Barack Obama, Submissive, Doormat, Wimp, Sellout, Traitor

We bring you Part 925 of the Story That Will Not End. Barack apparently believes…what? What does he believe? That selling out to get re-elected is the way to win? That acting like a Republican is the way to win in 2012? That bending over for Republicans is the way to make peace with them, as sheep make peace with wolves? That his base will continue to vote for him come Hell or high water, so they can be screwed over endlessly and at will? Or is Obama, after all, a liberal Republican himself, a wealthy corporate Democrat safeguarding the interests of his class and his sponsors? Only Obama and his corporate Cabinet and aides know what they are thinking. Paul Krugman makes the case of Obama as a failed Democratic leader. For one of my favorite writers, paradox at The Left Coaster (left wing of the Democratic Party), the insane freeze on federal employees’ pay was the last straw. Obama just gave the knife to the government employees union. That’s something only a Republican would have done, as there are few things that they hate more than those unions. Why do they hate them? They represent government workers, and government is evil and must be destroyed. Further, they are one of the last effective unions left standing in the 40 year war against US trade unions, so they must be destroyed if only for what they represent, the last stragglers of the unions, still standing and fighting after 40 years of corporate scorched Earth policy against them. Paradox says, effective, that does it, Obama! I will not vote for you in 2012, even if Sarah Palin is running against you! Good man. There’s a limit to how much you can abuse your base, and Obama is plumbing the depths. By the way, one of the reasons for the 2010 massacre at the polls is that the Democratic Base was so disgusted with Barack Obama, Republican, that they simply stayed home and did not vote.

  1. Haven’t gone to left coaster to compare, but I would warn anyone with even latent sympathy for Obama, don’t read Ian Welsh or his commentors today.

  2. His “base” is idiotic young people who voted for him for his rockstar appeal. They stayed home because they didn’t even know about the 2010 election. I’m embarassed to be part of the generation that led to his nomination.
    As I said before
Obama doesn’t deserve to be assasinated-that would immortalize him as it did with JFK and elevate his family’s status and make them eligible for any office they should seek.
Obama doesn’t deserve to be forced to resign or impeached-that would give him ungained notoriety; it would give him a badass persona as it did with Nixon or make him the subject of endless jokes as it did with Clinton.
Obama doesn’t deserve that kind of legacy. Let’s send Obama back to obscurity so that he has to audition for American Idol to get his career back.

    1. His “base” is idiotic young people who voted for him for his rockstar appeal.
That is certainly true. I did vote for Obama, but only because it was either him or a Republican.
I certainly did see his rockstar appeal to many idiotic young people. Many of the other young people at my high school liked him because he was black.
Also, don’t forget the monolithic black vote. That helped propel him in the Democratic Primary.

  3. Were you still in high school at the time when he was elected? I was a junior in college at the time. I was taking courses at a public communter school in Boston with a sizable minority population. At the time I was a Clinton supporter (though not an active campaigner) and I noticed there was a lot of race based intimidation of the Clinton campaigners by the Obama mafia (radical mobilized young blacks) and the Kennedy machine. The Kennedys hold so much influence among older blue collar irish catholics in West Roxbury, South Boston, and Dedham that even they were brain washed into supporting Obama after he got Ted Kennedy’s endorsement during the primary. And even these older blue collar irish who had become hard core racists as a result of backlash during the forced busing era were manipulated into dismissing the Clinton supporters as post menopausal racist bitches.

    1. Yes, I was still in high school. Unlike middle school, my high school didn’t have too many blacks, but it had many other non-whites, and no doubt they enjoyed watching a fellow “person of color” rise up.
Granted, many of these same non-whites also didn’t like black people. But every now and then, they will come together in order to stick it to whites, be it politically or otherwise. I’ve seen it firsthand.
Oh, and don’t even get me started on the Kennedys. Ted Kennedy in particular is a piece of shit.

    2. Ted Kennedy, a classic limousine liberal.
Since you’re familiar with the busing wars, you must know that Teddy Kennedy sent his own kids to private schools and lived in an affluent suburb, all while telling other whites that they had to accept busing.
      Despicable.

      1. My grandfather actually had a cousin who was an influencial liberal journalist for the Boston Globe during the forced busing era and so naturally she was a big supporter of forced busing. Problem was, of course she lived in an affluent suburb and her own children wouldn’t be bused to Roxbury.

      2. It’s funny, usually the greatest white liberal champions of “social justice,” busing, and affirmative action type policies tend to live quite comfortably, and as far away from blacks as possible.
They’re usually the last people to send their own kids to integrated schools, give up their own cushy jobs, etc. They’ll never make any of the sacrifices that they so desire in order to achieve “social justice.”
And yet they expect white peons to do exactly that.
“Do as I say, not as I do,” indeed.

