A Critique of Islam

This comes from the comments section of a conservative White racist publication, American Renaissance. The comment quotes several websites, apparently all rightwing. At least one is run by anti-Muslim Jews. Let us put aside for a moment that this critique is written by our enemies, Zionists and the Right. The painful question is how much truth is there in this critique? When it comes to identity among Muslims, nationality does not count at all in comparison with culture and religion. The consequence is a powerful and growing opposition to Western culture and values in Muslim ghettos throughout Copenhagen and other major European cities. To a Muslim (as to the regional precursor peoples going back to Alexander) tribe is nation And failure to make that correct interpretation is a direct result of our legacy inheritance from a millenia of manorial feudalism because Nascere means by birth, not by land. We come from peasant serfs. Not them. Myself before my brother, we brothers before our cousins, our cousins before the tribe, the tribe before state. And all before Islam. Islam did not change these peoples exploited, exploitative, natures, it harnessed them by explicitly forbidding them any other lifestyle choice and rewarding them with breeding rights and loot for becoming part of a robber gang. Said gang takes tribute from one area, denuding it of females on a 4:1 basis of reward to warrior males. Then it recruits on the basis of pillage as genetic persistence rights in the next area over and so on and so forth. Growing as it expands. Because if you want anything from Islam, you must convert. Before the Renaissance, Islam was the most successful, expansive culture on the planet. Finding those they cannot convert or kill outright, Islamically trained young toughs today are at a complete loss for how to interact on a cop:boss:landlord level of graduated hierarchies above them because respect and dominance is their whole (rote) acquired culture. A system of warrior privilege that cannot live but that it grows through conquest. And what’s most despicable about this is that the Muslims know it quite well themselves, choosing to conceal it behind a facade of ‘Taqqiya’ or tactical disinformation. Indeed, back in 2005, shortly after the Beslan tragedy, the brother in law of the owner of Al Jazeera, himself the owner of a very influential newspaper in Kuwait, wrote a personal editorial that basically said: “Look you idiots, the whole world thinks Islam is a terrorist religion because 9 out of 10 terrorist acts in the last 10 years have been by or included Islamic indoctrinated youth. You had better get your young men under control or we will be the pariahs of the planet.” And nobody listened to him. Because he wasn’t telling a shocking unknown. What The West refuses to acknowledge is that Islam is a majority fundamentalist religion (which is to say natively extremist), of which the high-IQ, college bound, ‘Ivy League sweater wearers’ of the upper class moderates (that Islamic and particularly Iranian TV occasionally parades before the camera) are entirely non-representative. Anymore than the Kennedys are accurate reflections of our culture. Jizya (legal extortion from non-believers) payments only reinvigorate the belief that strength deserves to dominate weakness as the system or ‘racket’ by which Islam functions as a warrior cult built upon conquest. For two years I’ve been researching a book about Alexander the Great’s counter-guerrilla campaign in Afghanistan, 330-327 B.C. What struck me most powerfully is that that war is a dead ringer for the ones we’re fighting today – even though Alexander was pre-Christian and his enemies were pre-Islamic. The heart of every tribal male is that of a warrior. Even the most wretched youth in a Palestinian refugee camp sees himself as a knight of Islam. The Pathan code of nangwali prescribes three virtues: nang – pride; badal – revenge; melmastia – hospitality. These guys are Apaches. What the warrior craves before all else is respect. Respect from his own people, and, even more, from his enemy. When we of the West understand this, as Alexander did, we’ll have taken the first step toward solving the unsolvable. Islam is a revealed religion with a distinct set of unchanging rules and guidelines to follow. It is not a religion that is supposed to “come from within” like some new age religion. It seems quite incongruous to claim that one believes that Muhammad was Allah’s prophet and therefore profess to be a Muslim and then reject clear Islamic doctrine as established by Muhammad when the Qur’an demands that Muslims obey Muhammad and follow his “perfect” example. The religion is named Islam, meaning submission, because its founder, Muhammad, claimed that is the word Allah said to him in several alleged revelations. Otherwise, the religion would surely have been known as Muhammadanism or something similar.

