Whites and the Nigger Word

I won’t say N-word because I think it’s insulting and stupid.
But the truth is that Blacks would be shocked if they found out how many Whites use nigger in private.
A White person who uses nigger against some Black scumbag in the heat of an argument or fight but in general does not use it otherwise is not really all that racist.
Blacks can’t seem to figure that out.
If Blacks could turn White for a while and live life as a White, they would realize that a lot of Whites use nigger on a fairly regular basis. Do they say it to Blacks? Hell no. But they do use it around chosen Whites.
Some are liberals or even Leftists, and other than that, are not really racist against Blacks at all. They vote for the Black agenda, support Blacks, voted for and support Obama, have Black friends, think White anti-Black racists are silly, etc.
The truth is that many or probably most Whites are racist to some degree. If the worst you can say about a White ally is that he says nigger sometimes around his White buddies, consider yourself lucky!
Sometimes I think Blacks are asking too much from Whites. White people aren’t exactly totally over their anti-Black racism, and I assume that goes for the majority of us. In choosing White friends, Blacks are probably choosing between the lesser and more racist. Would be nice if we were the anti-racist darlings Blacks wish us to be, but it’s not so!
Anyway, your average “anti-racist” Black is way more racist against Whites than your average White is against Blacks*, so Blacks are not debating from a position of strength here.
So Blacks can go Abagond* on us and hate most of us or make the best of a dubious situation and try to be happy anyway.
*The Abagond crowd is particularly bizarre in that they are like so many Blacks. They demand anti-racist, Tim Wise like purity and probity from Whites which need not be fulfilled on their end. That is, for their part, most of them have serious hatred against Whites. Yet we must love them back, unconditionally I guess.
Yeah, whatever!

  1. OMG
Did my joke really get to you that much?
They only time I’ll ever say nigger outside of a provocation or a joke situation is when talking about somalis. Let face it, they’re a bunch of niggers. Really, if you have to find a group of people who fit the violent nigger rapist stereotype, it’s the somalis. Before anyone bitches at me, yes, I know the somalis had a civilization in ancient and medieval times…It’s just too bad they don’t have one in modern times.(possible exception of Somalilland, but full inclusion of Somalia and it’s diaspora) I’ve even heard Kenyans say that the Somalians in their country are a huge problem. Apparently they’ve invaded Nairobi and are real parasites.

    1. Look, let’s get real here for a second.
All Black predatory criminals are pretty much niggers. Let’s make a deal with our Black friends. We quit calling these scumbags niggers when they quit victimizing others! Deal? Shake on it.
All Black gang members are pretty much niggers. In fact, nigger is way too nice for most of them. All though they line up with the crowd above, I have to call out these guys exceptional abuse.
Are ghetto Blacks niggers? I don’t like to call them that, but others do. Judgment call!
Now there are Blacks who are not ghetto, gang members or predatory criminals. Is it ok to call them niggers? I certainly do not do so! When you start calling the tulios, chic noirs and Alphas niggers, you’ve fallen to a very low level, and you need to pick yo ass up off that dirty floor White man!

      1. Great post, personally I call the criminals and scum Fuckin Niggers, but that’s just me.
Everyone is racist, it.s in or DNA and how we survived as a species. If someone looks different or something looked different for what you were use to you would be suspicious of it or you would be dead. It’s a survival instinct, plain and simple.

      2. You guys all do whites a dis-service…I think we should look into the history of the word NIGGER…only then will we beable to understand it.
Personally I dont use the word, however I dont have an aversion for the word…I would like to know at what time in History did this word become offensive…it would be like the word FUCK, it references sex or screwing or any other word of copulation, when did that wird become offensive…and just because blacks call each other Niggas, doesnt change the word you may spell it different but it is still nigger….i think black people need to get a grip on their on communities…if you dont want whites to use the word, perhaps you should clean yourselves up first…the old adage lead by example comes to mind…if you dont want me to use such a word please stop using it yourself…

    2. I would not call Somalis or any other large population of Blacks niggers, but that’s just me. I pretty much reserve that word for those Blacks who have stooped to bathospherically low that they have more than earned such faint praise!

        1. None. Whites don’t use racial pejoratives towards scumbag Whites. Though sometimes White Trash is used. White trash is more descriptive than anything else.
Cracker and redneck are used quite a bit, but not in the same way that anti-White racists use them. Cracker is used to describe a certain type of White down South. Redneck is used to describe a certain type of White once again, but not limited to the South.
There aren’t that many racist pejoratives about Whites. You Blacks need to get thinking and think up some good words! Come on, get going!
I generally don’t use the word nigger, even though quite a few Blacks deserve to be called one. I’m just not comfortable with the word, so I’ll hardly even use it about even the scummiest Blacks of all. That word just has to much baggage. There are some Whites who use that word. If they start using it around me, I might join in a bit, *maybe*! But I’d rather die than call you one.

        2. “And what racial pejorative have you reserved for whites that sink bathosphericaly low?”
White trash. Unlike Robert I will use racial terms against other whites.
I was not totally serious here. It was more of a joke than anything, but let’s face it, somalis suck. Especially their diaspora. It does horrible on every social indicatot wherever it goes, including ones related to violence.

    3. I would not call Somalis or any other large population of Blacks niggers, but that’s just me. I pretty much reserve that word for those Blacks who have stooped so bathospherically low that they have more than earned such faint praise!

      1. “I pretty much reserve that word for those Blacks who have stooped so bathospherically low that they have more than earned such faint praise”
You don’t seem to ger my point. That’s what most people in the somali diaspora, excluding Iman, have done. It’s not even like the rest of the african diaspora. I have never heard anything good said about somalis whether their in Minnesota, Sweden, or South Africa.