        1. ““Do as I say, not as I do,” indeed”
Actually, it’s more along the line of “Stay in your place cracker.” Forced busing and other 60’s garbage is part of a bourgeosie attack on the white poor. The want to cause conflicts between poor whites and non-whites. The marxists say that this is why we should abandon our heritages and cultures and mongrelize in order to fight the rich. I disagree. This is neither realistic nor desirable. In the US it may bee different, but in Europe, Africa, and Asia I think that people should be in states based on nationality/ethnicity. They should be blood and soil countries. This would allow them to preserve their cultures while not having internal racial/ethnic conflicts within the lower classes. Then they can concentrate on fighting the rich. In america it’s more complicated. The ‘Northwest Homeland’ of neonazis is not going to happen. What we need to do is get rid of quotas based on race and gender and concentrate solely on class and economics. Of course the rich have an interest in making sure this doesn’t happen, hence affirmative action and multiculturalist policies. They also want destroy any sense of community among the lower classes and diversity has been shown to do that.
Something even more drastic may be needed though. It is not likely that the rich will allow themselves to be beaten by the ballot box, at least not peacefully anyway.

        2. It’s funny, the left frequently criticizes the right of using race to divide working class and poor people (which the right indeed does), and yet they do the very same thing, except they do so in the name of “equality” and “diversity.”
Hence all the lectures about how even poor whites benefit from “white privilege.”
You can either have strive for harmony and economic equality, or you can have diversity, but you cannot have both.
Equality is just not possible in a diverse society, particularly when the diverse elements of that society are made to live together, which they neither appreciate nor desire.
The wrong kind of racial diversity leads to eternal conflict and bickering, which prevents any serious tackling of class issues.
Just look at the U.S. left. They’ve all but abandoned progressive economic and educational policies. Now, it’s all about sucking up to blacks, Hispanics, and homos, and using them against the white masses.
The left used to actually be decent, but sometime during the 60s, they switched to retard mode.

        3. To be clear, I wouldn’t exactly have been a leftist prior to the 60s either, but I could have at least tolerated them/gone along with their program to a certain extent.
But ever since they abandoned class/the workers and started focusing on all this Cultural Marxism crap, why should an average white guy like me even bother with the likes of them?

        4. “It’s funny, the left frequently criticizes the right of using race to divide working class and poor people (which the right indeed does), and yet they do the very same thing, except they do so in the name of “equality” and “diversity.””
That’s because this left and right are composed of almost the same gorup of people. What better way to guarentee that a movement doesn’t go against you than to take it over and pervert its original aims.

        5. “To be clear, I wouldn’t exactly have been a leftist prior to the 60s either”
I don’t think I would be on the left pre 60’s, at least not the left as defined by marxism. I would be willing to work with them on a great many economic issues though.

        6. @ Wade
That article you linked to by Paul Gottfried is excellent. The real left has indeed been subverted by decadent bourgeois adolescent types.
As you’ve pointed out, Wade, you don’t exactly see too many gay pride parades or embrace diversity rallies in working class areas.
You primarily see this crap in upper class enclaves, particularly places like S.F. and Bezerkeley, as well as leftist college campuses.
I’m willing to bet my left nut that most of these Cultural Marxist types are upper class, including Tim Wise, despite the fact that he claims to have grown up poor (yeah, riiiight!).
They represent what is wrong with the left.

        7. The left does care about the poor, but only those living oversees, in third world countries. The majority of anti war activists cared far more about poor Iraqis than they do about the welfare of US soldiers and military families. They care more about workers in sweat shops in China than they do about Americans who are losing their jobs due to outsourcing. This only breeds resentment and causes working class whites to vote republican because they believe republicans understand their struggle.

        8. @ Gay State Girl

          Could not agree more.
Well, many leftists are indeed rootless cosmopolitans. They don’t care about Americans, because they’re “citizens of the world,” as they put it.
The way I see it, why SHOULD any working class white person support the left? What the hell has the left done for them lately, besides demonize them as reactionary white trash?
Until the left starts caring more about AMERICAN workers and less about 3rd world sweatshop workers, they’ll never convince working class white people to support then in large numbers.
Of course, this is why they support mass Hispanic immigration. If you don’t like the election results, replace the electorate.

        9. “Of course, this is why they support mass Hispanic immigration. If you don’t like the election results, replace the electorate.”
          The Solution
“After the uprising of the 17th June
The Secretary of the Writers Union
Had leaflets distributed in the Stalinallee
          Stating that the people
Had forfeited the confidence of the government
And could win it back only
By redoubled efforts. Would it not be easier
In that case for the government
          To dissolve the people
          And elect another?”
by marxist Bertolt Brecht, after uprisings in East Germany
This kind of thing is the other thing that I really hate about the “intellectuals” in the modern world: their utter arrogance.