What Went Right Set The Stage For Decline

Understanding what went wrong in the Islamic world is, perhaps, best addressed by first recognizing what went right because the initial success of Islam and its early rise to economic, political, and military power is also a primary cause of what ultimately went wrong. When Muhammad and his early followers arrived in Medina, it is clear that they were in a less than secure economic state. They had cut themselves off from the protection and support of their tribe – an act that was considered tantamount to a death sentence at the time. Moreover, this severance from their tribe’s support and protection occurred in a hostile environment. The Arabian Peninsula consists mainly of desert that, under normal circumstances, can only support a low-density population. Whether Muhammad felt that he had no other alternatives or whether he felt he had other options is something we will probably never know with certainty, but there is no question that Muhammad chose to create a society that sustained itself and advanced its interests by preying upon non-Muslims. Mohammed said: “I have been ordered to fight with the people till they say, None has the right to be worshiped but Allah, and whoever says, None has the right to be worshiped but Allah, his life and property will be saved by me…Allah made the Jews leave their homes by terrorizing them so that you killed some and made many captives. And He made you inherit their lands, their homes, and their wealth…Clearly, Muhammad viewed non-Muslims’ land and property as fair game, and his conduct established that he practiced what he preached. Instead, we see Ahmadiyya Muslims, many Sufi Muslims, and Bahai Muslims all believing they are “Muslims” when they have deviated so far from the religion Muhammad preached and practiced that Muhammad would hardly consider them Muslims. Muhammad once ordered a mosque, whose members were practicing a heretical form of Islam, burned, and his followers burned it to the ground with the heretical Muslims inside, thereby establishing in Islamic doctrine that schisms were not only not to be tolerated, but should be violently suppressed. One important answer to the question lies in an ingenious social invention arising among the early Muslims. This was a breeding system that motivated successful warriors with a great incentive to spread their faith and their culture. Bloom puts this motivation in stark terms as “the restless effort of human males to find more wombs to carry their seed.” Islam has the remarkable advantage of being highly patriarchal and polygamous with great sexual benefits for those warriors able to conquer in its name; Islam was and remains a great male racket. Furthermore, these advantages are not the temporary kind that have always been associated with warfare, but continue to exist within the peacetime new order. Warriors were not the only Muslim males sexually rewarded for advancing Islam. As seen above, Islam was also spread by trade and mercantile activity. The wealth accumulated by a successful merchant could be considerable. Thus, those responsible for promoting Islam beyond the borders of the Dar-al-Islam could also obtain the means of purchasing concubines and of affording multiple wives.

  1. Personally, I’m not too worried about Muslims.
I’m far more worried about Zionist Jews, and yet the media frequently tells us that “Islamofacism” is the enemy and that we must stand by Israel.
    Pathetic.

    1. 15 million Jews or 1.5 billion Muslims? I’m more afraid of the later, no matter their lack of influence. They can infest western countries in a matter of years. They have more “spirit” than the Jews. They’re not to be taken lightly.

  2. Robert, your critique is undoubtably true of the Arab core, but as one moves geographically and culturally farther from it, (IMO) Islam starts to act more like “just a religion” than an all-consuming ideology. Outside the Arab core, it is plausible to believe that Islamist unrest is a proxy to an ethnic or national dispute, like Pakistan, or the frustrations of poverty, like in Bangladesh.
In Wafa Sultan’s “A God Who Hates” she says that she doesn’t think Arab Islam is capable of reforming, but it could in the non-Arabic speaking lands where they just mouth empty Arabic syllables that are so much gibberish to them, or around the Mediterranean where cosmopolitan influences are strong.
A Martin Luther who convinces them that the Quran can be written in any language and needs to be interpreted in light of changing human knowledge and historical circumstances, would go a long way to reducing “malevolent” Islam to about 200 million people, instead of 1500.

    1. “A Martin Luther who convinces them that the Quran can be written in any language and needs to be interpreted in light of changing human knowledge and historical circumstances, would go a long way to reducing “malevolent” Islam to about 200 million people, instead of 1500”
First off, the turkish goverment tried years ago to issue prayers in turkish. Despite this, it is widely know that the reason turkey is still a secular country is the turkish military. The idea that non-arabs are just mouthing empty syllibles is silly too. Many have some knowledge of arabic and the koran has been translated in to several languages even if translations are not used in formal worship.
I also notice that Martin Luther’s ‘great’ reformation didn’t stop the 30 years war from happening. Protestants were often allying themselves with muslims too. Figures. The whole affair seems to have casued more problems than it solved. I also can’t see people like MArtin Luther and John Calvin having any sort of flexible interpretation that would change with the time. After all, it was the lutheran theologian Osiander who wrote that Copernicus was just ‘saving the apperance’ and wasn’t making any statement about the real world.

