Anything on the Right Worth Supporting? Well, Yeah

A commenter notes that the Far Right and Far Left advocate similar things, at least in the US. But that’s not the case at all.

Rob, what’s wrong with taking the good out of the left and the right and mixing it up? Perhaps the far left and far right are realizing that their real enemies are not each other, but the corrupt, plutocratic ruling class?

Far Right is Tea Parties, Libertardian Party and the Republitard Party as a whole. They most certainly do not support an attack on the plutocrats!

I support the Right on some things.

  • I’m for a hard crackdown on illegals.
  • I’m also for amending the 14th amendment to get rid of the anchor baby phenomenon.
  • I want to get rid of treacherous ethnic studies programs in high schools like the ones in Arizona.
  • I’m for a judicial decision amending the Civil Rights Act on “disparate impact.” This has gone too far, and it’s just nuts.
  • I want to end the Hindu 1-B program.
  • I advocate marriage licenses for parents, though it’s not happening.
  • I agree that there are intelligence difference between the races, at the moment anyway. Maybe not forever.
  • I want IQ tests for prospective immigrants from lands that are producing large numbers of problem immigrants to the US.
  • I think that PC anti-racism has gone seriously too far to the point of insanity, and that’s it’s now little more than anti-White racism.
  • I think there are hate crimes against Whites, job discrimination against Whites and hate propaganda racism against Whites, hence Whites are at some times and places anyway a persecuted race on account of their ethnicity.
  • I think the racial makeup of a city, more than income level, explains more in terms of its crime rate and desirability as a living space.
  • I believe the high Black crime rate may be in part genetically based, but is by no means inevitable at any rate, as culture modifies genes.
  • I believe that Gypsies are a criminal race.

I’ve been told that these are all a rightwing positions. So be it.

You know what the weird thing is though? Among White liberals here in California (and I spent my whole life with these people) if you get them behind closed doors when no one is listening, they will agree with me on a large number of these “rightwing” ideas. But it’s not something they will talk about in public. And they all voted for Obama anyway.

  1. Rob, the Tea Party and Republicans are just mainstream conservatards, not the REAL far right.
The real far right is more Tom Metzger or Jeff Rense than Juan McCain.

    1. I’m really terrible on this question. Some people are such incompetents and fuckups that they need to be denied either the right to have kids or the right to raise them. They’re only going to raise fuckups and monsters, mostly monsters. I see the evidence walking around me every day around here.

The worst ones all come from the same families, always headed by a single Mom. Something’s gone wrong in that family. I can think of at least one case where the woman is simply a bad mother. She ought to have her kids taken away. She’s raising nothing but criminals.

  2. Lindsay, Obama did a lot of damage to the image of the Democratic party among working class whites with his race rhetoric, condescending nature, Chicago style politics, and his monopoly on the public education system.

    1. Rightwing nonsense, Olive. I know you’re a conservative though. None of this is true. The Whites are just racists, and they would oppose Obama no matter what he did. He’s a proud Black man who stands up for his people, and those Whites won’t have any of that for dinner.

      1. He’s a proud Black man who stands up for his people

Hmm, that’s interesting, considering many black activists/anti-racists think that Obama refuses to stick up for black people, lectures them on illegitimacy/other pathologies while not attacking other groups, and refuses to address black issues.

If Obama’s a black man who sticks up for blacks (at least in public), then Tulio (whom I consider to be pretty reasonable, even for a CRT) is Marcus Garvey!

On a racial level, many black activists/scholars, including Michael Eric Dyson, Boyce Watkins, and others think that Obama’s throwing them under the bus.

        1. On a racial level, many black activists/scholars, including Michael Eric Dyson, Boyce Watkins, and others think that Obama’s throwing them under the bus.

Everybody wants something from the man and he only has so much to give. Obama only has 1/3 of the power. The other two thirds are divided amongst the Supreme court and the US congress. If more people took the time to learn how our government works, they wouldn’t be expecting Obama to part the red sea like he’s Moses.

Look I know chic noir ain’t the sharpest crayon in the box*peanut brain rattles* but we have some really ignorant and stupid fucking people in this country. They have no sense of self or direction. They want everything to be breast feed to them. They refuse to think for themselves and they’ll sooner cut off their noses to spite their faces.