      1. Wait a minute, I think I’ve seen her before.
Isn’t she a celebrity of some sort? Ah, that’s it! She’s Iman. Isn’t she married to David Bowie?
I don’t know, you shouldn’t judge an overall ethnic group’s attractiveness based on a few celebrities.
For example, so many Americans think that Brazilian women are sexy and exotic based on a few celebrities, but from what I’ve read, Brazilian women really aren’t all that great, actually. Many of them are fat, undergo cosmetic surgery, etc.

        1. Yeah, that’s Iman. But there are a lot of women from that part of Africa that are model material. I’ve been to Ethiopian fests here in L.A. and seen all kinds of hotness.
No, you’re wrong on Brazilian women. There’s a reason it’s a such a huge sex tourist destination. Of course there’s ugly Brazilian women like anywhere. But I think you’ll find more hotties per capita than you will here. Also for guys that like mulattas and different kind of racial mixes, Brazil is gold.

        2. “There’s a reason it’s a such a huge sex tourist destination”
Actually, a lot of that has to do with a corrupt government and a lot of poor abandoned younger children. Heg knows about that. Ask him.

        3. Well, I confess my ignorance regarding Brazil.
Well, at least according to Thad and his wife, this whole image of the exotic and super sexy Brazilian woman is overhyped, and distorts the actual reality.
I’m just kinda taking his word for it.
Although, I’m sure that they certainly are nowhere near as fat as American women.

        4. Colombian women are supposed to be the best looking in Latin America. Brazilian women stand out though because hearing them talk Portuguese, esp with the Rio accent sounds uber sexy. They also tend to dress more feminine and doll themselves up more than American women. From guys I know that have lived there, Brazilian woman also play less games than American women. Whereas American women are more into this play hard to get crap.

        5. Well, I guess I’ll just have to take other people’s word for it.
Maybe it also has to do with the fact that they don’t have all this crazy PC feminist shit over there.
PC feminist crap here may very well kill the love.

        6. “Whereas American women are more into this play hard to get crap.”
Yeah. Most south american men have no money for bitches to drain out of them, so there really is no point in playing hard to get. The men that do have money have so many choices of hot women with less money that if some bitch plays hard to get, he just find another woman.

    1. 1. The only specific age-based demographic of black people (in America) who exclusively listen to rap music are impoverished, peak-consumer aged (16-35) urban (and mostly male) ghetto-dwellers (coincidentally, they’re also the source of 65-75% of all crimes committed by blacks). Interestingly enough, they only make up about 15% of the total population of Black Americans(25% if you include the lower amount of females with the same listening habits), which always makes the idea of “all black people=criminally-minded and white-hating fonts of evil” seem petty and pedantic.
      2. As someone who was born and raised in New York City by West Indian immigrants (IOW, someone who was born in the birthplace of rap music and raised by the same type of people as the original rap artists), I can tell you that the idea of “gangsta rap” lies solely at the feet of SWPL music executives. Or do you think the fact that rap changed from light, breezy party music (when it was being produced and distributed by small, black-run record labels) to “kill whitey” (when it began to be produced and distributed by massive, white-run record labels) is a pure coincidence? The readily apparent fact that Black people (when allowed to write and produce their own songs with no oversight) made some of the fluffiest, malice-deficient music on the planet, but the sudden addition of resource-based attention (from SWPL fans and SWPL-run corporations) signaled the rise to prominence of “political” rap groups (Public Enemy, X-Clan, mentioned on your link), “gangsta rappers” (NWA, the Geto Boys, Tupac Shakur, etc.) , “hardcore (but not explicitly gang-related) rappers” (Onyx, Biggie Smalls, etc.) and “smut peddlers” (2 Live Crew, Akinyele, Too Short, etc.) is another coincidence?
      3. If it weren’t for white, teenaged suburban males, rap music wouldn’t be anywhere near as profitable as it is now. Why? Well, for one, black people don’t buy music with low replay value (and rap music is all about the “one-hit wonder”.) Also, buying albums/CDs/etc. was expensive, so most black people bought the singles (at $1.99-$3.99 per unit) instead of the full releases (at $13.99-$20.99). Given the choice between spending $20+ for an album with 1-3 “good songs” and buying the specific songs for <$10, most black people purchased their favorite song, whereas suburban white teenagers (who to this day are still known for having higher levels of cash flow and far larger levels of “parental rebellion” issues than their poorer counterparts) could afford to spend the $60+ needed to buy the new releases on a weekly basis. Or, IOW, the back people most likely to listen exclusively to rap music were too “poor” to afford it, whereas the white people most likely to listen to rap music had the funds to amass large collections. 100,000 “single” units purchased by black people at $2-4 a pop doesn’t even come close to equaling the profits earned at selling the same amount of albums to SWPL teens at $15-20+ a pop. There were (and still are) plenty of black people whose rages were fueled by rap music, but the profits needed to maintain the presence of the dreck on the shelves were fueled by SWPL, and the decay of the “art form” (in and of itself) has always been fueled by SWPLs.

  2. (At work, potentially monitored, shouldn’t send keyword.)
I reserve it for blacks who self-justify unacceptable behavior, like hit-and-run fathers or the ex-coworker who threw temper tantrums in meetings.
Chris Rock has a routine where he says about blacks, “[ourselves] like African-Americans, but we hate ——.” I think he’s using a definition similar to above to refer to persons who know how they’re acting.

  3. For me, it’s pretty simple.
If blacks piss me off, certain unpleasant words fill my head.
(though again, like Uncle Ruckus, I think that “nigger” is way overused)
If I’m not pissed at certain blacks, then those words don’t come to mind.

