What Sent Me Over the Edge About Obama

Obama is beginning the dismantling of Social Security. That does it. That’s the last straw. This is the beginning of the end for SS and the entire safety net. That’s what sent me over the edge. I’ve been supporting Obama all along, albeit with less enthusiasm.I’ve been reading the livid Obama haters all along, and frankly I always thought they were nutty liberals and Leftists. The nutty Left hates all Democrats in office as rightwing sellouts. So all that talk made me yawn as usual. But this tax cut deal finally did it, and I’ve thrown in my lot with the Obama haters. He’s gone completely insane since the 2010 elections. I don’t know about you, but Social Security and the safety net are things that I am willing to fight like a wildcat to the bitter end for. If you’re itching to see SS and the safety net torn up, the truth is you don’t belong on this board. You notice I’m not blasting Republicans. Everyone knows they’re scumbags. That’s like blasting Al Qaeda. Obama is worse. He’s like your best friend who betrayed you and turned into your worst enemy. Or your wive or gf cheating on you and then laughing about it. Or a great relationship that suddenly turns into an abusive nightmare, with your gf cackling the whole while that you have nowhere else to go because you can’t get another woman. There’s a real pain and rage of betrayal thing here. That’s what you’re seeing in all of these livid posts.

  1. I am by no means defending Obama, and if I were an American I would bash him as vigorously as you are, but maybe the reason he didn’t become the FDR we were all hoping he would become was that he is either consciously or sub-consciously afraid of getting assassinated by the real powers that be if he really stands up to them.

If he was afraid of being assasinated then he should never have run for president.
The truth is he’s part bastard/ part tool. On one hand he’s promoting econoic policies that will defend millionares like himself. One the other hand he’s a black skinned front man for the rich. The parade of white faces was upsetting certain segments so they decided to tap into the “black revolutionary” myth that morons have had since the 1960s. The minority leftist was always a myth anyway. They didn’t want to change the system, they just wanted to be incorporated in. I’ve seen many anti-union blacks before and of course illegal mexicans screw legitimate workers every day. How many chinese think its great that workers there work for 20 cents an hour and no benefit while union workers elsewhere see their plants close? I don;t believe in the international prolitaritariat. I also believe that any legitimate workers movement in the US would be undermined by internal diversity. The fact that Obama is black didn’t mean he was going to be some leftist messiah. In fact, to some like me, it made him even more suspect than being a bourgeois liberal already made him.

  3. Yeah, I understand you’d be upset about this since you’re getting older and all. But what’s so great about Social Security? It was created as a social safety net for people past the age of 62 back when the average life expectancy in this country was 61.