        2. I think the problem is that many idealistic liberals (especially my fellow young people) thought that Obama would somehow be able to magically wave a wand and usher in hope and change.

That’s another reason why, despite despising their Cultural Marxism and other radicalism, I respect far leftists more than your average liberal.

The far leftists, at places such as counterpunch, could see through the BS and bravado and recognize that Obama wouldn’t really be changing much.

The problem with Obama, or at least his campaign/the media image of his campaign, is that he’s created unrealistic expectations.

To me, Obama is not a problem. I’m currently reading “The Israel Lobby and U.S. Foreign Policy,” and to me there are forces beyond the control of mere presidents.

That’s why I think the Tea Party is nuts for railing against Obama and “Socialism,” when the real problems have little if anything to do with Obama.

Even WN’s don’t spend a ton of time talking about Obama, and in fact, some of them even think that Obama’s simply a stooge for Rahm Emanuel and the Zionist lobby, and that good ol’ Rahm is the de facto president.

Anyway, to me, mainstream liberalism and mainstream conservatism are both idiotic.

Even though I strongly disagree with the far left (you already know what I don’t like about them), and find a good amount of WN views troubling (ie. their embrace of Libertarian economics, their HBD determinism, their dogmatic beliefs that all black women are ugly, etc), they both make a helluva lot more sense/are at least willing to honestly tackle controversial issues than your average mainstream liberal or conservative.

      1. Yeah, that kind of puzzled me as well.

Obama only talks about race when HE ABSOLUTELY HAS TO, such as his Philly speech.

He doesn’t want to make waves or foster real change. He’s just another politician who’s interested in himself.

        1. To clarify, I’m not saying that Obama should embrace the opposite attitude and go on a black agenda crusade (as someone with my background, I certainly wouldn’t want him to do that!).

My overall point is that be it race, Israel, bailouts for bankers, or other issues, Obama seems content to go along with the status quo, be it “liberal” or “conservative.”

        2. He doesn’t want to make waves or foster real change.

BAG, well he’s trying to foster change but he’s got so many people who are out for his blood for the hell of it.

which reminds me, I need to see a copy of Beck’s “I have a dream speech” .

BAGHe’s just another politician who’s interested in himself.

I don’t think he’s intersted in only himself. He’s trying to be the first postracial president.

        3. which reminds me, I need to see a copy of Beck’s “I have a dream speech” .

Lol! Glenn Beck. Everyone hates him, whether they’re liberals, anti-racists, or white nationalists.

He’s laughing all the way to the bank, and his ignorant white conservative followers are too foolish to realize it.

Both liberals such as John Stewart, and WN’s such as The Political Cesspool have both done good jobs at poking fun at Beck.

BAG, well he’s trying to foster change but he’s got so many people who are out for his blood for the hell of it.

True, both domestic (Tea Party) and abroad (Obama initially objected to Israeli misconduct, but good ol’ Benny Netanyahu put him back in line), people want him to fail.

Others don’t think that he’s doing enough for them.

That’s why I’m glad I’m an anonymous commenter, as opposed to a mainstream politician. I can say a lot more that way!

        4. In general, I think the Tea Party people are silly.

It seems that both leftists and WN’s agree with my assertion.

In general, I don’t have a high opinion of mainstream liberals or conservatives.

  3. I guess monopoly was not the right term but Im a believer in Separation between school and state. Lindsay mentioned removing ethnic studies programs from schools, but I also think it should not be compulsory for students to study a liberal arts curriculum in high school. Emphasize should be put on Communication skills, Business and Finance, Computer literacy, and vocational training.

  4. You’re speaking of “right” from an America-centric point of view. What about right as it is defined in other nations? For example, in America, abortion is a right-left fracture line. In W. Europe, it is not. Pretty much everyone accepts it. Social welfare in Europe is also not the right-left divider that it is in the USA, at least not at nearly the same intensity. Ditto for religion. The American right is more peculiar than the global right.

    1. American left is European right, American right is European far-right / fascist.

      Sigh, American politics is insane.