  4. It really depends on which whites you hang out with.
I have to disagree with Robert to a certain extent. SWPL liberals are some of the most neurotic and PC people you will ever come across, and they get offended even if you simply QUOTE someone saying nigger. They hardly use it themselves.
Even white Republicans I’ve known haven’t used it.
I don’t know, maybe the whites you know are less PC than whites today.
In my experience, Asians, Middle Easterners, and Hispanics are less PC than whites and more inclined to use certain naughty words.
To be fair, there are some cool whites who are indeed willing to break away from the PC game, but too often that’s not the case.
With regards to the Abagond crowd, fuck em. I haven’t read Abagond ever since Thad was banned. And from what I hear, I’ve made a good choice. Without Thad around, it’s just a bunch of looney blacks unquestioningly agreeing with one another.

    1. “In my experience, Asians, Middle Easterners, and Hispanics are less PC than whites and more inclined to use certain naughty words.”
Exactly. The white liberals get more offended than the respective ethnic groups. Last week, my mom and I were eating at Chilis and she saw a sign for “El Presidente Margarita” and she took it to heart, shge felt it made hispanics seem less serious. She notified the El Salvadorean waitor about it and he laughed it off and informed her that it was the name of a Mexican beer.

    2. You know, it’s ironic.
Despite the fact that I’m a WN and all, in some ways I feel more comfortable around Asians (and to a smaller extent Hispanics and Middle Easterners) than I do my fellow whites.
They don’t do the white guilt game, so they’re less rigid in terms of their racial beliefs, and more willing to say offensive things.
In fact, I’ve heard more racist black jokes from non-whites than I have from my fellow whites.
Then again, maybe it’s because I’m from the Bay Area, where almost all whites are SWPL liberals.
Now that I’m attending college in the OC, I’ve gotten to know more conservative and less PC whites. I like it more this way.
(though of course, I would disagree with them on non-race issues, like economics. And even they can be PC to a certain extent)

  5. BTW, a lot of people seem to dislike or even hate Arabs and other Middle Easterners, yet there seems to be a lack of truly offensive terms for them. Towel head? Waaaah! Mommy! Raghead? See Towelhead. Ay-rab? Just a mispronunciation of Arab, and reflects more poorly on the redneck dumb__s who says it than on anyone else. Haji is actually an honorific in the original context and has no bite at all. I like the one Cyrus (I think) used, “lizard-eating Mohammedans,” and that could piss people off on a number of levels, but it is too cumbersome and even esoteric to gain wide currency.
I welcome thoughts or suggestions. it is not fair that such an obstreporous people should suffer from such a dearth of offensive epithets.

    1. What?
You left out sand nigger and dune coon!
Personally, I have no real problem with Arabs. There aren’t that many of them in the U.S, they don’t have much power, and they aren’t the ones responsible for open borders, outsourcing, the Israel lobby, Cultural Marxism and neoconservatism, etc.

        1. BAG, I totally forgot about those. They’re pretty offensive, but derivative. As for the rest of it, I’m merely observing that many people seem to dislike them intensely. I’m not evaluating the reasons or merits of such feelings. It’s true that they tend–like their estranged cousins–to draw attention to themselves.

        2. Yeah, something about Semitic peoples just doesn’t allow them to sit down and shut their traps!
Sure, while some anti-Semitism (be it anti-Jewish or anti-Arab) is unreasonable and unprovoked, at the same time Jews and Arabs kinda ask for it.
Neither of them do a very good job at being likable.
It’s easier for Jews to get away with it due to their domination of Hollywood and the media, which allows them to shape the perceptions non-Jews have regarding Jews.
The fact that they have comedians like Larry David and Jerry Seinfeld also helps.

    2. Persians (at least in L.A.) are shallow status-climbing whores. They are like Jews but with a whole lotta Pomp & Circumstance.
One thing I like about the Jewish people is that they are not ostentatious, even the ones who are loaded.

  6. I’m amazed by the Pavlovian reaction I experience when I even think the word “nigger.” My parents never used “nigger” and I never absorbed its full derogatory implications til I was much older. If I hear the word now, I instinctively cringe. It’s crazy! Although, if I hear the word mayate which is the Spanish derogatory word for black people, it’s no skin off my back. And Hispanics are more racist than any American hillbilly.
Hey, hillbilly!! That’s a great derogatory word for white people, ha.
My favorite Mexican word is “beaner.” Wetback, greaser, border-jumper, spic…they are all good, but beaner is just bad. It only works for Mexicans. I would never call an Asian a “ricer” or a Persian a “lamber.”
(@ FrankBD…I love vacation days, like today…I can just comment at will. I work behind a corporate wall which is so firmly ensconced in my personal business that I would be HRd for posting shit like this!)

  7. Racial slurs should not be used under any circumstance. If one considers themselves non-racist, there is absolutely no condition under which it’s acceptable to use racist language, be it in private or in public. Period. In fact, I think they do as much damage to the soul of the person that uses it as it does to the intended target.
There are three main reason I think racial slurs are heinous:
    1) It’s just plain fucking wrong to insult people for a condition they had no choice in. It’s like making fun of retarded people. Nobody had any choice what race they were born into, so why make that a factor in insulting them?
    2) There is no way to use a racial slur against an individual and ONLY involve that individual. You are essentially attacking millions of people(most of whom are decent people) because of the acts of one particular person. If I was having a beer with Robert and BAG, and they mentioned a black that pissed them off earlier and called him a nigger. There’s no way they can just say, “I’m only referring to that black person, I’m not applying it to you.” Doesn’t work that way. You’ve offended every black person on the planet if you used the word, even the ones that otherwise may have liked you.
    3) History. If the word has an ugly history and accompanied genocide, lynchings, torture, subjugation or slavery, it will be more charged. You said blacks should come up with a word equivalent to nigger for whites. That’s impossible, because there isn’t the history there. The word nigger isn’t so offensive because of the way it looks on paper, it’s offensive because of history of oppression and subjugation that went behind it. A Chinese calling an Armenian a racial slur won’t have a fraction of the power that it would if it came from a Turk.
I used racial slurs when I was a kid and didn’t know any better. But I also made fun of retarded people, cripples, gays, people with big ears or bald heads and a bunch of other things people can’t help. As a mature civilized adult, I now know better.

