"We Are Not Our Ancestors"

We Are Not Our Ancestors: Evidence for Discontinuity between Prehistoric and Modern Europeans I just found this intense article right now, and I’m going to post it, but I haven’t looked it over yet. Her contention is that that present-day Europeans are not descended from Paleolithic Europeans, in other words, the folks who made the first musical instrument and the first figurine are not the ancestors of the present-day Europeans. I don’t know who these Paleolithic folks were, but I assume that like populations elsewhere in the world, they were part of some human race that just doesn’t exist anymore. Like I said, I have not read the post, but I assume that the Indo-Europeans must have overrun those Paleolithic folks and either displaced them or swamped them out. Feel free to look it over and see what she’s up to.

  1. It’s hilarious that WNs are trying to claim credit for the achievements of Paleolithic Europeans. I thought the whole point was that Brave Aryan Warriors appeared from the steppes and beat up the nerdy little wogs and stuffed them into their lockers.
I’m actually surprised how little ancestry of these primordials survives, though, esp. mitochondrial, as one would think that the invading hordes would have appropriated the attractive and nubile women of the conquered peoples.

      LOL!

Yeah, I don’t understand this at all, man. So much of it just doesn’t make sense. It’s like there is little continuity in Europe at all. I wonder if it even makes sense for Greeks to claim Ancient Greeks or Italians to claim Romans. Looking back at these early Europeans, it’s like we are talking about races and ethnic groups that just don’t even exist anymore.
Saying “they are our ancestors so we claim their heritage” is retarded. Going back far enough, my ancestors are Black. Ok, now what? I get to claim all Black achievements as my own? Before that, my ancestors were frogs. Ok, now what? I get to claim all frog achievements as my own? Should I stock my apartment with terrariums full of frogs in celebration of my frog great grandpa? WTH man?

    2. Yeah, sort of like how the Jews claim credit for the achievements of the ancient Hebrews. Don’t you guys do it too?

  2. The writer of site that you linked to also has an obvious Jewish name. Considering the history of Jews in anthropology(Boas), I’m skeptical about the purpose of it.

  3. If mtDNA is subject to selective pressures, then the proportion of haplotypes can change over time in a given population without touching too much the autosomal inheritance, hence the possibility of a higher degree of Paleolithic ancestry on modern European populations than what mtDNA suggests. But still Paleolithic Europeans don’t equate modern ones, and it’s possible they make part of the ancestry of a population as geographically distant as the Amerindians. Their material cultures have so many points in common i wouldn’t deem it improbable.

  4. I love your website, so informative and intereting with a dash of humor. I may not agree with you on everything (mostly political things and your pro-abortion), but after lurking through the site for a few days, I can really say I respect you. you explain yourself well with everything you write, seem to have an educated and open mind w/o being a self-hater like so many libral whites I know. I love your race relation and geneology topics. keep up the good work.

  5. I have to give credit for a good blog, since I’m usually a blog hater, I find them annoying most of the time.
sorry if my spelling/grammer is not so great, I was always a math/science type person… lol, and I’m not going to pretend I know everthing, I have flaws.

    1. Most blogs are not that great, bottom line. That’s all there is to it. It’s sad because some blogs are truly awesome. But blogs have this reputation for just being a joke. The MSM ignores us and refuses to link to us or quote us, but they steal our scoops (yeah, we scoop them all the time). The MSM journalists pretty much hate us. They consider us to be competition, but they won’t admit it. Plus we are “unprofessional.” Wikipedia has a standing policy of no linking to blogs. Discrimination!
