“Caucasian Law Enforcement Defends Minority Rights,” by Alpha Unit

Harris County, Texas, is the site of the latest push for civil rights in America. The minority in question are Caucasians.

In Harris County, sheriff’s deputies seeking solidarity with like-minded others have their pick of civil rights “flavors” – the Mexican-American Sheriff’s Organization, the Afro-American Sheriff’s Deputy League, and, now, the Caucasian Law Enforcement Association.

Its founder, deputy Daniel McCool, is concerned, he says, with hiring practices of Sheriff Adrian Garcia, who was elected a couple of years ago as the county’s first Hispanic sheriff.

McCool doesn’t claim to have evidence of hiring malfeasance, but he believes that hiring is now based not on merit but on that old standard of “who you know” or on some kind of commitment to affirmative action. He and his fellow White officers are now, according to him, feeling the sting of discrimination that is coming from people “we used to call minorities.”

Mark Warren, whose article brought all of this to my attention, has a local’s take on the situation:

I’m from a little town in east Harris County called Highlands, and I can attest to the fact that there has always been a Caucasian Law Enforcement Association standing up for the rights of Whites. It’s called the “Harris County Sheriff’s Department.”

  1. Well, if this is indeed true (and I confess I don’t know the facts here), then this just shows that when non-whites have power and privilege, they’re no better than we are.

When they’re in the majority and we’re in the minority, they won’t be any nicer to us than we were to them.

Somehow, I’m just not buying the whole “we just want equality and respect” line coming from non-white activists.

No group truly wants equality. They just want special power and privileges of their own. Of course, I don’t blame any group for wanting power and privilege, but I think naive whites need to stop buying the anti-racist crap.

Our numbers continue to decline, other groups grow in numbers and power, and on a social/cultural level, we’ve already gone down the tubes. Therefore, I’m not going to sacrifice my power and privilege on behalf of those who would discriminate against me if given the opportunity.

  2. Mark Warren appears to be in late 40s or early 50s.. I am not sure when he left (If he is an editor for Esquire I am very sure he is not there anymore..) Highlands, Texas but it is now roughly 90% White per Wikipedia. However Harris county as a whole is 36% non-Hispanic White (per the 2000 census..) in 1970 it was 80% non-Hispanic White. Does Mr. Warren believe his experiences as a youth in an almost all White town apply to the current status of Harris county on the whole…? It would appear so. A review of NAAWP on Wikipedia indicates that it is a White separatist organization. (There was very little information on it elsewhere…) EG by definition the NAAWP would be a Whites only affair.

According to their Facebook page all races and ethnicities are allowed to join the Caucasian Law Enforcement Group. Mr. Warren makes the claim that the two organizations are almost alike but gives us no details as to why he would make such a claim. His column appears to be just a screed which uses classic smear tactics. (He may be proven correct eventually but at this point he has not made any appeal to logic.) The Facebook page has several Thomas Paine quotes. And who was Thomas Paine.. ? Well he wrote this:
    http://www.thomaspaine.org/Archives/afri.html

“Our Traders in MEN (an unnatural commodity!) must know the wickedness of the SLAVE-TRADE, if they attend to reasoning, or the dictates of their own hearts: and such as shun and stiffle all these, wilfully sacrifice Conscience, and the character of integrity to that golden idol.

The Managers the Trade themselves, and others testify, that many of these African nations inhabit fertile countries, are industrious farmers, enjoy plenty, and lived quietly, averse to war, before the Europeans debauched them with liquors, and bribing them against one another; and that these inoffensive people are brought into slavery, by stealing them, tempting Kings to sell subjects, which they can have no right to do, and hiring one tribe to war against another, in order to catch prisoners. By such wicked and inhuman ways the English are said to enslave towards one hundred thousand yearly; of which thirty thousand are supposed to die by barbarous treatment in the first year; besides all that are slain in the
unnatural ways excited to take them. So much innocent blood have the managers and supporters of this inhuman trade to answer for to the common Lord of all!”

Not exactly praiseworthy of the actions of White slavers.

Now if we ask ourselves the question as to whether law enforcement agencies ever discriminate when they are run by someone who is not White, I would suggest reviewing this article:

    http://www.nytimes.com/2005/01/05/national/05sheriff.html

“JONESBORO, Ga., Jan. 4 (AP) – On his first day at work, the new sheriff of Clayton County called 27 employees into his office on Monday, fired them and had snipers stand guard on the roof as they were escorted out the door.”

“Sheriff Hill was among a spate of black candidates elected last year in the county, which was once dominated by rural whites. The fired employees included four of the highest-ranking officers, all of them white. Sheriff Hill told The Atlanta Journal-Constitution that their replacements would be black.”