    1. “Short-bus” is specifically heinous. I think to offend groups of well-bodied individuals is one thing; to offend helpless cripples (mental and physical) goes beyond my personal scope. Even though I find myself doing it. 🙁

    2. I disagree.
      (of course)
      If one considers themselves non-racist
      That definitely rules me out!
It’s just plain fucking wrong to insult people for a condition they had no choice in. It’s like making fun of retarded people. Nobody had any choice what race they were born into, so why make that a factor in insulting them?
The non-white kids in high school that I knew didn’t adopt that philosophy towards me, so why should I be any more courteous?
Besides, while blacks can’t help but be born with black skin, many of them act black. Think about it, Tulio. Do you REALLY think that I dislike blacks on account of their phenotype.
No, my disdain for them mainly has to do with their behavior and attitudes.
There is no way to use a racial slur against an individual and ONLY involve that individual.
Okay, fair enough. I’m actually inclined to agree with you. Well, at least on this specific point.
History.

      *yawn*
Ah, more typical Critical Race Theory.
Tulio, I hate to sound rude and dismissive here, but I simply do not give two shits. I don’t care how oppressed blacks used to be. I don’t care if anti-black slurs have ugly origins. I just DON’T CARE.
I have ZERO sympathy for blacks and have absolutely ZERO moral opposition to racially insulting blacks.
Who knows? I might be more sensitive under different circumstances. Maybe if the black kids at my middle school (and to a smaller extent high school) were nicer and more sensitive, I would be as well.
Frankly, blacks just piss me off, so I’m not going to go out of my way to be sensitive to their feelings.
Some black individuals who don’t piss me off. Well, yes, I’ll certainly be polite and keep my views to myself.
But as a general rule, blacks will be afforded little extra sensitivity or courtesy from me.

      1. ” Do you REALLY think that I dislike blacks on account of their phenotype.”
That reminds me of something I read on a racist site once, a reversal of Martin Luther King:
“If we judged blacks by the content of their character, they would be begging us to judge them by the color of their skin.”
I don;t necessarily agree with it as a universal law, but the idea that black peoples appearances piss me off and not the total asshole attitude that a large number of them have is absurd.
“History. If the word has an ugly history and accompanied genocide, lynchings, torture, subjugation or slavery, it will be more charged.”
The problem with this is that people aren’t emotionally impacted by history. they’re emotionally impacted by what they think history is. Words that were neutral or only slightly insulting in the past can become very insulting if it is within someone powerfuls interest to make it so. I’m told the word “wetback” didn’t become a major insult until the last couple decades.
I think we can all come to a consensus here though: Somalis are a bunch of niggers. It’s just the truth. At least I didn’t say niggers were a bunch of somalis. Now that would be inappropriate.

        1. @ Wade
“If we judged blacks by the content of their character, they would be begging us to judge them by the color of their skin.”
I don;t necessarily agree with it as a universal law, but the idea that black peoples appearances piss me off and not the total asshole attitude that a large number of them have is absurd.

Agreed. I don’t think people hate each other solely on account of phenotype. There’s also something social or behavioral involved.
The problem with this is that people aren’t emotionally impacted by history. they’re emotionally impacted by what they think history is.
          Thank you, Wade!
That is most certainly true. People, particularly Americans, don’t generally care about history.
They’re only emotionally attached to what they THINK is history, or what they think history SHOULD BE.
They only invoke history when it suits their interests or helps them score rhetorical points.
Somalis are a bunch of niggers. It’s just the truth. At least I didn’t say niggers were a bunch of somalis. Now that would be inappropriate.
          Hehe.
Ah Wade, you’re killing me here! 🙂

        2. The problem with this is that people aren’t emotionally impacted by history. they’re emotionally impacted by what they think history is.
Precisely. My comment earlier about my instinctual response to the N-word hinted at this. Learned behaviors and thoughts are so distorted over time that our opinions become barren shells.
Now if only modern society could be rebooted.

        1. I grant your point, Alpha.
Just to clarify, I was addressing Tulio’s point that racial slurs are wrong because people cannot help what race they are, are born into it, etc.
That implies that it’s wrong to despise them because it’s wrong to insult people based on their natural looks/appearance.
          I disagreed with that notion.

        2. You should tell that to Francis Cress Welsing (I think that’s spelled right)
She the “psychologist” who thinks that whites are genetic mutants who envy black skin. Apparently we give chocolates to women on Valentines day to make them subconsciously think of black penises.

          1. I’m not that interested in the theories of Frances Cress Welsing. In my opinion, most Black people don’t think that anti-Black racism is simply about a dislike of the physical appearance of Blacks.

        3. Ironically Somalis probably have more Caucasian blood than other sub saharan Africans, with the exception of their neighbors in Ethiopia. As a side note, when U.S. troops were occupying Mogadishu in the early 1990s, Somalis would often yell the forbidden word at black American troops.

        4. “I’m not that interested in the theories of Frances Cress Welsing.”
I am. She’s fucking hilarious. I love that racist stuff.

        5. Wait a minute, Tulio. I thought you weren’t going to debate me.
But since you insist, I’ll respond.
I’m talking about TODAY. And if I were to use a slur against blacks, it would have everything to do with their behavior.
And besides, I’m guessing that most whites haven’t even heard of many of those words (like gator bait).
I wasn’t really familiar with those slurs until I heard them from Uncle Ruckus!
Okay Tulio, I’ll grant your point. Historically, yes, many whites hated blacks regardless of their behavior.
Though, if you honestly believe that many or most whites dislike blacks or think of unsavory things to call them solely on account of phenotype (and having nothing to do with black behavior), then you, sir, are the one who is full of shit.