  3. While there is plenty that is true in this article, the type of people who write articles like this at American Renaissance display real ignorance of the diversity of Muslims.
They think every Muslim is out to crush non-Muslims and the West, and that those who don’t openly say so are only hiding it (taqqiya).
The the majority of Muslims don’t think that way. Like the average Christian, they think the whole world would be better if everyone converted to their religion, but have no real interest in making this happen. They just want to get on with their own life, and Islam is their set of rules that govern how to behave. The average Muslim doesnt really give a shit about what America or Israel does because he/she doesn’t really know much about them.
I figure that’s about 50% of the Muslim world. American Renaissance’s idea of what Muslims are like is true of about 20%, and the remaining 30% would be somewhere in between.
The problem is that the moderate 50% are susceptible to influence from the fucked-up 20% of extremists. I’ve noticed this in Indonesia in the last 10 years or so; what was only a tiny minority of radicals 30 years ago has grown in power substantially. It’s a bit like in Christians in America; moderates are too damn moderate to properly stand up to the fundamentalists who make the most noise. And it doesn’t help that in the Muslim world, the people with the money to splash around (Arabs) are often the most whacko. It also doesn’t help that heaps of non-Arab Muslims can’t shake the idea that Arabs are somehow their spiritual betters; since Islam came from Arabia, whatever Arabs do is probably the right thing. In reality the Arabs should be looking at the Turks or Indonesians for their spiritual guidance.

  4. Judaism and Islam are twin religions in my view which counter to the propaganda other than Palestine international Jewry and the Neocons have supported every single Islamic separatist/terrorist movement against non-Muslims and even moderate secular Muslim states like those in Central Asia and Iraq.

  5. America the Nation if preserved, would be discussing Islam only as an academic amusement now. America the Empire which the Founders would abhor, nervously discusses its failed attempts to destroy Islamic Culture and the repercussions thereof.

  6. You had better get your young men under control or we will be the pariahs of the planet.”
    LOL!!! 😀

    1. I know, I loved that as well.
Unfortunately the sort of people who are hardcore militants would happily be pariahs if it meant being “righteous” by their own standards. Why care what the rest of the world thinks? They are infidels. And while that editorial speaks to the (moderate) parents there are plenty of parents who see it as a badge of honour for their son to become a violent extremist.
We need billboards in hotbeds of Islamic militancy that say “If your son is a terrorist, you f*cked up as a parent.”

      1. Honestly speaking, I think that “Islamic radicalism” is really just political and national/ethnic anger wrapped in the cloak of Islam.
Just looking at Wahhabism, for instance, and you’ll see that Arab nationalism played the biggest role in the growth of that movement. In fact, the main targets of Wahhabi extremists were not Jews or Christians, but Muslims of different ethnic groups who practiced what Wahhabi’s didn’t consider “true Islam” (ie. Islam coming straight out of Arabia).
Why do I say this? I think that if we want to deal with “Islamic extremists,” we need to look at political, ethnic, and national reasons behind their grievances.

        1. seems likely. people hide their motivations all the time, and are often ignorant of their own motivations.
i was really on-board with the way the authoer mentioned the sexual motivations in Islam.

        2. Well, it is. Modern Islamism caught on in the 70’s, as a direct result of the failure of Arab Nationalism.
So, the needs of the Arab now become the needs of the Muslim. Hence, 400 million people become 1.5 billion.
It is really that simple, and I believe fragile, as well.

LOL! Indeed seeing how the regime in Qatar who financed Basayev and Khattabs invasion and massacre in Dagestan in 1999 and Chechen terrorist training camps in Azerbaijan.
      @Bay Area Guy
BS The Muslims start and create wars usually with covert US/British backing so they can expand their empire and cleanse non-Muslim population of their land or areas where they are a significant minority.
Another myth is that it is poverty that drives Muslims to become extremists where in actuality most are recruited from colleges and Universities.

  7. did anyone else snicker at “Jizya”?
i am impressed with the research behind this piece. i really like to see these names for Islamic concepts.

    1. I am not. I cringe when I hear people like this use terms they do not fully understand in a given context.
Sort of like when Americans take Karate or Kung Fu lessons, and mish-mash Asiatic terms together. 🙂

      1. “””Sort of like when Americans take Karate or Kung Fu lessons, and mish-mash Asiatic terms together””””
Exactly. Most westerners associate Kung fu with violence, however Jet Li has stated repeatedly that Kung Fu refers to “effort.” The term can be used in conjunction with fighting or even cooking.

  8. “What the warrior craves before all else is respect.”
i often joke with my friend how blacks constantly demand respect, when their actions don’t deserve respect.
i see fights break out on the nyc subway between two blacks because one or the other didn’t display the proper “respect”.