By the way the judge in the case above who reinstated the fire deputies and the city council member who spoke out against the firings are also Black.

  3. I couldn’t care less about Mark Warren. What my post is concerned with is the Caucasian Law Enforcement Association. Warren’s article is where I first learned of it, and I found his take on it to be of some interest, but he isn’t really the issue here.

  4. To Alpha Unit:
I couldn’t care less about Mark Warren.

My apologies then, you cited his article twice in your post and then you quoted him and referred to him as a local which led me to believe you were giving credence to his words.

Personally I don’t know what to make of the organization yet. But, I did find Mr. Warren’s vitriolic reaction in a national magazine over a what appears to be, so far, a non consequential group with minimal information on it save for a Facebook entry, to be a bit odd.

About 5 years ago a few White students proposed forming a European club in an SF Bay area high school to discuss what it meant to be White in the US and specifically in California and their school. (Whites made up about 20% of the students..) They made it plain that any one of any race was welcome to come to the meetings and there were already a Black Student Union at the school as well as a Hispanic and Asian student groups. There were howls of protest against the students (even as several of their friends who not White spoke up to defend the founders of the group…) and the club was squelched before it even got started. In the aftermath at least two of the students had to transfer to other schools because of death threats and harassment. Mr. Warren’s reaction sort of reminds of the reaction to the students who tried to form the group at their school.

    1. Hey Uncle Milton, what specific case are you referring to? A link to that article about the white students would be great.

The whole “whites cannot form white groups because they are the dominant majority” line of reasoning is BS, since whites cannot form groups on their behalf even when they’re a minority, they’re not espousing hate, and they have the support of certain non-white students.

But really, should I be surprised by such violent reactions?

    2. Warren is allowed to react to it any way he wants, and so is anyone else. His is probably the typical liberal, PC reaction.

  5. To Bay Area Guy:

    Some links:

    http://www.washingtontimes.com/news/2003/sep/22/20030922-115056-2744r/

Here’s the article about the founder leaving school:
    http://articles.sfgate.com/2003-10-21/bay-area/17513784_1_caucasian-club-white-club-oakley

The SFGate article falsely states that her high school is majority White. Freedom High School
    is 47% non-Hispanic White (Per greatschools.net)
so Whites are neither a majority nor a minority but a plurality.

    1. Interesting articles.

The difference between white advocates like me and anti-racists are quite profound.

If I don’t like a certain club or organization (like the Black Student Union), then I simply don’t join that club.

If the anti-racists/far leftists don’t like a club (like the white/caucasian club), then nobody else should be allowed to join it either.

Yeah, I know, we whites are so powerful and privileged that we don’t need an organization designed to advance our interests. We don’t need to learn about our heritage because every month is white history month. It’s okay to learn about the Irish or Greeks, but not whites, since whites are evil and whiteness is negative (What exactly is wrong with pan-European unity?). Non-white pride is a reaction to white supremacy, while white pride is an expression of hatred.

Yup, I’ve read all of the non-white/anti-racist articles and literature. Been there, done that.

The way I see it, if you don’t like the white club, don’t join. And I’m not buying this BS about how such a club could morph into a white supremacist movement. Obviously, one cannot be pro-white without becoming a neo-nazi.

Tell me, has a black or anti-racist activist has been lynched or assassinated lately?

The fact that the far left is more concerned about white kids wanting to form a positive pro-white group than a group of crazy “Muslims” (I put that in quotes since Islam frowns upon such behavior) getting South Park censored because it simply shows the prophet Muhammad (and not in a stereotypical way) is quite telling.

      1. There is still something called freedom of association in this country. If a group of White people want to get together and form some White group, they’re allowed. They do, in fact.

So what exactly is the problem? You want to be able to form a pro-White group AND you want other people’s approval?

      2. There is still something called freedom of association in this country. If a group of White people want to get together and form some White group, they’re allowed.

Well, in theory, we’re allowed to do various things. However, in practice, that certainly isn’t the case.

Unlike pro-black organizations and groups, white groups that form have to deal with frequent harassment, rejection, and even death threats.

I don’t say this as some Glenn Beck white victimologist, but forming white groups isn’t as easy as you think. Remember, whites no longer have this freedom of association. We must now “diversify” everything.

So what exactly is the problem? You want to be able to form a pro-White group AND you want other people’s approval?

I don’t want anybody’s approval. I just want them to stay the hell out of our way. Non-whites and anti-racists can scream bloody murder all they want, so long as their words don’t translate into actions.

I think pro-white groups should stop arguing about this from a moral standpoint (ie. “blacks can have their organizations, so why can’t we?”) because such arguments fall directly into the anti-racist’s trap (ie. “you whites are so dominant and privileged that you can’t form a pro-white group!”).