        6. Alpha, I think the phenotype definitely plays a role. How many white racists are there that don’t think black skin, hair and physical features are ugly? BAG may be the only white racist I’ve seen yet that thinks some African women are pretty. Most of them also hate the way we look. Plus dark skin blacks have always been treated worse than lighter skin blacks based on looks alone.

          1. I see exactly what you mean. I agree that some Whites don’t like the “typical” Black phenotype.
However, when a Black person says that Whites hate him for his race, he doesn’t mean just his phenotype. That’s what I was trying to get at. “Race” includes phenotype and some other presumptions about the nature of Blacks.
After all, a racist can find your physical appearance quite appealing and still behave in a racist way toward you.

        7. BAG may be the only white racist I’ve seen yet that thinks some African women are pretty.
Hmm, I don’t know about that, Tulio.
I think that deep down, most white nationalists/racists despise blacks for primarily social reasons.
They just go on rants about ugly black phenotype and low black IQ’s as justification for their already existing dislike for blacks.
Think about it. Indians (not American Indians) are also pretty damn dark, and thus should be hated by white racist types. Sure, there are whites who indeed dislike Indians, but you don’t see anywhere near the same disdain that they have for blacks.
I don’t know. To me, disliking people on account of looks just doesn’t make any sense.
There are many reasons to dislike someone.
To me, looks just isn’t one of them.
With regards to lighter skinned blacks, yes, phenotype does play a role, I admit. In the eyes of many whites, light-skinned blacks are a bit more aesthetically pleasing. Hmm, that is an interesting point. Perhaps the fact that light-skinned blacks have significant white ancestry may subconsciously affect white views of them.
I’d have to look more into that. I have no solid answer in that regard.

        8. Also, if you look at American Indian history, race mixing between whites and Indians was generally not forbidden or discouraged.
In fact, many white people like to brag about whatever Indian ancestry they might have, even going so far as to make it up.
However, I highly doubt that most white people would advertise any black ancestry that they might have, let alone make it up.
If it were based purely on phenotype and ancestry, I think that there would be much more WN hostility towards Indians and Asians, and yet it seems that most of their hostility towards non-whites comes down to blacks.
Also, Jews don’t look too different from most whites, and yet they also have a problem with them.
To me, this signifies that dislike for other racial and ethnic groups stems from primarily social reasons, not any dislike for their ancestry or phenotype.

        9. “Plus dark skin blacks have always been treated worse than lighter skin blacks based on looks alone.”
Are you sure that this was totally about looks and doesn’t have anything to do with the fact that light skinned blacks have white ancestors and therefore were considered somewhat better.
I remember a girl in college that I never met, but I passed her on campus a lot and saw her where I worked. I think she was an albino. She had very african facial features, but totally white skin and bleach blonde hair. Frankly, I dont see her being treated differently than other blacks once one sees her face and realizes she’s not white. At least I don’t remember doing anything different while I was working in the dining hall.
I don’t find all blacks to be ugly. There are certain black traits I’m not crazy about. I’ve never been a fan of the wider noses, but non blacks have those too. Kinky hair isn’t up on my list either. I wouldn’t call all blacks ugly though. Many mixed blacks can be attractive. I remember there was a contoversy several years ago where Kanye West said that without mutts there would be no video girls. I did some research and many of the ‘video girls’ that I could find names for at the time (melyssa ford is the only name I can remember right off) were actually mixed.
I also remember the Marcus Garvey didn’t like light skinned blacks and the Haitians killed many of them.

        10. I’m not saying behavior and other factors besides phenotype don’t play a role. Whites hated Irish when they first came here and they Nordics just like the regular white Americans. So other factors besides looks can come into play. Or it could be a combination of many things. Sometimes it’s neither looks or behavior, but the feeling that this other group is competing for your jobs, which was probably the case with the Irish. I do think in the case of blacks, historically anyway, looks had a lot to do with it just based on how pervasive the sambo imagery was of blacks being coal dark with massive red lips and buggy eyes. Yeah, today many whites may hate blacks based on blacks they view as “ghetto”, but I also think looks plays into that. I think it helped Obama that he was mocha complexioned. If Obama looked like the spitting image of his father, I doubt he’d have won. Believe it or not, it makes a difference.

          1. There’s no getting around the fact that many Whites don’t like typical Black features. That’s true. And you’re probably right about Obama.

        11. “which was probably the case with the Irish”
I don’t know about that. I know that while racialists placed the irish in with whites, they did not considers them germanics. I believe in England many had this idea of germanic english versus inferior irish celts. Since america is an anglo descended society some of this probably transfered, especially in more anglo saxon New England. Today we say ‘Western Civilization’ and ‘European Civilization’ but many back then used the term ‘Anglo-Saxon Civilization.’

        12. If Obama looked like the spitting image of his father, I doubt he’d have won. Believe it or not, it makes a difference.
No argument from me here, Tulio.
In spite of the fact that his self-described “funny name” has been attacked by conservatives, I think the fact that he’s a light-skinned mulatto named Barack Obama helped him a bunch.
If he were a dark-skinned black guy named DeShawn Jones from Oakland, no way in hell he would have won. And no way in hell I would have voted for him, in spite of the fact that I hate Republicans.
I probably just wouldn’t have voted.
(Yes, I actually did vote for Obama, believe it or not! Though admittedly, I wasn’t quite a WN back then)

        13. Here’s my thinking.
Tulio, upon further review, I do believe that black looks aren’t exactly admired by many whites.
(in spite of what certain black anti-racists say about whites getting tans. Seriously, are they arrogant enough to believe that wanting to get a tanned look necessarily means whites want to be black? In spite of all their “people of color” rhetoric, they seem to forget that blacks aren’t the only ones with dark skin in this world. Also, methinks that whites want more of a Mediterranean look than anything else. And no, I don’t really no any white women who get butt or lip implants. But anyway, I digress)
That being said, I think that this dislike of black phenotype is intensified by already existing social dislike.
It’s kind of like an adolescent who hates a certain peer. Once he already hates him, he starts noticing his funny looking face, or his weird hair, or how he dresses poorly, etc. Sure, he may dislike this kid on account of his looks, but if he didn’t hate him in the first place, he wouldn’t have focused as much on finding things about his looks to dislike.