  9. Oh boy, there’s so many things wrong here. I won’t have time to go over them all. The AR truly is full of crap.
    @ BAG
Your partially correct. However, Wahabism was NOT arab nationalism. Wahab was despised by his peers because he played a large part in eradicating hijazi culture. Genuine arab nationalism, such as Nasser’s ideology was despised by the west and hence the support for Israel in 1967. It was an opportunity to strike at the hated Non aligned Movement.
“””When it comes to identity among Muslims, nationality does not count at all in comparison with culture and religion.””””
Completely false. This applies primarily to Pakistanis who have renounced their Indian heritage and hence Pakistan is in the mess that it is. A highly artificial society with no identity. It doesn’t apply to other Muslims. Persians are fond of saying that they have been Muslims for a 1000 years, but Persians for 5000 years. Pashtuns say that as well. I place my Indian identity before Islam, as do most Indian Muslims. South Indian Muslims are indistinguishable from their Hindu neighbours. Truly the AR has succumbed to orientalist tendencies by homogenizing Islam.
“I have been ordered to fight with the people till they say, None has the right to be worshiped but Allah,
An oft quoted verse by the haters. The term used in this ayah is ‘Jihad’ which means a struggle. Muslims are supposed to preach and win their enemies over. THAT is the struggle. The Arabic word for war is حرب (harb) which does NOT appear in the Quran anywhere. There is also a tradition which states that Ali was going to name his first born son ‘Harb.’ The prophet strongly voiced his disapproval.
The rest of the critique by the AR is just garbage. It fails to realize that Islam too adapted, changed and accommodated the various ideas and traditions from other cultures. The religion evolved. The sheer diversity of thought during the Abbasid Dynasty was staggering. The philosophical debates between the Asharites and Muttazilites about free will, to the debates on Greek philosophy between Ghazli and Rushd, to the agnosticism of Ibn Rawandi to the homosexual poetry of Abu Nuwas. The caricature of Islam presented by the AR shows us a static cult incapable of change. This image is ahistorical. AR’s knowledge of Islam is stuck in the 7th century.
Articles such as these betray the great divide between Acedemia and mainstream culture. Such a shame.

    1. “Articles such as these betray the great divide between Acedemia and mainstream culture. Such a shame.”
Demz iz juz lib’rollz. Ann Coulter told me so.

    2. “Your partially correct. However, Wahabism was NOT arab nationalism. Wahab was despised by his peers because he played a large part in eradicating hijazi culture”
It appears that Wahhabism is involved in killing cultures all over the “islamic world”.
From the book “Black Earth: A Journey Through Russia After the Fall” by Andrew Meier:
“In another tent the children were listening to Musa Akhmadov. Akhmadov had written a series of books on the Chechens’ customary law, the traditions that governed relations among children and elders, lovers and enemies, known as adat. The psychiatrist had recruited the writer to spend time with the children. Adat, Akhmadov expalined, had suffered in the war. It was not a religious but a social code. “The backbone of Chechen culture” he called it. Since the chechen’s earliest days, adat had drawn the lines between right and wrong. But in the tirmoil of the years of war, a new code – Shari’a – the Islamic religious law imported by young men with beards who called themselves Wahhabis had threatened the continuum of adat. Wahhabism, a strict form of fundamentalist islam that originated in Saudi Arabia, had been carried to Chechnya from the Arab diaspora. The two were incompatible, Akhmadov said. He feared tha tthe youjgest refugees, with no knowledge of the laws of old, would fall prey to the Wahhabis. The children, the writier worried, would lose their Chechen heritage in tents.

      1. (Continued)
As we walked outside, threading among the children, Idrisov did not smile. After the first war he had believed it was the Chechens’ fault. “We’d won our freedom,” he said, “but hadn’t learned how to use it.” Now he thought differently. This new round had convinced him. “Look around you,” he said. “The Russians don’t want our land or out oil or our mountains. They want us to die out.””

        1. I think some things have gotten better since this book was written in 2003.
          From 2006:
          http://www.nytimes.com/2006/05/24/world/europe/24grozny.html?_r=1
“A Whirling Sufi Revival With Unclear Implications ”
“The Sufis resisted the influx of Wahhabis who came to fight Russia beside them, but whose version of Islam aligned more closely with that of the Afghan Taliban.
Mr. Kadyrov said in an interview that he hoped to help restore Chechen Sufi traditions as part of an effort to preserve Chechen culture. He has reopened the roads to Ertan, a village in the mountains, where Kunta-Haji Kishiyev’s mother is buried. Her grave is a shrine and a place for pilgrimages, which for years were not made. This spring the roads to Ertan are crowded with walkers, who visit the grave to circle it and pray. “

