Daily Kos Is In Open Rebellion Against Obama

Daily Kos is one of the largest sites on the Internet. In a word, this is the base of the Democratic Party. It’s also the liberal wing of the Democratic Party. It’s not correct to call this the left wing of the Democratic Party because Kosniks are not Leftists. These are not crazies or fanatics or nuts, not Communists or socialists or any of that. Instead, they are simply liberal Democrats. But the base of the Democratic Party are liberals just as the base of the Republican Party are conservatives.
It’s run by a guy named Markos who is in deep with the Democratic Party itself. Posters to Daily Kos are political junkies and dedicated Democratic Party supporters. Many of them are financial contributors to the Democratic Party. Many others have paid positions working for the party, for Democratic politicians, for Democratic-linked organizations, etc. Even more are Democratic Party volunteers. A good way to describe the site is that it is the grassroots base of the Democratic Party.
Markos has been supporting Obama all along, as have most of the posters. But in recent days, ever since the November election, something shocking has occurred. Almost the entire Daily Kos site is now in open rebellion against Barack Obama. Kos polls shows that 21% continue to support Obama, 21% are unsure, and 57% oppose him. His support level of 21% by his own base is dismal.
What’s even worse is if you go to the comments sections. About 95% of comments are anti-Obama, often ferociously so.
Pro-Obama types are meek and quiet and are reduced to making lame arguments about this or that latest rightwing capitulation.
Obama had to, he had no choice, Fox News forced him, liberals forced him by not voting, mean Republicans threatened him, Republicans would be worse, this was the best deal he could get, Obama’s actually playing an 11th dimension chess game that no one but he understands, liberals didn’t clap loud enough, on and on and on.
What’s amazing is not that there are so few Obama supporters, but that their arguments are so pitiful, weak and laughable.
Obama’s own base is armed with pitchforks and torches, marching against him on the outskirts of town. His campaign volunteers are resigning en masse. His big money contributors are throwing in the towel. Legions who voted for him are going cold turkey and vowing never to drink Obama 190 Proof again.
This is actually a breathtaking spectacle.

  1. Americans are the most stupid, gullible, pro- government/establishment people on the planet with a majority in favour of supporting actions to censor Wikileaks.
Disappointing Poll: Americans Largely Supportive of Censoring WikiLeaks

Personally like others I think the whole Wikileaks thing is BS I would want it censored which will lead to laws against the internet being censored as a whole. Sure as hell would support anything the government does.

  2. Correction meant to say:
“..but I would’nt want it censored which will lead to laws against the internet being censored as a whole.”

    1. Sure as hell would support anything the government does.
So which the hell is it? “Would” or “wouldn’t?”…And, Americans are very stupid, and rapidly moving in the direction of fascism, me thinks. A uniquely American approach to it, no doubt.
That is why I am so happy to be a “Californian.” We are, at the very least, kind of bucking the trend. Or at least not gravitating towards it so rapidly.

      1. Sorry just noticed it meant to say “Sure as hell would’nt support anything the government does”

Didn’t California vote for Arnie whose mentor is George Schultz?
Also I have seen pictures of him with Lord Jacob Rothschild and Warren Buffet.

        1. That was seven years ago, and Arnold is what you call a “California Republican,” which is a democrat in most of the Mid-West and South. He rode into power on the nation-wide post 9/11 redneck fascism that swept the country, actually getting Democrat Gray Davis removed from elected office in a recount. He does have connections to Warren Buffet, that is true. Buffet is a democrat, like it or not. That is a whole other topic to go into, and I think Robert could tell you more about that than I ever could.
I don’t much care for Arnold, as an actor or politician.
It is the recent election that matters the most, though. Look at the most recent election results. Virtually the rest of the U.S, including New York, moved “Red,” i.e in the direction of conservative tea-party types. In other words, towards a new fascism that is rapidly emerging.
California bucked that trend, and is pretty much doing the opposite of the rest of the entire U.S. How long this will last, I don’t know. I expect California to be continually politically targeted by the rest of the U.S, as a result.
          Everyone hates California.