        14. Also as for Native Americans, I’ve long noticed that many whites speak proudly of having some N.A. ancestry. I’ve never been quite sure why this is or why whites intermarrying with NAs in the past was somewhat acceptable while doing the same with blacks was beyond the pale. My only guess is that blacks had a special low-caste position designated for them in order to rationalize slavery, whereas NAs didn’t. Also, there was this image of “the noble savage” that whites had of them. Even to this day, that image is pervasive. Native Americans are seen as these peaceful, spiritual people at harmony with the land and animals and nature. There is this really romantic notion people have about NAs. Reality of course is always more complex than perceptions. They fought wars with each other, enslaved each other, hunted animals for sport and some were quite brutal. Even today, there’s very little about NAs to romanticize about. They are in terrible poverty in reservations full of alcoholism. I know someone who went to a reservation to “discover” her NA roots and said she came back horribly depressed. There are of course many people coming across the southern border who appear to be mostly indigenous Mexicans(they are usually quite short and very dark-skinned) and the welcome mat isn’t exactly rolled out for them.
I also think one reason is that whites have to feel less guilt about stealing their land if they can say they are part NA themselves. It makes them feel more connected to the land.
Whites don’t advertise their black roots if they exist, because there’s no romantic notions(even if it is fictional) attached to being black like there are for NAs. There’s no social advantage to doing so. Nobody is going to say, “ooooh, how cool!” But then again, I have met some occasional whites that have no problem speaking of their black heritage. About a year and a half ago I came across this pale, redhead girl maybe in her early 20s from Boston. We got to randomly chatting and she said her father is black. I told her that she doesn’t look black in the slightest bit, I’d have just guessed she was another Irish redhead from Boston if I didn’t know otherwise. She said her father is from one of the Caribbean islands and he’s “kind of light skinned.” She seemed to be proud of telling me this.

        15. Good question, Gay State Girl.
The way I see it, we live in a majority takes all Democracy. In majority white areas, white candidates win, with occasional doofuses like dubya and Palin.
In majority blacks areas, black candidates win, with occasional doofuses like Alvin Greene, Hank Johnson, and Kwame Kilpatrick.
The fact that an inexperienced black senator named Barack Obama managed to win a national election, involving many white voters, speaks volumes.
Then again, the Republicans sucking dick also helped him in the general election. Getting the monolithic black vote in the Democratic primaries also played a role.

        16. “Tulio
Would a white man who hadn’t even served a full term in the senate have a chance at the presidency?”
I don’t know, but some people consider SArah Palin, a white woman who hadn’t even served a full term as governor, as a god figure.

What’s interesting is that many non-whites on the left have this image of the Indian as well.
They honestly think that Indians were living in communal bliss before the wicked whites showed up.
But like all human beings, Indians were violent jerks, constantly at each other’s throats.
I think in this instance, you have someone who has a direct black ancestor.
My point was that if a born and raised white person discovered that he had black ancestry (through a test or something like that), he wouldn’t be eager to advertise it.
As to why there was never a taboo against white/Indian mixing, I have to agree with Ta-Nehisi Coates that while the U.S. has done far better than most countries with regards to assimilating different groups and accepting difference, blacks have always been the insoluble.
You also don’t notice nearly as much ickiness or disdain over somebody who’s mixed white/Asian or white/Hispanic.
I do think that it has to do with a special disdain for blacks, that you just don’t see elsewhere. Just looking at American history, the One Drop Rule and this obsession with purity mainly was meant to apply to black people, not necessarily other non-white groups.
I also think that it’s easier for whites to be comfortable with Indians because, quite frankly, there aren’t that many of them. With Hispanic mestizos and Indios, you have a large demographic that’s gaining political power, taking jobs, and changing the cultural landscape. As a result, whites regard them as a menacing presence.

        18. Even as a WN, I’m ashamed of my fellow whites at times, and hearing the name Sarah Palin only increases my shame.
Although, I think (or by god, I at least hope) that she will not become president.

        19. Palin didn’t achieve success on her own; she was selected as VP so she got a lot of air time. Obama came out of the middle of nowhere and conned so many people into voting for him.

        20. I suggest you read “The Ecological Indian” by Shepard Krech. Krech dispels the notion that Indians lived entirely hamoniously with the environment. For example, the Great Plains were once covered in Forests. Several Plains tribes scorched these forests during the 8th century.

        21. You know, it’s ironic.
Despite the fact that the left frequently criticizes whites for their condescending/noble savage attitudes towards non-whites like Indians, they engage in post romantic noble savagery of their own.
That’s why you hear all this rhetoric about how “Indians respected the environment and saw themselves as belonging to the earth, North America was a beautiful land until whites raped it, Indians were more humane and gentle,” etc.
Nope, Indians fought each other, enslaved one another, and were constantly at each other’s throats. You could say that whites were just a much larger, more powerful tribe.

        22. “Palin didn’t achieve success on her own; she was selected as VP so she got a lot of air time. ”
Sure, but why do people go so crazy for her? More people wanted her as president than John McCain.
“Obama came out of the middle of nowhere and conned so many people into voting for him.”
Not really. He was a ‘rising star’ at the 2004 democratic convention and made a major speech. After words I remember seeing many pundits say he could be president, they just didn’t realize how quickly that would occur. Also, Hilary was seen as a traitor by many on the left for supporting the Iraq war. Once Obama won the primary the presidency was guaranteed. Who the fuck was going to vote for another republican after 8 years of Bush.

