge the ministry of Jews.”[226][227][228] Given Litvinov’s prior attempts to create an anti-fascist coalition, association with the doctrine of collective security with France and Britain, and pro-Western orientation[229] by the standards of the Kremlin, his dismissal indicated the existence of a Soviet option of rapprochement with Germany.[230][231] Likewise, Molotov’s appointment served as a signal to Germany that the USSR was open to offers.”

Yes, in theory the Germans and Russians could have created a Eurasian Empire.
Of course Bob writes “They seek to negate the class struggle but prioritizing nationalism over class. With the cloak of nationalism, they seek to make the class struggle seem to disappear under the flag of the nation. “ whereas creating a cross class unity which is fair, itself negates “class struggle” which is both unnecessary and debilitating. Moroever, the premise for example that the White American working class must feel a real affinity with the Chinese worker in order to protect America’s own working class interest… is a non-starter.

  7. Robert Lindsay says:
“As the class war grinds the masses into the dirt, the fascists march them off to anti-Communist rallies and have them wave flags. My comment:
At this point what should the agenda and strategy of the left be seeing as the proletariat in America have been rallying in favor of their own exploitation?

  8. Rob, you wrote that fascism and communism are polar opposites. Wouldn’t neoliberalism/libertarianism be more fitting as a polar opposite to communism? After all, both fascism and communism are collectivist, although not in the same way. You should keep in mind that those postwar leaders you mentioned were NOT fascists, they were just CIA neoliberal puppet dictators. True fascists are NOT in favor of neoliberalism/libertarianism.

  9. I forgot about this EU/Soros funded documentary called the Soviet Story that equates Communism with Nazism and that they work together to kill Jews in the Holocaust quite a feet that they were able to cover up that fact for so long given the fact that Jews were highly represented in the Communist government and army during WW2 and were allied partisans against fascist forces and heads of regional Communist groups.
Interesting that Soros financed it as he is both Jewish, a Nazi collaborator and a Marxist studying under and basing his Open Society philosophy under former Frankfurt School professor Karl Popper at the London School of Economics.

Part of the post USSR propaganda effort to expand the US/British Empire into Eurasia.

    1. It was a non-aggression pact under which the Soviet Union and Nazi Germany each pledged to remain neutral in the event that either nation were attacked by a third party. It remained in effect until 22 June 1941, when Germany started its invasion of the Soviet Union, called Operation Barbarossa.
In addition to stipulations of non-aggression, the treaty included a secret protocol dividing Northern and Eastern Europe into German and Soviet spheres of influence, anticipating potential “territorial and political rearrangements” of these countries. Thereafter, Germany and the Soviet Union invaded their respective sides of Poland, dividing the country between them.

Spheres of influence outlining and invisible border that would threaten each others security in the case of war broke out in Poland a buffer state which it did and the state collapsed leaving with the government fleeing abroad into neutral Romania it was only then 2 weeks after war between Poland and Germany did the Soviets intervene in Poland.
A non-aggression pact is not an alliance.

  10. I agree. I don’t think people know the whole story with regards to Stalin. He wasn’t really a monster, but simply reacting to outside threats. Also, of course in the USA he would be badly portrayed, considering that the press is a tool of the business owners.