      1. Not necessarily. Even the far-right Europeans are much more skeptical of neoliberal capitalism and globalization. There is something peculiar about this country where libertardian thinking is considered sane, whereas anywhere else, it would considered mental asylum territory. For instance, Le Pen in France actually gave a shit about French workers.

        1. I think that’s why the far right and other right wing organizations enjoy more success in Europe.

The BNP in Britain, for example. Le Pen’s party has also done well in France.

Unlike Conservatards/Libertarians here in the states, far rightists/nationalists in Europe actually give a crap about your average citizen.

In general, Americans, regardless of ideology, could learn a lot by learning about world history and the world around them.

        2. Libertardians, with the exception of Ron Paul, are just simply corporatist plutocrats. Would you agree? They turned on a dime and supported bank bailouts, suddenly forgetting this violated free competition and free markets.

        3. I’m not a big fan of libertarians.

It’s economic elitism camouflaged as “individual liberty.”

        4. They actually don’t care too much about freedom either, since they advised US puppet dictators in South America like Pinochet. There definition of “freedom” is the freedom of the rich parasites to squeeze everybody else. They just don’t give a flying fuck how ordinary people are doing.

        5. Europe and in this case France has been around a lot longer. They’ve already been thru this capitalism phase. and you see where they are now right?

For instance, Le Pen in France actually gave a shit about French workers.

the French don’t take much shit from their workplace “betters”.

Anyone remember reading about how a group of French workers help their supervisor captive because they didn’t like their compensation package?

        6. I agree, the right in Europe is quite different economically from the American right. The European right is isolationist too. Jacque Chirac was conservative, but to Americans, he was a liberal.

    2. The American right is more peculiar than the global right.

      Co-sign.

American “liberalism” is also different from world wide liberalism. Global liberalism (at least in Europe and Africa) is more similar to 19th century style liberalism (ie. free market, individual liberty, etc).

I do think a post exploring the various manifestations of “liberalism” and “conservatism” is in order.

But yeah, I agree with David that American politics is insane There really needs to a viable 3rd party, 4th party, anything to break up this two party stranglehold!

Other parts of the world have far greater diversity of political parties and opinion. Politically speaking, we’re a laughing stock.

  5. The government should not have a right to determine the curriculum. Students can easily be manipulated and Obama’s choice of Arne Duncan, highlights that.

      1. Chic Noir
I think students should be encouraged to pursue independent studies as early as middle school so that they can get an unbiased view and different viewpoints should not be discouraged. Schools should teach basic, non controversial subjects like Communication skills, Business and Finance, Computer Literacy and Vocational Skills.

  6. Olive- I didn’t mean that you were stupid when I wrote that comment. I apologize if it comes off that way.

BAG That’s why I think the Tea Party is nuts for railing against Obama and “Socialism,” when the real problems have little if anything to do with Obama.

Well that you for admitting this BAG. Some people are so much in denial about this.

BAG I think the problem is that many idealistic liberals (especially my fellow young people) thought that Obama would somehow be able to magically wave a wand and usher in hope and change.

I don’t think many blk people drank this flavor of coolaid. We knew that times would be tuff going in and will remain that way for a while. I have no idea how so many otherwise bright people would believe that one man could change everything.

A big problem is lack of well paying jobs.

  7. My overall point is that be it bailouts for bankers, Obama seems content to go along with the status quo, be it “liberal” or “conservative.”

Are people aware of how bad things may have gotten had there been no bailouts?

Robert would you write a bit about that please.

  8. Why do you think Im conservative? Im progressive on economic and social issues. The only thing I dont like is public education.

Lindsay Obama Obama is extremely condescending to working class Americans. I saw it with white working class in Rutland, Vermont which is normally a democrat stronghold. During the campaign, he mocked uneducated and religious Americans in rural Pennsylvania.

      1. “do you mean that guns and bibles comment?”

He also said he was embarassed that Americans could not speak foreign languages.

        1. I do think that your average American should be able to speak more languages.

The main problem is that Americans are not immersed in different languages early on. By the time they are required to take foreign language classes, they’re already a bunch of restless and immature adolescents who see those languages classes as pointless torture.