      2. “That is why I am so happy to be a “Californian.” We are, at the very least, kind of bucking the trend”
Well you can just stay out there and ‘buck the trend.” As much as I don’t like the rupbulicans, I am also against the buttfuck fascism of California.
” I expect California to be continually politically targeted by the rest of the U.S, as a result.”
        God, I hope so.
        “Everyone hates California.”
        With good reason.

        1. The only American fascists I know come from the mid-west and south….And they all seem so “obsessed” with what is going on in California. From taking our tax-handouts to fund their trailer-park heavenly redneck life styles, to interfering in our politics from a sense of their own moral superiority(read jealousy), to watching re-runs of Baywatch and gay porn flicks made in the San Fernando Valley.
Fortunately, you can only target California, or anyone overseas for that matter, so long as there is money left in the coffers. Since SO much of your money, technology, industry, food… Comes from California. Good luck with that, you ungrateful peasants.
Bring on the Mexicans! At least they love the place.

        2. “The only American fascists I know come from the mid-west and south”
I’ve never heard of any large amount of fascists in the midwest of south. I know there are some capitalist oriented people who don’t like homos, but no real fascists. I also believe that Southern California has, or at least had in the past, one of the largest neo-nazi movements in the country. I think Tom Metzger was based out of there at one time.
“….And they all seem so “obsessed” with what is going on in California.”
Well, to some degree they have to be because California does try to force itself on other states and weirdo liberals from our states look to their for some of their weird crap.
” From taking our tax-handouts to fund their trailer-park heavenly redneck life styles,”
Kind of a stereotype, but I understand. In MO the outstate areas always complain about Kansas City and St. Louis, but at the same time they don’t mind taking the tax revenue we create.
” to interfering in our politics from a sense of their own moral superiority(read jealousy),”
LOL. Californians don’t have a sense of “moral superiority?” LOL The ideas that California and protestors from California don’t get involved in other states politics is a joke as well.
“to watching re-runs of Baywatch and gay porn flicks made in the San Fernando Valley.”
Personally, that is California in its totality to me. The whole place just seems absolutely disgusting and fake. I don’t want anything to do with them. People talk about how they make up such a large portion of the economy…well, I really don’t give a shit. Force independence on them and get that crap out. I really don’t care about the economic counsequences. We could kick the south out too. Sounds fine to me.
“Frtunately, you can only target California, or anyone overseas for that matter, so long as there is money left in the coffers.”
LOL. The idea that California with all of its defense contractors does not have any responsiblility in overseas US wars is a joke.
Frankly, I don’t like California. I don;t like the sneering attitude they have toward the rest of the country and I don’t like most of the anti-culture that come out of there. It’s all garbage to me. I see Obama as being the president that would fit California so well. He’s colored so all the rich people can live up to their romantic ideas of being revolutionaries, while at the same time he “compromises” on taxes and other important issues which allows the to keep most of their money. They’re the typical bougeois ‘revolutionaries’ who wear their Che Guevara shirts while shopping on Rode0 Drive. They give real leftism in the US a bad name. Do you really think that union members in Michigan, Ohio, or anywhere else really wants to be associated with faggots marching around in diapers in all the faggot pride parades of California? Of course not. We’ll do fine without California anyway. A lot of Californians actually came form the Midewest earlier in the century becasue of the nice weather. I don’t know what happened to them. I think California just turns people into mutants.
If you want the Mexicans so bad then that’s fine with me. When they become the majority in the area we’ll see how much you like the ‘habits’ of Mexicans. Personally, I don’t have anything against Mexicans, I just don’t want to live around a lot of them.
Unlike Robert, I’m don’t believe in “economics uber alles.” There is more to life than money, except in California where that is the only thing yoiu’ve got along with fake boobs. I think that maybe we out to just let it go.