Instead, white advocates should approach this matter from a purely legal and political standpoint. Despite all the attempts of far leftists to weaken our numbers and influence, we still are the majority in this nation.

I say it’s about time we put the ballot and the courthouse to good use (kind of like we did with prop 209).

      3. Are you seriously telling me that a group of White people in this country can’t form a pro-White organization? This is something Whites have, in fact, done.

I’m afraid that harassment, rejection, and death threats goes with the territory of being an unpopular group, and this is something pro-Black groups had to deal with historically.

Sometimes there’s nothing “free” about free speech.

      4. I’m afraid that harassment, rejection, and death threats goes with the territory of being an unpopular group, and this is something pro-Black groups had to deal with historically.

With the exception of the Nation of Islam and the New Black Panthers, pro-black groups do not get monitored by the SPCL and ADL. Pro-black groups do not have their conferences cancelled due to death threats and other threats of violence against hotels planning to host such conferences.

Sure, some black activists and anti-racists have to deal with death threats, but those threats rarely translate into meaningful action.

Whites have the right to form pro-white organizations, but they encounter incredible resistance and hostility (often from their own people!), which pro-non-white groups don’t have to deal with

Sometimes there’s nothing “free” about free speech.

And that’s exactly the problem, isn’t it? Free speech certainly isn’t free in an area infested by PC cultural Marxism and radical anti-racism.

      5. Free speech wasn’t that free under state-sanctioned discrimination and segregation, either. And yet people put their lives on the line and organized anyway. Some of them got killed.

In their minds, it had to be done. People who can’t understand the costs of doing this kind of thing need to find some other way to occupy themselves.

Hey, no one said it was going to be easy. However, it’s still going to have to be done. Hopefully, this can be done through grassroots activism and the political process.

As Malcolm X said, it’s either the ballot or the bullet (and no, unlike Pat Buchanan, I am in no way trying to compare the situation of white advocates to the oppression blacks endured 5 decades ago).

All I know is that as whites continue to decline and be pushed into a corner, action will be taken. Hopefully, violence will not be part of the equation. However, anti-racists and the left are going to have to temper their demands and adopt a more realistic approach to race relations if they want to avoid further alienating whites.

  6. To Alpha Unit:

There is still something called freedom of association in this country. If a group of White people want to get together and form some White group, they’re allowed.

Did you even read the article about the Caucasian club..? It was open to everyone, even so it was not allowed.

      1. To Alpha Unit:

If the student’s rights were violated, she has every right to make her case in a court of law.

Apparently two civil rights organizations were contacted but they declined to take the case. It takes money to make one’s case in court.

      2. Sure. It takes money to do just about everything. If you don’t have the money, I guess you can’t get justice.

  7. To Alpha Unit:
Warren is allowed to react to it any way he wants, and so is anyone else.

Yes, he is allowed to react any way he wants but as a editor of Esquire, he is able to project his reaction to a far greater audience than you or I. Also, If Mr. Warren wants to keep his job he realizes there are certain subjects and reactions to those subjects that he can not broach. So in effect, he can not react any way he wants to any subject and maintain
    his bully pulpit.

What is your opinion (if any) of this new law organization?

    1. It doesn’t surprise me in the least that a group of White police officers would organize in their interests. It doesn’t impress me that much, either.

      1. To Alpha Unit

It doesn’t surprise me in the least that a group of White police officers would organize in their interests. It doesn’t impress me that much, either.

Well I am neither impressed or unimpressed since they haven’t done anything yet and if I read the articles correctly they have a whooping 5 members. What’s interesting to me is the reaction.

      2. Nobody cares whether or not they’ve done anything, or how many members they have. People don’t trust their motives, for some of the reasons Bay Area Guy mentioned.

People are suspicious of anything that is officially “pro-White.” It isn’t just non-Whites who feel this way. A lot of White people feel this way, too.

  8. Thank you Uncle Milton for your fair assessment of our group. I wasn’t impressed with Mark Warren’s article either. I’ve spent much of my life standing up against things that are wrong and defending those who can’t.

I left MASO after they changed their Mission Statement to basically stating they supported advancement of Hispanics… not the best qualified or based on merit.

Our agency lowered the hiring standards to a ninth grade reading level, did away with physical fitness testing and even now has hired employees with teardrops running down their cheek. Our citizens deserve the best qualified persons for the job. Just think, these new employees are the ones that will be investigating our crimes, writing reports, and testifying in courtrooms against defense attorneys who have more than 18 years of education.

I know we will unfortunately continue to face the critics claiming we’re racist and bigots.