I confess I cannot speak any foreign language. Though I know enough Spanish words (certain slang in particular) to joke around and have miniature conversations with my Hispanic friends!

        2. Well we do need to learn how to speak foreign languages. what’s so wrong with that? I recall reading when a higher up in the EU said the same thing of people within the EU. He said most should learn 3-4 languages besides there native tongue.

          The Netherlands has two.

It sucks that we have to rely on largely non Americans to translate the words of the bin Laden boyz.

        3. BAG The main problem is that Americans are not immersed in different languages early on.

Yup, and we are so isolated from the rest of the world.

Olive- I didn’t think he was being insulting with the guns and bibble comment. It’s just that he thinks those people are cutting off their noses to spite their faces.

they don’t want to vote for democrats but they need the help of democrats more than anyone else does.

        4. So I guess the solution to the language problem would be to instill in them a love for language very early on.

All I know is that by the time you’re required to take language courses, you see it as an unnecessary burden and think it’s pointless.

The importance of languages has to be established since DAY ONE.

  9. Lindsay, everyone with half a brain knows that Obama used his race to get elected, took advantage of poor blacks in Chicago and later all over the country.

      1. The only reason he went to Jeremiah Wright’s church is to get a voter base. He pretended he was one of the community.

        1. He joined that church for political reasons, and he left for political reasons.

But should anyone be surprised? He’s a politician, simple as that.

        2. Jeremiah was very close tp Obama. He served as a sort of father figure to Obama.

Obama looks like one of the community and he has a warm nature(rare for a man) that makes people like him.

    1. Ooh…that’s a very metropolitan New York up your arse snooty middle class bitch viewpoint Olive. Obama can’t deliver, that’s the point. However his campaign brought those poor blacks in Detroit and Chicago into the American political process perhaps for the first time ever. I doubt they’ll forget that, however disappointed they feel now.

      1. Ooh…that’s a very metropolitan New York up your arse snooty middle class bitch viewpoint Olive

jacob, for a minute there I thought you were posting about me.

        *chic noir shudders*

      2. Which comment were you refering to? And how is it snooty?

I never said Obama cant deliver. I said he hurt the image of the democratic party.

“However his campaign brought those poor blacks in Detroit and Chicago into the American political process perhaps for the first time ever.”

He gave them a false sense of hope. And hes very insensitive to the midset of poor black Americans who cant afford such lavish lifestyles. During the biggest recession since the 1930’s, he takes all these expensive vacations and rents the most expensive houses and has the media publicize everything. His wife wears the most flashy clothes and poses on every magazine cover.
The one good thing I can say about Bush is that he never publicized his lavish lifestyle. Nobody cared when he went on vacations, people actually criticized him for neglecting his duties in office. Laura wore very plain clothes and was not involved in politics.

        1. olive are you trolling? cause now you’re saying things that you can’t possibly believe.

Nobody cared when he went on vacations, people actually criticized him for neglecting his duties in office.

Are you serious? Why about what happened with New Orleans? What about how he behaved during and after 9/11?
and he was criticized for taking more vacation time than any other president.

Laura wore very plain clothes and was not involved in politics.

Laura wore very expensive clothes. Two of her favorite designer was Oscar de la Renta &Carolina Herrira who are far more expensive than many of the designers whom Michelle wears.

Michelle wears J Crew pretty often. What designer did Laura wear who was from the same price range?

Michelle isn’t involved in politics, that’s how she’s avoided the Hillary Clinton curse.

he takes all these expensive vacations and rents the most expensive houses and has the media publicize everything.

he doesn’t have the media publicize everything. the media do that because he’s the president.

As far as expensive, lets be honest, he’s the president. do you want him to stay at the Holliday Inn?

His wife poses on every magazine cover.

That’s free and she seems to sell magazines so she’s helping many people in the publishing industry keep jobs.

        2. olife He gave them a false sense of hope.

No he didn’t. We didn’t drink the koolaid. We don’t see him as a Mosses figure.

And hes very insensitive to the midset of poor black Americans who cant afford such lavish lifestyles.
many poor blks don’t see things the same way.

          Olive what race are you?

        3. Kennebunk Port is a nice quaint town but Hyannis is a pit. Its main attraction is hooters, mini golf, and crappy souveneir shops.