        23. “Are you sure that this was totally about looks and doesn’t have anything to do with the fact that light skinned blacks have white ancestors and therefore were considered somewhat better.”
Keep in mind many darker blacks have white ancestors too. When your genepool is mixed, in the case of black Americans being mostly African but with some European and indigenous blood, you will find all kinds of combinations. I look like a regular, average black guy, not African dark, but still dark-skinned. My sister has very light skin and when she grows her hair out and perms it, it’s wavy and she could probably pass for mulatta. My mom is light skinned and my dad is maybe a tinge lighter than me. So when you have this kind of mixture in the genepool, it’s not always easy to guess who is what by looking at them.
This “black” Brazilian guy Nequinho da Beija Flor, you’d look at him and probably guess he’s at least 85% African if not more: http://www.musicapopular.org/imagens/nequinho_da_beija-flor_MPO.jpg
But he had a DNA test and found that his genes are mostly European. Since only a small sliver of our genes determine what we look like externally, looks can sometimes be very deceiving.
Here is the link to the study on the DNA of some famous Afro-Brazilians: http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/6284806.stm

        24. “Keep in mind many darker blacks have white ancestors too.”
But also keep in mind that not a whole lot of the general public know a lot about genetics and for the majority of american history genetics were not even discovered or widely studied. I’m talking about the way people perceive people, not what the people actually are.

        25. @ Wade
Oh yes, I forgot about the 2004 Democratic convention.
Still, to so quickly go from that to president really does speak volumes. The media (with the exception of conservative outlets like Fox) and various celebrities also went gaga over Obama.

      2. BAG, I’m not going to argue with you. My post is addressed to people who consider themselves non-racist who think it’s okay to use racial slurs even in private. If you are a racist and openly proud of it, then obviously I’m not talking to you as we clearly have no values in common with which to have consensus. So you can skip over my posts on this subject as there’s no point in discussing them with a white nationalist.

        1. Hey, fair enough.
It’s relaxing not having to argue with blacks anyway.
And yes, we do have absolutely zero in common.

    3. “retarded people”
Honestly, I can’t see the problem with making fun of retarded people. Everyone gets a laugh…even the retard!

      1. Gary the Retard, a recurring character with Down Syndrome on the Howard Stern Show is paid for his appearances so I guess he gets the last laugh.

  8. I’ve only used the word a few times in my life outside of a reference to that word, and it was only because I was extremely mad at a black person.
The thing about the word that most blacks don’t understand is that we use it in the same way we’d use “motherfucker” to describe anyone else who pisses us off. When you’re mad at someone you instinctively go for the most hurtful jab you can find. When people have been mad at me they call me a “redheaded bitch” or “pale ass motherfucker” because they think it will hurt my feelings and affect me the most. It’s like “cunt” for a woman. When you’re mad at someone and expressing anger towards them, it’s not like you’re going to sit there and hedge your speech to make sure you don’t cross a certain line. It’s balls to the wall.
Unfortunately, nigger is the only word like that that shuts down all conversation. If you say nigger, even though the black person you’re aiming it at deserves to have anger thrown at them, you become the bad guy no matter what.

    1. Funny how you guys seem to have all these heat of passion arguments with people where you want to throw out racial slurs. Maybe YOU and your temper are the problem. I can’t even remember the last time I had an argument where I had to call someone any sort of name. It just doesn’t happen. I guess some people attract drama and some don’t.
There are ways of de-escalating confrontation long before it even gets to that point. It also helps that I’m not a particularly emotional person anyway and tend to have a somewhat detached, rational demeanor no matter what the situation.

      1. Well Tulio, maybe you’re right.
As my friends, whites and non-white alike have pointed out, I have an intense and emotional personality.
(though they were referring more to my intense concentration while playing Starcraft 2!)

      2. Tulio,
it’s not as if this happens each day. on my blog, i recently wrote about an incident where my girlfriend was shoved by a black guy at the store where she works after she caught him stealing. i used the word “nigger” then when fuming about the incident after she told me.
and as for the tendency to get riled up over things, i’ll take that any day instead of being some humanist doormat who “sees good in everyone” and gives everybody the benefit of the doubt. if you’re an asshole you deserve to be called an asshole.

        1. I might have called him a nigger too under these circumstances.* Fact is, he the Black guy who did this *is* a nigger! I subscribe to the Cris Rock School of Niggerology. Real simple: There’s Blacks and there’s niggers. If you’re a decent Black person, you’re not a nigger, so don’t worry about it. If you’re a Black scumbag, yeah, you’re a nigger, sorry. Don’t want to be a nigger anymore? No problem, start acting better!
*It’s not a word I use much, and generally I only use it in private. Sometimes I feel guilty about using the word, and other times I don’t. In general, I’m just not into the word because it’s so ugly, so I often don’t use it against many Blacks for whom it is more than appropriate.

          1. Decent Black people know that sometimes it doesn’t take much for them to be demoted to “nigger.”

  9. “Hey, hillbilly!! That’s a great derogatory word for white people, ha.”
I think what most upper class white people fail to realize is that Hillbilly and Redneck are not really seen as offensive to most Hillbillies; Jeff Foxworthy is a good example. I use both terms to describe myself and my family all the time. There is actually a history behind both names, and they did not start out as derogatory. Hillbilly just means hill folk, and redneck came from the red bandannas the coal miners wore around their neck when they rioted against the coal industry.
White trash is almost always seen as derogatory though, no matter what culture you grew up in.