        10. The left support mass immigration so they can use them as cheap labor and send them to the battlefields to fight their wars. currently 22% of the military is hispanic and ~5% are other immigrants (mostly black Carribean Islanders). That’s what this whole militarypath to citizenship is all about.

        11. “The left does care about the poor, but only those living oversees, in third world countries”
This is very true, but it is not a new phenomena nor is it restricted to the United States. I found this poem to be very interesting.
“An unknown writer expressed the bitter feelings of the early British factory workers:
          “I’m up, but weary,
I scarce can reach the door,
And long the way and dreary—
          Oh, carry me once more,
To help us we’ve no mother,
To live how hard we try—
          They killed my little brother—
Like him I’ll work and die!
          The overlooker met her,
As to the frame she crept,
And with the thong he beat her,
And cursed her as she wept.
          Alas, what hours of horror
          Made up her latest day,
In toil and pain and sorrow,
          They slowly passed away.
That night a chariot passed her,
          While on the ground she lay;
          The daughters of her master
          An evening visit to pay,
          Their tender hearts were sighing
As wrongs to negroes were told,
While the white slave was dying
          Who gained their father’s gold.”
          —Birmingham Journal, April 14, 1833.
I found this in a work bu revisionist historian Michael Hoffman called “They Were White and they Were Slaves.” Hoffman has been criticized about certain aspects of his work, and he does go jew crazy at times, but he does offer a very different look at things.
I find this poem to be a beautifically tragic piece of art. It is one of the best poems I have ever read.

        12. I’ve heard of him before. He is a professor at SUNY Buffalo. How does he keep his job, expressing his views so openly like that?

      3. “Ted Kennedy, a classic limousine liberal.”
It’s odd. Ted Kennedy died of brain cancer. Those Kennedys are always getting something or another in the head.

  4. “Submissive, Doormat, Wimp, Sellout, Traitor”
I dasagree Robert. The problem is that judgements like this are based on what people think he should be doing and some of what he SAYS he wants to do. He could very well have ulterior motives that he has been very effective at accomlishing. I believe this is the way it was with Bush. People said he was stupid. I belive he was quite good at using this to his advantage. When you call man a failure, you have to specify whether or not you mean be failed in his goals or you goals. Your perception is not always reality and if challengers are to succeed in taking on the status quo we can not be naive enough to think that it is.

  5. Hey BAG, if you are going to keep deriding the “monolithic black vote”, maybe you can explain why blacks should’ve voted for McCain over Obama. Can you give one reason why? If not, then stop bringing it up.

    1. Tulio, I’m not talking about the general election. I’m not saying that blacks should’ve voted for McCain, at all.
I’m talking about the Democratic primary, where they did monolithically support him over Hilary Clinton, at least after the Iowa primary.

      1. It was never that simple and you know it.
        http://articles.cnn.com/2007-10-17/politics/poll.blacks.democrats_1_black-voters-african-american-voters-black-women?_s=PM:POLITICS
Obama won over the black vote. He wasn’t given it from the beginning by virtue of merely being black. I remember initially many blacks were unsure of Obama and thought he seemed “out of touch” and too distant with the black community. Some said he wasn’t even a real African-American(in the sense that the rest of us are) since his father is from Kenya and he was raised by his white family.

        1. Paul Shanklin in the voice of Al Sharpton
Barack the magic negro lives in DC
The LA times they call him that because he’s black but not authentically
Yeah, the guy from the LA paper said he made guilty whites feel good
They’ll vote for him but not fo’ me cause he’s not from the the hood

        2. It was never that simple and you know it.
Maybe not that simple, but pretty damn simple nonetheless.
Obama won over the black vote.
I hate to sound rude, Tulio, but bullshit.
Yes, I followed the election as well, and yes, many blacks INITIALLY were skeptical of Obama. Blacks may be politically monolithic, but they’re not politically stupid.
At first, they didn’t think that Obama actually had a serious chance to win, so they decided that they’d rather be safe than sorry, and at least get a Democrat to win over a Republican.
However, once Obama won the Iowa primary, which had a majority white electorate, blacks realized that one of their own actually had a shot to win, so they did monolithically support him since then.
Forgive me for being a tad bit skeptical, but Obama did not “win” the black vote, anymore than JFK “won” the Catholic vote.

  6. i don’t know much about the pay freeze for federal workers, but i say RIGHT ON. what i’ve heard is that pay amongst federal workers is about 33% higher than private sector workers. they already have enough, it’s time to spread that wealth to those who actually have it rough.
obama is as self-serving as the worst of them in washington. it’s what you get for voting based on your white-guilt.