        4. Which comment were you refering to? And how is it snooty?

“took advantage of poor blacks in Chicago…” –
          doesn’t that sound snooty?

Agree with you about Obama’s condescending manner. I like him less and less.

And I don’t think you are snooty in the least in general. You come over as a very likeable, nice and compassionate woman. I’m sorry if I misunderstood you.

      3. Chic Noir
Im not a troll. I never said I liked George Bush just that he never cared about the spotlight. He did a lot of damage while in office but he never showed off.
But Obama and his wife crave the spotlight. Every time his family goes on vacation to Hawaii, they have to rent a 9 Million dollar house and there is always an article and photographs about it in the Huffington Post. Sorry about the comment about Laura, I wasnt aware of the clothes Laura wore just that she had a terrible fashion sense.

        1. The Bush “just folks” demeanor, including the fake Texas accent, was a cynical attempt to pander to the Republican base, and phony as a 3 dollar bill. I’m no fan of the corporatist Obama, but at least he doesn’t pretend to be Joe Sixpack the way Bush did. I hate people who think I’m stupid enough to buy that bullshit. Clearing brush my ass.

Where is the president supposed to stay at on vacation anyway, Motel 6? I don’t believe the Obamas own a big-ass Maine compound or 1600 acre ranch like the Bush family does, so they have to rent some nice digs somewhere. The Bush family owns their own resorts. Hate to go Tim Wise on your ass, but it’s funny how white ultra-affluence has a sort of invisibility. It’s considered normal for them to move in the elite circles they do because they’re old (white) money. They’re from “good people”, not uppity strivers like the Obamas.

Bush’s administration (like Obama’s) was infested with Monsanto creeps, but Laura allowed only organic, non-GMO foods in the White House. Think about that the next time you eat some Funyuns.

If Obama acted more down to earth, he’d be derided as non-presidential, just as Jimmy Carter was in his wool cardigan. I don’t like Obama because he’s a neoliberal shill, but I see how he can’t win with some people no matter what.

Crave the spotlight? Uh, he’s the leader of the free world. You don’t run for president unless you have an ego the size of Greenland.

  10. BAG That’s why I’m glad I’m an anonymous commenter, as opposed to a mainstream politician. I can say a lot more that way!

    here here!

Which makes me think that unless you’ve managed to make you’re way in the oligarchy, you’re just fighting for a smaller and smaller piece of moldy bread.

  11. Chic Noir
Regardless of the reasons he said it, he still alienated a lot of white working class Americans.
I never said it wasnt important to learn foreign languages I just think he should be more sensitive when he speaks so as not to alienate a voter base. If youre running for President of the United States, dont say youre embarassed by Americans.

      1. BAG, he speaks none fluently but he can recall a few words from his step fathers language.

olive Regardless of the reasons he said it, he still alienated a lot of white working class Americans.

can you deny that there was some truth in what he said?

If youre running for President of the United States, dont say youre embarassed by Americans.
I don’t recall reading that he said he was embarassed by Americans. Do you have a link?

        1. can you deny that there was some truth in what he said?

          Lol!

Hate to say it, Chic Noir, but politicians, regardless of party or ideology, don’t score points for telling the truth.

  12. Libertarianism is not right-wing. It is not right-wing among other things because of its opposition to laws restricting adult consensual sexual relationships and drug use, and its opposition to imposing religious views or practices and compulsory military service.

    1. On the contrary, the larger the population, the more important Libertarianism is to keep order.

The difference between Libertarianism and all other Statist political doctrines is that while Libertarianism is ultimately a pacifistic ideology, Statists ideologies have to increase violence to enforce their political doctrines as populations diversify and grow.

      1. I’d like to hear more about your plan to privatize roads. That doesn’t sound very pacifistic.

        Git off mah road!

        1. Let’s have a look at Mr. Block:

          http://mises.org/daily/3416

Do not be misled by the oft-made contention that the actual cause of highway fatalities is speed, drunkenness, vehicle malfunction, driver error, etc. These are only proximate causes. The ultimate cause of our dying like flies in traffic accidents is that those who own and manage these assets supposedly in the name of the public — the various roads bureaucrats — cannot manage their way out of the proverbial paper bag. It is they and they alone who are responsible for this carnage.