      2. Nice propaganda unfortunately it does not describe the military regime Ewok army under Military dictator General Dzhokar Dudaev who illegal set up a private army, purged all Russians from local jobs and embarked on an ethnic cleansing campaign, murder and mass rape or the Chechens historical cultural code of slavery, kidnapping and organised crime.
        Ms. Komarova, former Grozny resident.
“I worked as a pediatric nurse at Clinic #1 in Grozny. We had a nurse, named Totikova. The armed Chechens came in to her house and gunned down all the family. All my life was in fear. One day, President Dudaev raided our clinic with his armed men. He yelled that there was a Russian Genocide, because our building used to be a KGB office long ago. We were all pushed against the walls and threatened. I was not paid for 7 months. An April 1993 I had to leave the city.”

        http://conrad2001.narod.ru/english/genocide/genocide_1.htm
Not surprising as the US, Britain and others have spent millions and millions of dollars annually promoting pro Chechen propaganda.
Last December in Washington DC NED who the exiled Chechen terrorist foreign minister Ilyas Akhmadov’s who is a NED scholar including
“I’m not exaggerating when I say that one of the happiest days of my life was when I called Ilyas to tell him that he would be able to stay in America,” – Zbigniew Brzezinski

As Paul Kleibnakov in his book Godfather of the Kremlin pointed out the first Chechen war was essentially a large scale turf war of organised crime.
Chechnya which was never an independent country and a creation of Russia and historically used as a Turkish/Ottoman vassal for British control and expansion into Russia on behalf of Britain.
Islamic militants were brought into Chechnya because the Chechens with Turkey, US and other countries established crime networks inside Russia and foreign passports long before the first Chechen war.
Russia in 2005 did a good documentary about this called Plan Caucasus.
Russian Channel 1 presents a documentary ‘Plan Caucasus’ about the plan of western intelligence service to make Caucasus the battlefield between the Western world and Russia.
The reporter states that the first point was the ignition of Nagorny Karabakh conflict and then in other places of Caucasus via the nationalistic moods strengthening.
A Chechen man Abu Bakar, a news analyst of the German radio station «Freedom” in the 60s, who worked under the pseudonym Berkan Yashar, reveals the secret plans of the US Foggy Bottom. Baker was enrolled by the USA, and even after he left ‘Freedom’ and headed for Turkey, where he became a powerful authority, Abu remained a “grey eminence”, through whom the West controlled the situation in Caucasus and financed separatists’ tribes.
He said that the plan of Chechnya annexation was backed by Germany, France, Great Britain, Turkey and Saudi Arabia. His words were proved with pictures of money, printed in Germany that might still be in the Munich factory, and fake passports, printed in France.
His words are confirmed by some other people. Thus, Shamseddin Yusef, the Foreign Secretary in Dudaev’s government, says: “CIA people even took us to London. Then the war in Iraq started. They planned to take over Chechnya after the victory in Iraq, but that war didn’t finish as soon as they predicted.
Neither does Richard Perl, the ex- US Ministry of Defense counselor and one of the key strategists of the war in Iraq, conceal the fact that America tried to give spiritual and financial support to Dudaev.
The reporter also states, that Western powers pursued in Caucasus not only political, but financial interest as well. Since 1992 with Jokhar Dudaev’s help there operated a contraband canal that exported to the West Russian diamonds and gold. For the right to drive it through Chechnya Dubaev got a quarter of the profit received from diamonds’ gem-cutting and selling.
After the airport in Grozny was shut in 1994, Berkan changed the scheme of diamonds transportation and started to put them across Pankiyskoe clove to Turkey.
Akhmed, one of Dudaev’s mates, states that the bloody story of Chechen diamonds goes on even now. The money, saved between the First and Second Chechen Wars, was put in the diamond mines of Africa.
The input of money into these mines gives enormous profits to Akhmed Zakaev and Whice Akhmadov, the man, whose name was mentioned in relation to Badri Patarkacishvili’s death.”

The so called “genocide “ in a recent Washington Post hit piece article has now put the number of called in both wars at 50,000 initially cited at an impossible 250,000 then 100,000-200,000 and then 100,00+ which was the exact same changing numbers cited during the Bosnian and Kosovo war.
No surprise as the same PR firm Rudder and Finn(Jewish) both represents the Chechens and the Bosnians.
We know at least half are Russian and non Chechen which I don’t know if that is included in this number from pro Chechen source which would likely include those listed as killed Chechen militants and families who have moved abroad to jihadists areas like the tribal region of Pakistan and Kosovo, targets of organised crime, disease, population decline (which has actually increased) comparable to the overall population decline for Russia during the same period, etc.