      1. Hehe. Good one, Wade!
        @ Chic Noir
I do think it depends on the type of white, but I think in general, even white liberals, deep down inside, don’t really like blacks that much.
My mother is exhibit A in this regard. She hated Arizona’s law, she denounces bigoted attitudes, even proclaiming that “people need to move into the 21st century,” etc.
And yet you can just tell that she doesn’t like blacks and feels uncomfortable around them. She sees blacks as aggressive, rude, uneducated, etc. I remember when I was going through my wigger phase in middle school (as a result of me being impressionable and having contact with blacks), she yelled at me, “you want to be like a stupid black kid in the ghetto?!”
She’s particularly averse to black women, regarding them as confrontational, rude, having a chip on their shoulder, etc.
Her experiences with rough black women while riding BART have also colored (pun intended) her views of blacks.
Anyway, most white people, even liberals, don’t exactly like black people. And if they do supposedly love blacks, chances are they don’t actually live around too many black people.
But in all honesty, who can really blame them?

        1. We don’t have a problem with racism at all. They are a very small minority in most of New England, so they have to behave.

        2. They are a very small minority in most of New England, so they have to behave.
Same with the blacks at my UC, and that’s just the way I like it!
(though occasionally, the BSU does their protest)
I actually see the wisdom behind Robert’s whole “a black a block/spread em out and civilize em” attitude.
In very small numbers, blacks are tolerable. It’s in places like Oakland, where they’re large in number, that you really see the TNB come out.

        3. “(though occasionally, the BSU does their protest)”
They did this once at MU a few years ago. During the 1-1:50 class we heard the very loud noise of several hundred people walking by yelling. Apparently it was some kind of ‘friendship march’ or something, but all I could remember thinking is “Are you fucking stupid?”

        4. Honestly speaking, most college protests are absolutely useless, accomplish nothing, and are little more than an opportunity for shock-hungry radicals to get some action.
Something tells me that they like it when cops overreact and use excessive force.
That gives them something to rally behind.

  10. “I actually see the wisdom behind Robert’s whole “a black a block/spread em out and civilize em” attitude.”
Don’t tell them that though. That would produce a backfire Even the upper class assimilated blacks would riot in the streets.

  11. I use that word most often when talking about Black ‘n Milds. Round here they’re often known as “nigger cigs,” or “nigcigs” for short, or sometimes “Nigger ‘n Milds.” Don’t know if it’s like that out West.
I do remember the first time I said nigger. I was probably 6 or so years old and learned it from a little Black kid at the public pool who said “you fuckin’ nigger!” to his little brother. Later when my little brother was annoying me I shouted “you fuckin’ nigger!” My mom was appalled, demanded to know where I learned the word and told me never to say it again, lol. First use of fuck and nigger all in one.

    1. It’s used that way here too, but we use it in a different way. In general, most Whites here just will not use nigger to describe Blacks, no matter who they are or what they did. In addition, you can’t use the word freely around Whites you don’t know well. A lot of them might get angry. So it’s a word that you simply don’t hear all that much here in California. There’s a taboo against it. Now whether Hispanics or Blacks themselves use nigger, I don’t know. You have to ask them.
But similar to your example, there is a phrase here called “nigger-rigging”. It’s kind of a joke. No one thinks of Black people when you say it. If you don’t have the money to fix something right, then you just jerry-rig it, or fix it in some halfassed but ingenious way that will do for now. That’s called “nigger-rigging it.” It’s a taboo phrase, so it’s usually accompanied by this kind of submerged laughter or snickering.

  12. Yeah I’ve heard nigger-rigging it. Several of my friends and I used to just say “niggering it,” or “being niggers,” to describe anything half assed, and we even had one black friend who used this more than us (though he was Egyptian and pretty much despised most American Blacks, hated when people thought he was one etc.).
I almost forgot a very common use, “nigger-lipping,” which is getting too much saliva on something shared, such as a bowl, joint, cigarette, drink etc. “Ugh your slobber is all over it, how many times do I have to tell you– don’t nigger-lip it!”

    1. Yeah people used to say niggerlipping in reference to someone who sucked on a joint too hard with their mouth and left saliva on it. I haven’t heard that one in 20-30 years. It’s a pot-smoking faut pas along the lines of bogarting a joint = hogging too much of it and not passing it around.
“You niggerlipped that joint, you bastard!” Uses fingers to wipe off the saliva.

  13. I NEVER hear that word used–even in the supposedly “racist” political circles in which I travel. I also never use it myself publicly.
But alone in my thoughts . . .

  14. I’ve always been unable to articulate even to myself the complexity of my position on race. All I know is that Martin L. King Jr. and Frederick Douglas are among the men I most admire, and yet I use the word nigger not infrequently. Suffice to say Atticus Finch would have sang a different tune today.

    1. You might want to read “The Real History of Slavery” by Thomas Sowell, contained in his essay collection book “Black Rednecks and White Liberals” (the titular essay is worth another read).
      In summary:
      * Slavery was universal in large societies where it was simply the bottom rung of birth-class hierarchies (monarch, noble, freedman, serf in Europe, but with similar distinctions everywhere)
      * The enslavement of West Africans by every neighboring people, including East Africans and Arabs, had been going on from time immemorial, by the time whites reached the area and joined a market that was already well established
      * The West Africans who got to the USA alive were better housed and fed and had longer life expectancy than any other life they were likely to attain (including remaining in Africa, where they likely would have been killed by their black captors)
      * The early slave-owning founders like Jefferson and Washington didn’t like slavery but didn’t believe the black slaves could be released into free society. (Others, of course, had no such moral qualms.)
      * Racism became being used as a justification for slavery after 1776, when the moral juxtaposition was no longer tenable
      * European civilization is the only one that abolished slavery on its own, and exported abolition as pat of its imperialism

      1. And slavery in non-Western societies certainly was not soft as many like to claim. Few atrocities committed in the Southern US can compare to the mass production of eunuchs under the Islamic slave system. It is estimated that only 1 out of 10 boys who experienced this procedure survived.