This does not mean that, were thoroughfares placed in private hands, the death toll would be zero. It would not. But, at least, every time the life of someone was tragically snuffed out, someone in a position to ameliorate these dangerous conditions would lose money, and this tends, wonderfully, to focus the minds of the owners. This is why we do not have similar problems with bananas, baskets, and bicycles, or the myriad other goods and services supplied to us by a (relatively) free-enterprise system.

          Eh, no.

          http://www.fhwa.dot.gov/publications/publicroads/95winter/p95wi14.cfm

This study notes that only 3 percent of accidents are due solely to the roadway environment, 57 percent solely to drivers, 2 percent solely to vehicles, 27 percent to the interaction between road environment and drivers, and 3 percent to the interaction of the environment-driver vehicle. Taken at face value, this suggest that road-related elements are associated with 34 percent of crash causation.

The mechanics of payment and endless toll-booths alone for thousands of roads in the US would be a nightmare.

      2. The power of Libertarianism and anti-Statism is seen in the hordes of impoverished Swedes and French desperately trying to emigrate to black ghettos in the United States due to the vastly higher standard of living found there.

        1. Your assumption that, within developed countries, higher per capita income and lower average unemployment always yields higher standards of living is not accurate.

The incredibly high Gini coefficient of the United States means that around 50% of the population over the age of 25 makes less than 25,000 dollars a year. Around 80% of financial assets in the United States is controlled by the top tenth of the population.

This is why the Western European countries in general, and Scandinavian countries in particular, outrank the United States in almost all metrics that measure quality of life or standard of living.

        2. I could go for Sweden’s 5 weeks paid vacation per year, with the legal right to get 4 weeks continuous vacation in the period between June-August if I want it.

        3. No, you don’t understand LaFleur, the Swedes are worse off than the poorest state in the United States. You know, places like Mississippi where a fifth of the population is impoverished and has no access to healthcare or decent housing?

Sweden is worse than that. Much worse. A living nightmare of Big Government Statism in action.

        4. robert Average Swedish income was around $26,000 in the late 90s compared with US around $39,000

          What’s materalism like for Sweds?
How much is a college education?
How much does health care & child care run ya?

That 13k difference may work itself out in different ways.

        5. What about those who do not wish to use public education?

The quality of state-run higher education in most European countries (as well as much of Asia) is high enough that people compete for entry into state universities, rather than private universities.

For primary and secondary schools, the situation is identical to the United States: people who can afford it and want to send their children to private schools.

  13. It gives preference to foreigners in good, high tech jobs over Americans. It’s a way for corporations to utilize cheaper labor in order to obtain greater bonuses for themselves at the expense of Americans.

I started reading “How the Economy Was Lost,” by Paul Craig Roberts and published by counterpunch.

Outsourcing AND insourcing are both killing us.

Immigration attorneys from Cohen & Grigsby explains how they assist employers in running classified ads with the goal of NOT finding any qualified applicants, and the steps they go through to disqualify even the most qualified Americans in order to secure green cards for H-1b workers. See what Bush and Congress really mean by a “shortage of skilled U.S. workers.” Microsoft, Oracle, Hewlett-Packard, and thousands of other companies are running fake ads in Sunday newspapers across the country each week.

    1. I’ll let Lafleur’s comment stand.

It’s insane. I cannot help but think that this country cares more about foreigners than its own people.

Just look at H-1b visas. Just look at the ridiculous amount of aid and support that we lend to Israel (currently reading “The Israel Lobby” by Mearsheimer and Walt), etc.

As Paul Craig Roberts once wrote, “America is for aliens.”

      1. I don’t think it’s that simple. Many foreigners are also getting the short end of the stick (to put it mildly) from American policy.

      2. Oh, of course. As an isolationist, I’m the last person to deny the harmful effects of American imperialism.

I just find it strange the way U.S. elites deliberately sabotage their own citizens in favor of foreigners. I can’t recall past empires ever doing that.

      3. I think this country has no core values or identity other than making money. We are a “proposition nation,” which the Political Cesspool and Kevin MacDonald are arguing against.

      4. They’re not in favor of foreigners. The Indians are just cheaper labor. Or were. I read an article recently that said call center workers in the US are now only making 15% more than those in India. The plan was always to bring US wages down to third world levels. So much for the labor aristocracy.

The Israel thing is a separate can of worms.

      5. Perhaps it’s not their deliberate intention to favor foreigners, but their actions have had that effect.

  15. Are you sure about the preferences? Did you know that it’s perfectly legal for employers to discriminate against non-citizens and in favor of US citizens? I’m sure that many do exactly that and more. Some even admit that they discriminate against immigrants who are US citizens.

    1. Did you know that it’s perfectly legal for employers to discriminate against non-citizens and in favor of US citizens?

Yeah, and I think they ought to do more of that!

      1. No, those who are U.S. citizens should not be discriminated against.

As for the kids, well, if they come here early, they’ll be citizens by the time they’re old enough to work.

Although I, along with almost everyone here on this blog, believe in getting rid of automatic citizenship for anchor babies.

  16. Many of the immigrants who come here as children graduate high school and cannot go to college or find good jobs. They often resort to crime.

  17. “I support the Right on some things. I’m for a hard crackdown on illegals.”

Can’t agree with this. White people, esp. Anglos need to pay up for their past deeds. Splendid job of leveling misdeeds to blacks thus far. B+ on that. Pretty decent job of leveling historical misdeeds to Asians. B on that. The natives of the Americas? D-. Close to failing. Possibly irrecoverable. But this is still work in progress. Get at least a C for that and whitey achieves orbital velocity. I do agree something needs to done about the illegal situation.

“I’m also for amending the 14th amendment to get rid of the anchor babies.”

Tough one. But gotta disagree. America is all about individual dignity, individual rights, individual freedom. A baby born here is American. Come on, this shit is what makes America, America. The parents should be allowed to have residence in the US up until the time their child becomes independent. Call it a parental visa. But they shouldn’t be given citizenship.

“I want to get rid of treacherous ethnic studies programs in high schools like the ones in Arizona.”

Absolutely not. America is a marketplace of ideas. If it can allow animal, homosexual, racist porn in the net as part of free speech, it can allow “treacherous” ethnic studies.

“I’m for a judicial decision amending the Civil Rights Act on “disparate impact.” This has gone too far and it’s just nuts.”

    I agree with you here.

“I want to end the Hindu 1-B program.”

What do you have against Indians? US should skim the Indian elite.

“I advocate marriage licenses for parents, though it’s not happening.”

I think marriage license for homosexuals is bullshit and silly. It’s not a “marriage”. Anal intercourse is not sexual intercourse. The anus is not a pussy. LOL. Idiocracy is confused here, as always.

“I agree with the Right that there are intelligence difference between the races, at the moment anyway. Maybe not forever.”

IQ is not a platonic divide. Only a statistical one. One sigma deviation is noticable. Very noticable. You can recognize a person one sig lower on IQ pretty easily. Half sig is a lot more difficult. 2 sig difference and they aren’t really living in the same mental world.

“I want IQ tests for prospective immigrants from lands that are producing large numbers of problem immigrants to the US.”

This is reasonable. No chance it will happen.

“I think that PC anti-racism has gone seriously too far to the point of insanity, and that’s it’s now little more than anti-White racism.”

Nah. I want to see the neo-Nazis suffer. PC is part of the punishment apparatus, it’s also a great informal identification or filtering device. If a person is so racist that he will endanger his social standing or job situation just so he can say nigger, kike, spic, or chink, then he probably is a white racist.

“I think there are hate crimes against Whites, job discrimination against Whites, and hate propaganda racism against Whites, hence Whites are at some times and places anyway, a persecuted race on account of their ethnicity.”

Man. No. Not close. The last time whites really tasted racial persecution was the World Conqueror’s time. Genghis’s era. The shit today is child’s play compared to that and what whites put non-whites through the last 500 years.

But that doesn’t mean whites should take steps to reduce things like black on white crime.

“I think the racial makeup of a city, more than income level, explains more in terms of its crime rate and desirability.”

I think your right here. If you are looking for Mormon levels of control and technical aptitude, then NW euros are best. Just a well run technological city then whites and NE Asians probably. But if you want some serious spice you gotta have the African in there.

“I believe the high Black crime rate may be in part genetically based, but by no means inevitable at any rate, as culture modifies genes.”

Blacks have trouble generating income in a technology based society. That’s just true.

  18. @LaFluer you were too lazy to actually read the book, so you looked for a teaser article and thought you understand his entire argument.

Mr. Block talks thoroughly about how “endless” tollbooths would not occur because it wouldn’t be in the self interest of business.

Then you threw more government statistics out while missing the point of what Mr. Block is saying: It doesn’t matter what actually causes the road-related accidents, a business would take all possible measures to prevent these deaths.

Yes, the death toll wouldn’t be zero, for perfection is denied to man. But even if a 34% decrease in deaths per year occurred, is anyone arguing this wouldn’t be better?

    1. More wisdom from Walter Block, on the subject of sexual harassment:

      http://francoistremblay.wordpress.com/2009/09/28/more-on-walter-blocks-lunatic-ravings/

Another type of pinching or sexual harassment is that between a secretary and her boss. Although to many people, and especially to many people in the women’s liberation movement, there is no real difference between this pinching and the pinching that occurs on the street, the fact is that the pinching that takes place between a secretary and her boss, while objectionable to many women, is not a coercive action. It is not a coercive action like the pinching that takes place in the public sphere because it is part of a package deal: the secretary agrees to all aspects of the job when she agrees to accept the job and especially when she agrees to keep the job. A woman walking along a public sidewalk, on the other hand. can by no means be considered to have given her permission, or tacitly agreed to be pinched. The street is not the complete private property of the pincher, as is the office. On the contrary, if the myths of democracy are to be given any credence at all, the streets belong to the people. All the people. Even including women.

There is a serious problem with considering pinching or sexual molestation in a privately owned office or store to be coercive. If an action is really and truly coercive, it ought to be outlawed. But if pinching and sexual molestation are outlawed in private places, this violates the rights of those who voluntarily wish to engage in such practices. And there is certainly nothing coercive about any voluntary sex practices between consenting adults. The proof of the voluntary nature of an act in a private place is that the person endangered (the woman, in the cases we have been considering) has no claim whatsoever to the private place in question, the office or the store. If she continues to patronize or work at a place where she is molested, it can only be voluntary. But in a public place, no such presumption exists. As we have seen, according to accepted theory at least, the public domain is owned by all, women included. It would be just as illegitimate to assume that a woman gave tacit agreement to being molested on the public street because she was walking there as it would be to assume that she gave tacit agreement to an assault in her own house, because she happened to be there.

Walter Block would be right at home at Foxconn. Shit, he’d be at home on a plantation. In his book, whoever pays you, owns you.

the secretary agrees to all aspects of the job when she agrees to accept the job and especially when she agrees to keep the job.

This guy is one of the leading anarcho-capitalists, and he’s a lunatic. Imagine the sort of behavior he’d condone by the owner of a private road or private sidewalk!

      Something to remember:

      http://rationalwiki.org/wiki/Zeigler's_Law

      Zeigler’s Law:

If a politician says that government is a problem, what he means is that if you elect him, government will be a problem.

      1. Look you’ve managed to identify an incident where Block is wrong about what is and isn’t aggression.

That’s fine, but in no way invalidates anarcho-capitalism or Block’s arguments for private roads.

But bottom line is what would you know about coercion or property rights anyway? LaFleur, you haven’t shown any sign that you have regard for property rights and hence you defend the harassed woman only arbitrarily.

  19. David No, you don’t understand LaFleur, the Swedes are worse off than the poorest state in the United States. You know, places like Mississippi where a fifth of the population is impoverished and has no access to healthcare or decent housing?

Sweden is worse than that. Much worse. A living nightmare of Big Government Statism in action

David, I’ve been to Sweden(a number of years ago). It was no sad sack place. From what I say. It’s a very nice country. I’ve been to Paris and the Neitherlands as well. Very nice and clean. People live in smaller spaces but that just means they spend less money on junk.
